Your company is a scam.  If you were legitimate, you would not block the Caller ID on your phone number.  And you certainly are not a Foundation.  We are on the Do Not Call list and you called us anyway.  I don't know how you people sleep at night.

Luckily, I am now able to forward telemarketing numbers to other telemarketers.  No more calls from you!

These guys call almost daily.

They always use a sleazy line like this 'We were talking to Joseph about the SATs, and he expressed an interest in our study aids'...

Two problems with that:
1. 'Joseph' goes by his middle name, not Joseph.
2. 'Joseph' drowned when he was 9 years old and now has restricted fine motor control and cannot talk, amongst other handicaps.

I politely tell the caller he is lying to me. He gets flustered and denies lying. I inform them of why I know they are lying. They usually hang up.

Once, a rather feisty caller was so offended that I called him a liar, he used weaselly, spurious logic to try to validate himself. I pointed out that to deliberately speak a falsehood is lying, and that made him a liar, QED. Then he hung up.

Any company that resorts to lies to sell their product is suspect from the start. The fact that this company uses a script intended to prey on parental insecurity about their child's future and the lack of communication that often is the norm between parent and child in the teen years is further evidence that they are not selling a quality product.

They are using cheap tactics to garner quick and emotionally biased sales. Sales made using emotional bias are quickly defended by those who bought in, because they are defending the basis of that emotional justification, not the purchase itself.

For those who purchased this program and are now defending it, ask yourself, could you have done as much or more for your child by investing a little bit of personal time communicating with your child and researching study aids with them?

I saw this number on my caller id and then checked here to see what it was.   no more than an hour later the phone rang and it was this number again.  I was expecting a high pressured salesman.  It was a nice gentleman who explained what he was calling about and that my daughter requested information about preparing for SAT's.  I asked where did she request the info, he said there was a survey when she took the PSAT.  I explained that I wasnt in a financial position at this time to make any purchases.  he thanked me for my time and hung up.  He hadn't even tried the sales pitch, or a rebuttle.  Im sure its a decent product and am glad i didnt have to fight with a salesman.  wish i would have gotten his name.

This number 773 698-6064 has called several times today I went to their website that I found through using Google to get the information and used the "contact us" link to request they stop calling but they seem to ignore that request. I refuse to give out my real name and email on their form for fear they will spam me as as well. When I answered the phone the last time they called they would not say anything. I wanted to tell the person off, but never got the chance!!!!

They called me regarding an SAT study course.  I told them I was not interested and she kept calling every minute.  8 calls in 8 minutes.  When I stopped answering she started calling from her cell phone.  Is there someone official we can report this to?  This lady is wacko.  It was a lady named Victoria.

They called my mother asking for the parent of my daughter who is only 14 who is no where near college at this time.  Gave the incorrect last name of my daughter anyways.  These people need to get a life.

My son took a practice SAT in the seventh grade offered by northwestern university. It came from chicago located 45 minutes away so maybe that was them wanting to ask me if my son wanted to take a pratice test. The guy hanged up on me three times before I answered.

They are a complete rip off!!!

They lie and train you to lie. It's actually the University Prep Center!!! Look on the BBB, they are awful. Once you give your credit card number, game over. Any employee can easily take your credit card number. When they call, they say it's the Smart Education Foundation. They call from 773 698 6064 but when you call for a refund, it's 866 343 6754 which is University Prep Center.

I worked for them and was ripped off and not paid my last paycheck. We are not, I repeat, not a non-profit like they claim. We get paid 20 dollars commission per sale. Also you will get a 54.95 a month recurring fee if you don't say "no"....... It is a disgusting place in a basement of some old building. The owner swears on the phone during operating hours if people are calling to complain. They will just hang up on you if you try to get a refund. I've witnessed it!!! Dave, the owner is a hothead and completely unprofessional. They completely use their employees and btw, we read from a one-page script. It's a joke. Do not work with or work for this company. The product sucks. They use a dialer and do not honor the do not call list. But it's hard to prove that. The leads are generated by them paying companies for the leads.....meaning.......your kid did not show an interest, it's a ploy to get you to buy. Go ahead and ask your kid.....of course they remember taking the PSAT but they did not check off they were interested. Your child's school will give you everything you need.

One more thing......the employees do not need any knowledge of anything. There is two days of training and then you sit in your little box and log into your screen name and sit on the computer. Employees do not get paid unless they are in "ready" mode. The system sucks and is down all the time. New employees beware!

Last thing.....overall the employees are decent people just down on their luck in the real world, probably desperate for any job. Turnover is high....morale is low.....they don't do anything for their employees. They use them. The employer is the real [***]. I can't complain too much, it's a good way to make money, but it's not cool at all especially how we are trained to lie.

someone from this number has called my house for the last 3 days,  it rings 3-4 times then they hang up.  I have caller id so i won't be answering it.

This number calls me two to three times a day and when I answered the first time they were rude and I declined they're service because my daughter did not attend this career day that they said is where they obtained her information and number from thet he had actually spoken to her there and how she had expressed alot of interest in taking there prep course! She hadn't even attended any career day anything. After declining them I have received phone calls from them constantly

I have been getting calls all hours of the day and night (9 pm) and no one speaks when we answer the phone.  It's very annoying to be woke up by a ringing phone and no one say anything.  Especially when I am on the no call list. It's bad when you have to *69 to find out the number and then google the number to find out who's calling.  I have been screaming "SPEAK" into the phone the last week or so.  What can be done?  I hope this will help stop the calls...PLEASE!

I'm not certain what type of SCAM is going on, but, I strongly suspicion that Smartef.org has figured out a way that they HOPE will make them bundles of money through the GRANDPARENTS of school children. When they contacted me, they asked if we were the 'parents' of a girl named 'Marissa'. We do have a GRANDDAUGHTER named Marissa, although Smartef.org did not even offer Marissa's LAST name. It is also interesting to note that SEF in Chicago, called us in Arkansas, about our GRANDDAUGHTER in Arizona !!!

Very glad to not be working at this place anymore.  The place is sketchy as hell.  They are not non-profit, they are supposedly in the process of getting their non profit status, but I think it's just malarkey.  They ripped me off on my final paycheck as well - pulled 2 weeks' worth of child support out of one week's check - and in the process violated a Michigan statute regarding child support stating they cannot take more than 50 percent of a payer's check.  Justice may be served soon though.  I hear Dept of Labor stopped by today...
