    Hello Everyone,
I would like to add some clarity to the muddle Calls from 777-xxx-xxxx are calls from voip services. I can tell you this because I have one of these numbers. Voip services examples are vonage, skype, att callvantage. One of these users is burning you all. To what end I couldn't say. I use this service for legitimate calls and cheap phone service. So all call traces of the 777 area code will fail. There is no such location, it is "out there" in the internet. I hope this helps you in getting the credit you deserve from Verizon. Good luck with that.

We just got a phone bill from verizon with $177 of charges from this number. The charges appear in sequence, example 1:23 Pm 1:24 Pm and each might have 2-3 minutes of usage. Verizon said it is internet usage even though this phone is blocked for all usage except phone and text.  The usage is also in the middle of the night.  Verizon has been the worst carrier we have ever had and are absolute crooks. Our phone quit under warranty and when it was replaced they refused to replace the battery cover even though the battery was replaced. They sent duplicate phones and then lied to us about where to get a battery cover, I wasted 412 in gas going to a store that said they never heard of us even though the phone back was supposed to be waiting for us there.  they should quit spending so much money on advertising and start spending it on customer service.

I am having the same problem.  I have been with Verizon for years, I have back up assistance as well.  I have noticed these numbers on my moms phone while she is sleeping.  She works nights and sleeps during the day and these number are one right after another during the day.  She is not texting, pixing, or flixing.  I am going to call Verizon in the morning.  Her bill is $650 due to these calls.  That is for one month.  Absolutely ridiculous.  What is Verizon doing?

I Have been seeing this number on my husbands phone for the past 9 months
I called Verizon and they said using data products and services such as Get It Now, Mobile Web, Picture and Video Messaging, and National Access, the phone numbers (777) 000-0001, (000) 000-0000, or (000) 000-0001 will appear in the "Usage detail" section of your statement.  This number signifies airtime that was used by data applications. Well I stated we have only calling services no texting or internet and he check and said I was correct so now they put a block on our phones for 7770000001

Here's the answer I just received for a customer serve chat:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Yashica'
Yashica: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service.  How may I help you today?
Me: I was looking at my bill and noticed I was being charged for this number 777-000-0001. What is this?
Yashica: I will be more than happy to confirm what is 777-000-0001 that is listed on the bill.
    Yashica: It is Data
Me: What does that mean? I pay for a data plan already. And why is it charged under voice instead of data?
Yashica: ..although you are paying for a data plan. All data , voice and text are recorded on a detailed statement.
Yashica: I have not heard from you in a few moments.  Would you like me to keep this chat session open for you?
Me: That makes no sense. Please explain why I have never called that number or received a call from that number but I am being charged from that number?
Yashica: ... May I please get you to verify the last four digits of your social security number please?
    Me: XXXX
Yashica: Thank you. Reviewing your account you are paying for mobile web which is $5 a month. You do not have a data package. Therefore each time you access the web your minutes are being deducted. On your bill it will read "777's" because this is our Internet default number. Just as we assign (*86 & #225).
Me: So even though I pay $5 a month for mobile web, I still get charged?
Yashica: It comes out of your minutes because you do not have a data package.
Yashica: If you purchase a data package  your browsing as well as minutes you will be included in the plan.

777-000-0001 is Verizon text message or photo. In other words a data call. 0086 is when you check your voice mail. No it's not come crazed person hiding in the bushes waiting for you to come outside and blow you up. Where do people come up with this stuff??

This is the number from Hell it appears on my bills starting from june 07. First time I called they said text messaging. Then over the past 6 months they have increased and I've been fighting $1,000 phone bills.  They can't tell me where these text message came from or to whom they went.  I can tell you this I didn't send them or receive them on my phone.  Also the 000-000-0086 voicemail number is out of control.  Verizon said both incoming calls to my voicemail(someone leaving me a message) and me checking my messages are in cluded in this number.  I also have pages and pages of numbers from hackensac NJ 551-265-7850, Standardsvl VA 434-992-0678, Washngtnzn3MD 240-501-0671, Charlotte NC 704-222-3770, Okla City OK 405-413-9784 and Nwycyzn06 NY 718-915-4500.  Verizon will not tell me who these numbers belong too.  They suggest I get the records Subpoenaed.  What is going on?  I have been disputing the charges for months today they suspended my cell phones, Land Line and email.  Since I have what they call One Bill Verizon Land Line takes over the billing.  They automatically pay off your Verizon Wireless balance.  So VZ land line in turn is trying to collect the disputed charges.  They won't turn on my services until Verizon Wireless submits the credits.  Now what I am being held hostage.  I know even if I Pay it I won't ever get it back.  I'll keep you posted.  I live in Massachusetts if anyone has any of these numbers and knows anything please help.  thank you

My phone has been shut off now for 3 weeks because verizon claims i owe them over 400 dollars. When i asked why i owe so much they told me i went over my minutes by 330 minutes. i told them that this was impossible and i requested a full detailed bill. I just recieved that bill and the 777 000-0001 number is all over it, racking up a total of 636 minutes. this is ridiculous, there is no explaination for this at all. that is 10 hours of being on my phone just for this one reason, who has time to be on their phone for 10 hours. Im going to talk to them today. and either they are going to change this, OR i am going to call everyone i can, the FCC, BBB, local news stations, WHOEVER WILL LISTEN
