- Wiser replies to bbilly| 15 repliesSolar being sold from FLA? HA! What a joke. We just got back from a 2.5 week trip there and saw virtually NO SOLAR INSTALLATIONS ANYWHERE because GOVERNOR JEB BUSH effectively BLOCKED any and all state funding to jumpstart/subsidize solar there DUE TO HIS FAMILY BEING OIL BARRONS. So, If you 'buy solar from Fla' that's like buying a tropical paradise from Alaska!!!
We got this call just now 3/16/15. We have gotten such a SLEW of these bogus solar/switch your electric carrier calls ever since starting our trip; 16 calls in 19 days from ALL DIFFERENT numbers/states/area codes. I believe that CHOICE HOTELS is SELLING OUR PHONE NUMBER TO TELEMARKETERS; our spam calls increase EXPONENTIALLY every time we make our first hotel reservation with them.
Got these Solar/Reduce Your Electric Rate SCAM calls from:
978-400-2559 "FITCHBURG, MA" (2x)(This is T-MOBILE CELL exchange. What LEGIT business uses cell for this purpose?)
978-965-8961 "LAWRENCE, MA" (2X) ('Next door' to FITCHBURG; both Sh*t-Holes: Welfare, Illegals, Criminals)
978-769-1293 "GEORGETOWN, MA" (A step up from Fitchburg & Lawrence - but Still SCAMMERS!)
458-201-1435 "EUGENE, OR" (2X)(New tactic; try the other side of the country. BUSTED! STILL SCAMMERS)
916-312-2734 "SLOUGHHOUSE, CA" (Same as above.)
669-275-3575 NO NAME
669-236-3665 "CAMPBELL, CA" (4x)
440-721-4682 "PAINESVILLE, OH" (Still SCAMMING.)
573-200-7004 "DELETED" on Caller ID (!)
and now this one:
786-708-4154 "MIAMI, FL"
I guess they just ASSUME we all are going to BLOCK their other numbers and try and preempt that with number switching right off the bat! - Skorpio replies to WiserYour theory about Choice Hotels may be correct but not in my case. I haven't been in a hotel room in 38 years. I am getting the same calls from different numbers in different states every day also and I know exactly how the problem started. My 83 year old mother got duped for $1,000 by one of those "we'll lower the interest rate on your credit cards" SCAMS. THEY gave/sold our information to EVERYBODY! It's been telephone HELL ever since!
- GracieClaimed to be selling solar panels and said that there are currently rebates that will pay for the entire system. We actually had a solar system when we lived in Oregon, and it was paid for almost entirely with rebates, so I thought this might be legit. However, I got to thinking - they were calling on my cell phone, which has an Oregon number. I asked if they thought they were calling Oregon, and he admitted that he did. I said that we don't live in Oregon any longer, and he said they do not have a company where we live now, so our business was finished. I usually don't spend that much time with spam callers, and since all of our numbers have been on the Do Not Call list since the beginning, they had no business calling us in the first place. Not sure why I even gave him the time of day, except I thought for a moment they might be legit. Probably not, though.

- GusCrooks do not abide by Do Not Call List. They are out to steal from idiots, elderly and impaired. You answer the phone and they sell your number as a cash cow to other crooks. You interact and you get more calls from more places. That is their "business" -- and if you have answering machine they think they can not be traced so hang up and not leave a message. However, *69 gives you the number called from. Then you report them to the Feds. It took years for them to catch that massive group of you have been recommended for a free med alert system by a relative or professional provider. Had that call? All crooks and there are numerous copy cats of them on med alerts out there too. When they change the phone number frequently it keeps the feds from catching up with them. Report them every time, they are illegal calls, they are crooks, they will not stop. Privacy is gone. You interact you get more crap like this. PLEASE tell the elderly and impaired do not answer the phone and NEVER give anyone any money or information when they call on their phone.
- bornduringdaylightSCAMMERS! Go ahead now that you have been warned. Please be prepared to give the foreigner your full name, social security number, date of birth, mother's maiden name and primary bank account numbers. Then you can come back here and write how they stole your identity because you were stupid enough to fall for a solar panel scam to save you money.

- GusGot call on March 20 and hung up -- same thing at 1031 am today. Please do not respond to them, they make money off of you thinking you are getting even with them. It only sets up more of these crooks to call more of us nonstop. Report them all the time. Remind impaired and elderly to never answer the call or give them any information. Ever. It is so sad that the elderly get more insecure and then you have to feed them this type of information to confirm they are right about all people being bad. Before you think you are punishing them -- think of the millions or billions they steal from people each year. You feed them with temper tantrum reactions to their obnoxious calls. Be wise!
- Annoyed replies to johnSame here! Someone has to stop these jerks....I am sick of them wasting my time!
- Hot TopThis same number called around 8:20 p.m. and asked for me by my last name. I asked this accented person where he was calling from, he said solar panels. Hardly could hear the guy with no name, so I told him I can't hear him and hung up. Just another unwanted call to waste my time and piss me off for the night. I HATE THESE IDIOTS!!!!!!

- EmmaCalls often never leaves a message. Sometimes late at night.
- ConnieJust keeps calling me. Have blocked.
- MarieGot 3 calls in succession from 3 different numbers/states. We had to buy a call blocker because these calls were getting totally out of hand. Hope they get the message and stop calling!!
- EnufDid not recognize the number so I did not answer. Did not leave a message
- Jeff F.I just got this call, today, 4/14/15. Sometimes, it seems that the same guy is working for many different telemarketing co's by the sound of his voice. I prefer not to ignore the call (and let it go to Verizon voice mail) but rather I'll pick it up and say, "Senior housing." And then about half the time they'll do a "silent" disconnect and shortly thereafter I'll get the disconnect phone signal, beep beep beep, ..., and hang up. The other half the time they'll ask for my name, and I'll say, "This the front desk, and I don't think they're in, I don't know..." Then, I'll either get a silent disconnect or the person will say, "Oh, I'm sorry, I must have the wrong number!" But, these calls never cease; there's always someone else calling. Recently, I sent a big list to the FCC as a complaint and had to fill out a monumental form -- then, after a couple of email follow-ups, the FCC said, "There's nothing we can do" in their final email. The end.

- StingrayJGCalled home number last friday 4/10/2015 at 1:03pm with caller ID showing "V04101302400000" and left no message when ignored. Same number called again with caller ID showing "V04151153100000" at 11:53am today, also left no message when ignored. I have a call blocker and had already wild-card blocked this entire area code from ringing our phone since we've gotten numerous crap calls from it in the past and know no legitimate callers that live in that area code, but I have one "unfiltered" phone line unattached to the call blocker that's connected to the DirecTV receiver so it displays on the tv screen with no ringer, and it stores last 25 calls coming in. That's how I saw these numbers, they didn't interrupt me. Obviously some kind of tele-stalker. Sorry, you ain't gettin' me, ha-ha!

- ALRead in my local town police blotter about such calls. Some people actually complained to the local PD about these calls.
I bet my local moronic white trash cops had plenty of laughs writing these reports. If our Federal Government does not give a flying F*** about them, what to say about local law enforcement? DNC list is the biggest joke in this country!!!!- Caller: Solar
