Looks like I'm not alone! they called 3x today. My family helping research this caller 786-923-0962 Since June 1 x a wk then 3-6x a wk Now! 3-6 calls per day!  no one answers,no one speaks,sometimes hear noises in background for few seconds then they hang up. they never leave a message on my machine. when I tried calling the # back I got a bogus message that # is disconnected. I have  spent numerous hours calling the 555-1212 #,411 info#, my phone co. ; research on web ,library etc with no luck. I'm already on DNC list! they call at all hours, before 8am & after 9pm at night. Which according to U.S. law is illegal. I'm filing a complaint with Fcc ,calling my state attorney and anyone else who can put stop to this nightmare!

Many calls from 786-923-0962 (caller id says "Sunland Propert") are negatively impacting my small business.  The calls appear to be "Abandoned or War Dialing" types.  Please take action and file complaints with the FCC at their website:

Caller is contacting my work phone number; I've gotten maybe 30 calls in the last two weeks.  As a consultant for this company, it's a little more than annoying to get calls from Florida (I'm in Missouri) at all times of the day.

When I pick up, I get a dial tone as if there was never a call and I was just picking up my phone to call someone.  This regardless of how many times I let it ring.  If I let it ring to voicemail, I get a 0 second message.

I also get the disconnected toll free message when calling back.

I'm reporting it to the FCC too.

Called "sd"'s corporate line suggestion: 1-703-547-2000 and asked to speak to abuse and complaints; they immediately want to transfer you to customer care at 1-888-575-6398.  That line is only good for customers of XO though and is a menu system, not a person.

I called back throughly fed up and said I needed to speak to a human or to their legal department and they got me a human in customer care.

They put me in touch with "Joe" who works with a software company - he refused to say which one - that provides a database to hundreds of companies that use the DB to call people, along with this caller ID and number.  That's probably why there's such a variety of calls.

He pulled my name out of the list.  Good luck folks.  :/

I may have had some success with these miscreants. I had been receiving calls, many times per day, for months.  Same story as most others, silence, no message.

So, I began dialing back, and as soon as the male voice began to speak, I would hang up. Using the redial and TALK buttons, I would repeat this for 10 to 15 minutes.  I didn't know if it was having any effect, but it sure made me feel good to imagine that I was tying up that phone line for a while.

Another thing I started was, as soon as caller ID showed that it was Sunland Properties, I would answer and hang up immediately, then dial back and hang up a few times.

About two weeks after I started this, the phone calls ceased. I don't know if my actions had anything to do with it, but I like to think it did.  One thing, the male voice kept saying it was a toll free number.  Maybe I was costing them money when I dialed back.

Same problems as everyone else , I never answer unknown callers but I was feed up when I finally answered today , the number calls 3 or 4 times per day for months , he asked for me by name , I said she's not here  can I take a message?? He says nah it's just Jim, I dont even know anyone by this name...but he did ask is this was such and such address too and I be damned if he didnt have that info too..Needless to say it's just pissing me off to no end, how do they know all my info, crazy freaks!

This number calls me at work most business days, and it has been for months.  I used to answer it, but since no one ever speaks when I do, I have stopped answering.  They occasionally hang on long enough where my voicemail system records 15-30 seconds of background noise, but there is never a voice.  

It is one of maybe 5 numbers that I recognize on sight, and just ignore.

Fortunately, I didn't answer my cell phone and looked it up on the web before calling back.

Well, my earlier cease and desist order apparently had no effect.  I got called again once per day all this week, asking if I want to subscribe to EWeek.  I asked to have my name removed from their list, and repeated the cease and desist request.  I also have half a mind to write to EWeek and protest to their subscriber department.

I never respond to telemarketers: I don't want or need to be sold anything over the telephone. Just one of my pet peeves.

I did some research and found this out. This is a brokerage switching house for many companies who are doing business OUTSIDE of the US telemarketing inside the US. So, even if you ask to be placed on a do no not call list from someone you speak to, there are many other companies that are being routed through this same switch.

I did narrow this down to one company who outsourced the solicitation of Wireless Design Magazine. The Mag passed an internal list to an outside company who is calling from the Bahamas using the Sunland Properties switch.

Why chronic hang ups? I do not know; they just probably have bad equipment on top of that as well.

Hey guys i started recieving calls from these people in march. I didn't answer until june, but when i did there was nothing. I decided to call them back in august completly annoyed.  They asked for my name and I was so  curious i gave it to them. they said they were a collection agency "luki baker and associates" and I owed them money. anyway i asked that the send me something in the mail as required by law and they refused as well as refused to give me an address. They changed numbers recently to 630-689-2847. If anyone knows how to help please tell me. I'm on the national do not call list. It doesn't help. This is almost a year now. There still calling!!!!!!

They buy debt, very OLD debt, for pennies on the dollar, then they come after you any way they can, using any ruse in the book.

Do you actually think a 5, 6, 7 year or older debt is forgiven and/or forgotten? Maybe you forgot about your debt(s), but your creditors didn't.
Your creditor SOLD your debt, for pennies on the dollar, to what we refer to, as a "Gorilla" collector - THEN - your creditor wrote you off.

A woman called on June 19, 2008 at 4:45 p.m. saying it was the "chimney company".  I asked for the name of the company and she mumbled a name.  I said I was on the NJ Do Not Call List and hung up.  She called me back and said she was 17 years old and that I was rude to her.  This telemarketer deserves to be fined!

Sorry kind of off the subject but I noticed that you stated that you bought a prescription from emedsrx.  I was considering buying my pain meds through them but am concerned that its a scam.  Did you have a good experience through this company?
