- Irritated replies to never mindI agree, I have one student loan with SallieMae. This number has called four times today alone. This is very common happening every other day or so. I have spoken with them numerous times reiterating I will call when I can pay. This is not neccessary to repeatedly call. I have loans with other providers who do not do this at all. I am making the same payments to them as I do to SallieMae. The harrassment is unexcusable.
- 765-283-3176Sallie Mae calls 3-4 times daily when I already esnt my payments and posted to my account.
I wish there were laws stipulating 1 call per day. This is a nuisance- Call type: Debt collector
- krissy replies to Ron| 1 replyI'm just a young girl and they keep calling me...
- skip44Apparantly my number was given as a reference for a loan. Now they call me frequently and leave 877-809-8533 as a number to call back. Be aware that if you call from the same number they called you at, it is in their data base and they know immediatly who it is. They ask for my DOB and SSN to verify. I won't verify the name, and of course, don't give then any information. I only called back once just to see what their MO was.
- Caller: Sallie May (Gen. Revenue Corp)

- skip44I have done some research and they are General Revenue Corp. (GRP). They are a debt collection company (obviously) and are a wholly owned subsidiary of SLM Corp., more commonly known as Sallie May and have been in business for 29 years. This info comes directly from their website. There is a lot of info about them, just do a search.

- ALyThis is a Collection Agency for Sallie Mae. I've asked why they continuously call and never leave a message. He said he wasn't sure, and that he didn't work in the calls department, just collections. I told them that I knew my account was past due, I just spoke with someone last week that I would pay my past due amount on my payday, the following Thursday (which is two days from today) and I didn't want to schedule a payment because I like to make sure the money is in my account before I make a payment in case something were to happen with my paycheck so I can avoid an overdraft fee (my luck, it would happen!). He said I would continue to get multiple phone calls a day unless I scheduled a payment so long as it is over due. This is only 10 days overdue. I just told him I would just continue to not answer my phone and that it's a little ridiculous that if they want their money, they should probably be professional enough to at least leave a message rather than call me 5 times a day on two different phones (office & cell) and just annoy the crap out of me. Fabulous.
- DDIt's for student loans not mine

- pippi replies to never mindAgreed. I've answered the phone twice and told them there is no one here that has student loans or owes anything, and NOT to call back, scratch me off their list, etc. Debt free here, MFs, but they keep calling from 3 other phone numbers. [***] sick of it.
- MaryI dont even answer it anymore I wish it would stop. How do I block this call?
- susiequit calling
- Reader replies to krissyIf you are a young girl and you get these calls most likely the number that was assigned to your cell phone was previously used by someone who owes the money. Unfortunately these companies won't listen and keep calling.
- AnonymCalls on weekends early morings, late nights, all afternoon. It has pissed me off so bad that I am taking the trouble of contacting my state AG - they are big on consumer cases.

- MoeI am 57 and don't have any student loans yet they call at least 4 times an hour for the last month. My number is a business number so the "Do Not Call" registry is useless. I put my fax machine on that number yet they still call.

- cak118Sallie Mae is a B! they refuse to work with you regardless if you say you can't afford their high payment - they ask what can you afford but then turn around and say well this is all we can do - the original payment amount so why did they ask what i can afford!?! Dumb A!. i hate having to deal w/them. I stay in school just to keep that S deferred! I did a consolidation with Direct Loans - they are WONDERFUL! but sallie didn't qualify for the consolidation so i have to deal w/them. they are the absolute worst!!!

- elois thomasI have been harassed by this automated called for months now, several times a day. I once talked to someone and told him, I don't have a student loan, but I co-signed for my nephew, they said it don't matter, got real nasty and I hung up on him. Calls still come, I have to turn my ringer off, this is pure hell, I have a heart disease and can not deal with this, and should not have to.
how do I make this stop!- Caller: sallie mae

- elois thomas| 1 replyIt got to be something that can be done to stop Sallie Mae, from these automatic harassing phone calls. I am a co-signer, I told them that, and they said as long as I am they can call until the debt is paid. I am a disabled senior citizen with fixed income, how can they get away with this? I want to sue they ass off. Someone give me some advise on this animals.

- MalaepheousThis agency has been calling my 16 year old son's phone and leaving messages repeatedly for weeks.
My wife has tried calling them to clarify the situation, but to no avail.
I finally got a live person on the line when I called them back this time and assured them that neither my son or anyone I know has any Sallie Mae loan, much less a loan in default.
The collection agent said that my son must have just acquired the number recently as the "system" has it listed as "valid".
I advised the agent, with no small degree of restaint, that thier "system" most assuredly is incorrect and that my son has had the same number for about 2 years, now.
The oh-so-kindly agent then informed me that she would "notate in the system" that the status of the number would be changed to "invalid" and that thier agency would desist.
I suppose we'll see.- Call type: Debt collector
