this number for me has cost me alot of my free air time & money.  I have crossed refrenced this number with my text messages & none coinside. But these are usually 1 right after the other and they are always at peek times, hardly ever after 9 at night. I am determined to find out what this number is, because if it is not lagitamate then Verizon owes me air time & money. Over 1500 minutes of airtime & over $120. & that is just one line so far.

I just went through four months of calls on my cell phone bill and charges of close to $500 were charged due to this phone number. I called Verizon and after having me on hold for a half hour the tech didn't know what happened and referred my account to financial services for "Billing error" review. If any of you have been paying more than you normally do for your bills call Verizon asap. I don't know what the outcome is yet but they better be crediting my account.

His scanner allows him to change the incoming # when he wishes--to confuse the police AND at&t----I'm fighting alone to get this tool away from him--taking him to civil court and, going to check on harrassment, stalking and misuse of this tool--He was free lancing for Embark when i caught him--they let him go, after i called and told them i was going to sue.  - He's not "over seas" he's "always" in that house of horrors and finding new ways to harrass and put fear in people lie you and i.....I have 2 years of police calls on this guy--I know an E-15 in the Dept. of defense whose confirming that he's randomly using this tool which only shows crazy #'s on our caller id's.........After the hurricanes he constantly came over for no reason at all--After telling him this must stop unless my husband is home--The torture began--I make him very angry that he does'nt  scare me, I think he may do something of another venue to see me fear him--I may go to the media  with this info......For now--I have is nasty  lil' voice on my answer machine--see, he's not all that intelligent--Don't show fear and he goes away--He just isn't having fun if he does'nt make you fear him...Listen to your phone carefully--Do any of your contacts ask you what 'that beep on the phone is'??  Just listen and you will know if he's on your line--His scanner does not work on 'corded' phones--nor, cell phones---Just  a little FYI and, 5 years of history with this bi-polar jerk.   Show at&t the #'s and, they cannot charge you as there are no such 'public' #'s in this format and, therefore they should absolutely reimburse you.  Wish i could give you my name and #--But, he's already gotten enough out of me to continue his reign of toying with me--I don't like his games and, i let him know it--but, that just made his day.  Good luck.

I just had some on my last bill and it turns out the short cut keys can be preset/setup to make data calls which show up as 777 calls.  Some Samsung phones come with the up arrow navigation key set to call for news.
You can easily mistakenly make a call this way.  The 4 navigation arrows can be set up via the short cut key in your phone settings menu to be more
useful/less harmful - like alarm or calculator.

I have also been getting these on my Verizon account, and the account is being reviewed right now to take off over $300 in charges for this number.  It is supposed to now be blocked, but I just got a bill and it has it again on all three of our phones!  They will be hearing from me again!

I have been having an ongoing problem with this number showing up on my bills as far back as last November.  Each month, the calls are showing up more frequent.  This month alone, Verizon is trying to charge me over $256 for "data calls" I most certainly did not make.  I have tried talking to customer service, battling it out with them to take $20 here and there off my bills.  I will be filing a complaint with the FCC (which I strongly suggest anybody with this problem does)  and possibly the BBB.  This appears to be a very wide-spread problem.

I am a policy writer and after reading these complaints I am motivated to get the ball rolling!

First of all Verizon charges customers x amount per month for lets say 450 minutes. If we loose the minutes because we don't use them then we should either #1 receive a discount on our bill per month, or #2 have our minutes roll forward for the next months usage. Otherwise if they don't offer something like this they are committing fraud.

If Verizon charges x amount of money per month for x amount of minutes per month then customers should be able to retain that x amount of minutes until they are used.

For Verizon to erase minutes and charge us the same amount as if we used those minutes is charging us for something we did not use. In other words, we are paying for service not rendered. Paying for service not rendered is fraud.

If you are charged and not given what you paid for, is like being forced to pay for food you can't eat. Even worse forced to buy groceries for someone else's family [concerning the 777 charges]

The Democrats are looking for issues like this, you can count on them to jump on it-
