The caller ID actually said Spam? Portfolio. I've never seen that before.

Suddenly started getting calls from this number we don't owe anyone and we aren't behind on any thing they don't leave any messages

Be aware that those robot/spam blockers have access to any call to your number. I'm not ready to give up any more of my privacy.

Calls frequently and never leaves a message. A phone call immediately follows from San Jacinto CA (951) 651-2381 and does not leave a message, must be connected some how.

Another Portfolio Recovery number, they have several local and long distance numbers they call from.  I will continue to flood the FCC with an "Unwanted Call" Complaint Form every time they call.  You must submit these particular complaints "under penalty of perjury" so do not lie on them.....and keep the email you get for confirmation.  We should all be doing this.  They have been in trouble for illegal debt collection activities before.  They clearly do not care if they break the law.  Wish a consumer protection attorney was easier to find to sue their [***] for harassment.   A legal debt collector would send something in writing.

If the people calling us from this number are calling to collect on a debt they are calling the wrong phone number as we have NO outstanding debts never have and never will.  My bet is this is a scam and they left no message so their number has been blocked.

The problem is this:

Your "new" number is somebody’s “old” number. And if that number has ever been involved in any type of debt collection, even for a ten dollar magazine subscription, these people will call it! And what makes it worse, is a debt collection effort seems to live on the books virtually forever!!

What makes it even worse is that there is a simply, viable, permanent solution and no one wants to use it because it is too much trouble.  Oh well, this outfit has been known to call for years and years and years from over a thousand numbers.  Guess everyone will have to get used to the calls.

If I. didn't I i work nights  I wouldn't need an alarm clock as these jerks  have a habit of starting my morning off calling me at 8:01 A.M. and then again between 2 and 3 P.M. almost every day.  They never leave a message. They also use number 859 635 4142.

I decided to pick up because I'm expecting a call around that time.  some a hole named Frank wanting to sell me an alarm. I in no uncertain terms told him never to call here again and did not want his unsolicited call. And looking at the history of this number it seems it's been used for several things. As of today's call it's a Frank calling from some alarm company. Scum. Scam
