    I work for Wells Fargo and this number was given to a customer and after researching it myself and calling the number I did find it was valid and the answering party on the number was able to verify an internal security question. The experience my customer had with them when calling was odd though and I recommend that anytime a customer doesn't feel comfortable with a person on the phone to end the call and do their own research.

    I seriously doubt you are an employee and if you are, then perhaps stick to your job description and stop trying to reassure people about this number's legitimacy, since after 5 pages of reports, it is redundant. Besides, a "real employee" would have provided more information about the "purpose" of this number or at least what department it is from, if it was in fact legitimate.

    Scammers can spoof any number, pretend to be from a bank and you can never be sure who is calling, unless you are expecting a call from them. If so, then you wouldn't have any need to come look up the number, so thanks for nothing.
    Never trust a caller to be whom they claim, always call from a published, well known number such as from a Bank Statement, their website or the back of your card.

    If you were a real employee you would have used your real name and ID number.  Also, a real employee would not have said

     They would have said end the call and then call the bank at a known, published phone number.  But hey, thanks for confirming that calls from this number should never be trusted and that you are one of the lying scumbags stealing money from people using this phone number.

    Ain't buying that. I started getting these calls over 20 years after I fired WFB. Never had more than checking acct. Calls are roboscam.

    If you’re so certain it’s Wells Fargo, why do they call 10 times a day but there’s never anyone on the line when I answer. If it is Wells Fargo, typical terrible business practices. Any way, you lose.

    If it is so called wells fargo then why is it a robo call instead of a real person, or leave a message stating they are wells fargo and need to talk or ask a question regarding account!

    Caller ID on my cell phone claims it is Wells Fargo. Twice in less than 2 weeks they have called and not left a voicemail. I do not bank with Wells Fargo and haven't in over 20 years, on top of this phone number being a new one for me, just a little over a year now. This seems very scammy to me. If you legitimately have a Wells Fargo account, just call your local branch.
