got a call from this number. Guy with a heavy east indian accent; said his name was Eddie, calling on behalf of RBC ( Royal Bank of Canada ). Said I had a problem with my account, when I told him that  RBC wasn't my bank he then proceeded to say he was from CIBC, then BMO. Told him to F-off and that he was just plain stupid to try to scam me.

I got called at almost exactly 1 am eastern, it's almost like they're waiting for a specific time to call people. They called three times, and used a program with pre-recorded messages to speak to me, claimed to be chris hansen from Dateline. Fortunately I was up already, the second and third time they called I simply answered and hung up instantly

this is a weirdo prank caller, super annoying. Called back 3 times. Seemed to know that our number is a radio station.

Unless the call is from a company you know you currently deal with *and* they can verify more than your address, phone number, and name (e.g., for credit card, what credit card you have; for banks, what kind of account you have; etc.) don't give out *any* info.  Even third parties calling on bahalf of companies you deal with should have this info.

Good general rule with phone calls: ask more questions than you answer.   If they can't answer your questions, you don't want to deal with them.  (If you ask too many questions, the scammers seem to hang up.)

I received the same fake Ontario Hydro call just a few minutes ago. I hung up and they repeatedly called back.. thank God for call blocking!  It is a complete scam!

This number calls me several times a day................every day.  I never answer.  They never leave a message.

Got two calls from "Richard" at 760-705-8888 whose english was almost unintelligible (thick Indian accent). Trying to 'sell' me on the wonders of "Hydropower" a "Canadian government organization".  Really!  When I asked him the purpose of his call on the 2nd go round, he hung up.  He is just fishing for idiots I suspect, who are willing to share personal information with a stranger on the phone.

This number called this morning asking for the manager and said Alice and Mike will come to our office for inspection tomorrow afternoon at 2pm. They also asked for a cell# to send a text msg, but we did not get any text msg so far. Have you got such phone calls? Any result?

17607058888  This number called me today stating that my computer was in jeopardy, that it was sending critial messages to the server and this was my last chance to fix the issue before my computer failed.  They went on to say that person information was trying to be sent and I needed to stop it immediately.  They offered to assist me is identifying the issue.  This is a scam!!!!!!

Call came a few minutes ago. Area code is in California and I live 5000 miles away. Did not answer. Checked # and it is belongs to scammers

i am getting phone calls between one and four a.m. the caller says nothing just plays music. he calls over and over until we have no other choice but to turn the phone off. its been happening for the past three days

I received a call from this number at 4:00 am this morning. When I called the number at 11:00 got message that call could not be completed and to try again. Which I did with same answer.

Fellow said he was with an Internet Security Management company and I said I wasn't interested and hung up. He then called me back and said "miss I am not trying to sell you anything" and I told him I knew who he was and what he was trying to do then hung up. Hasn't called me back.

These same guys called my mom and tried the same thing a few weeks back.

The guy, speeking in french (which is my first langage), was pretending to be from my cell phone company, to give me a 50% off on my next acount bill! He asked me for informations about me (home phone number, date of birth, street home adress, full name). I felt suspicious when he asked me for my PIN of my cell phone acount!

This number called me today and  it was actually my girlfriend from thousands of miles away, the connection was very clear, if you could not hear.. it's because they do not have a mic or they have a malfunctioning mic.

I got nothing but a hang up when a call came a minute apart of each other!

Received calls from same number four times--East Indian, I think.  Prank caller asked me to verify who and address--I did not.  Beware of anyone asking for information to verify your name or address!

I had these people call me last night around midnight where I am twice and it hasn't stopped they called like three or four more times!! I didn't answer because it was so late and I was sleeping. It's a [***] like [***] em' I pay per min of talk time and I don't need to waste it on them.
