- Elspeth replies to ANNA POTTER VP COLLECTIONSSpoken like a true shroll (company shill and troll).
- Collections Rep| 6 repliesThis is absolutely unreal. The 800-222-1913 number is not a scam and you can actually locate it on BB&T's website. If it calls you it is only because you owe some sort of debt or they have the wrong number. I understand not wanting to give out personal information over the phone, but what is someone going to do with your address or name? That's public information in all honesty. You can ignore them, but I promise you that the fee's or late bills won't go away. Also, getting an attorney or lawyer is pointless when you have entered into a contract with BB&T that clearly states all consenting parties recognize that potential collection practices may be used in the event that your account goes past due or accumulates unpaid debts. And there's a reason almost every functioning company has a collections department - to collect debts. Associates who work in the branches do not have this sole responsibility and that is why very few to absolutely zero times will they personally call you to inform you that you haven't paid your bill. As hard as the economy is, the world keeps turning and in order for it to turn people/businesses need their money. Talk as much trash as you want about collectors but I work hard, pay my bills, treat every client like a friend, and have a promising future doing what I do. How much can you pay today?
- Mary replies to Collections RepYou are so full of crap. Companies such as the one you work for, buy junk or "zombie" debt. You attempt to collect thousands on debt that may have been as little as 11 cents! Yes, that's what I said, 11 cents. You can read all about this and other "debt collections news at this site: http://abcnews.go.com/topics/news/issues/debt-collection.htm.
And if you'd really like to be proud of yourself go to this site and read about the man who set himself on fire because he was hounded by debt collectors for debt he couldn't pay after loosing his job.

As for your "promising career" perhaps you should think about an education. Oh, wait, you'd have to borrow some money for tuition. If you, like 66% of college graduates can't find a job after you graduate, you can get hounded by the next generation of debt collectors. You're right. You have a promising career. Round and round we go. - Mary replies to Collections RepGet a clue. A "company" that doesn't give its name...just a phone number...doesn't send requests for payment through the mail along with legal documents to prove the debt...has idiots like you who troll sites such as this in an attempt to paint yourself in a better light...you can't be that stupid. I stand corrected...you are that stupid.
- Gallus replies to Collections RepSpoken like a true shill.
- Tamianth replies to Collections RepSo let me get this straight, googling BB&T comes up that it is a bank.. Is this correct? Are they also then licensed then for debt collections?
- ShillKill replies to Collections RepYet another wonderful spokesperson for this company. Granted there is some decent advice for consumers here (e.g., warning about late fees accumulating), it is the overall tone of the post that is troubling.
My favorite "How much can you pay today?" --- must be bad when you have to practice your "talk offs" on line.
Oh, and to answer you question regarding how much I can pay today --- plenty! Catch is, I'm sorry to inform you, not everyone in these threads here "owes" you. - Kay replies to BBT Employee| 1 replyGuess what... I don't even have an account with BBT. I had to google the name to figure out its a bank. And yet I received a call. Hmmm and we are the idiots? Please don't reproduce scumbag.
- anon replies to ANNA POTTERDo us a favor and don't shill here, you deadbeat.
- Kay replies to ANNA POTTERYou are the lowest of the low Anna. I hope you can live without a soul.
- Kay replies to who caresReally? Never heard of this bank! But they call me all the time. They don't even have any correct information just my first and last name. So don't just assume that everyone who receives a call from BBT is doing so because they owe a debt.
- Kay replies to HaroldTroll
- Kay replies to ANNA POTTER VP COLLECTIONSHey Anna... What bill???? I've never heard of your bank. You are a troll. Lower than pond scum. Please do not ever reproduce.
- Kay replies to Collections RepTroll
- Tim replies to KayThank you for posting your message. I have been receiving these calls daily.
Of course I never give them any information. I just hang up.
I am a customer at the bank and I bank online. I know for a fact that I am up to date on everything. Since banks will always send you professionally printed notices of any past due accounts, I figure this has got to be a scam. It's unfortunate that con artists have become so good at what they do that savvy people are forced to trust no one. - Sheila replies to BBT EmployeeSomeone with this attitude should NOT work in collections... I have been getting calls from BB&T.. yes, because a car payment is past due... but, my husband ran off with his girlfriend to another state and wiped our bank account in the process. In the divorce, he is supposed to make the payments on the car... He never pays on time. The loan is NOT in both our names and we ARE divorced.. I keep giving them his number... yet they still keep calling me at LEAST 5 times a day every time he is late..
- Unknown replies to BBT EmployeeI am sure BB and T would appreciate their employees referring to their customers as idiots. Wonder how you would fare on unemployment? Bet you would be receiving some collection calls. Perhaps you are working in the correct field as a collections agent as you are rude, obviously no training was needed for you. Would love to know your real name as I would report you in an instant. I have copied your response here and may just send it in to BB and T and perhaps let them handle the "brainless" idiot who wrote it!
- DJIf this is really BB&T then why does caller id come up with unavailable. I do not answer phone numbers that do not have a legit name in caller id.
- bobjust call a robo call from this number. recording tells me to hold for an important message. then CLICK! they friggin hang up on me!! just like the rest of the BS telemarketers!
- Caller: no caller id
- Crystal replies to BBT EmployeeYou are a jerk. There are people that have run into trouble paying their bills thru no fault of their own...so putting EVERYONE that is late into the category of deadbeats is pretty offensive. Show a little mercy jerk.
