keep getting calls from this number every now and then.

I happened to be home today when this number called so I answered.  They asked for me and then asked to verify that they were speaking to the correct person by checking the last 4 digits of a SSN.  When I told them that the SSN wasn't mine, the response was "we have the wrong person.  Thank you for verifying that and we will remove your number from our list."  It is a collection company calling for someone with my name - I've found that if I answer and let them know that they have the wrong person the calls stop.

This number keeps calling me (like 4 times a day).  I have only had this number for one week.  No one even has my new number.

Frequent calls from 800-258-8074, sometimes several per day; no one answers.

I continue to get calls on my cell phone from this 800-258-8074 number.  They are always asking for someone named Margaret, I tell them I'm not Margaret, to take my number off the list (I've had this cell phone number since FOREVER).  They always agree but it never happens so don't hold your breath waiting for that to happen.  One time I answered and asked them who they wanted to speak with ( I already knew) and they kept saying "Who am I speaking to?"  I finally told them my first name only.  That didn't work either.  They still call!

Called our office again, asking for someone who doesn't/never has worked here.  AFTER being told yet again that there was no one here by that name, THEN I got the fast talk (obviously reading from a script) about the call being recorded and that they would remove our number from their records.  Since this has been going on periodicially for over a year, I doubt it.

This number calls me several times a day every day but never leaves messages.  I refuse to call unknown numbers who don't identify themselves.   What a pain!

This is a scam They say they are collection agency,but it is a scam .  They scam a lot of people .I have heard of people making payments to them as they thought it was a agency collecting for money they owed.  They do not collect money for anyone.  They are a scam. I do not anwer. I just delete the call.

got a recording call from 8002588074, it said to collect a debt, which is not for me, at 7:10 am, how can I stop this?

They left a message that they were a debt collection company and needed to speak with someone at this number.  When I called them back and gave them my phone number the woman said that they did not have my number in their bank.  I explained that this had happened before that another person's calls kept getting forwarded to our number.  She asked me for the number and I said I didn't know the number but I remembered their name.  She said she needed the number, I offered to look it up in the phone book, there were two different listings for the same name, I didn't remember which one it was so I gave her the first one and she said that wasn't it, I said there was a second listing and she accused me of just pulling numbers out of the phone book.  I asked her why would I do that and she started yelling at me, I yelled back and hung up on her.

I have also recieved calls from this number which I never answer. I did run without my glasses yesterday and could not see who was calling without the glasses. It was the middle of a recording about a debt.  I do not have any unpaid bills so I know it could not be me but my son, who passed away in March 2010 may have left some so I called the number back to only get a recording that I had reached them after hours. I did a reverse number look up and found they were Allied Interstate. I do not plan to talk to them as I know nothing about any debts my son may have left and do not want to open a new can of worms. I wish there was some way to stop this harrassment. I looked at my Comcast calls list and they have called numerous times over the past few months

Keep getting nuisance calls from this number...I want it to STOP.
It rang back when  I answered it today and a woman answered "Hello?" and I said "What do you want, you called me" she hung up.
These calls come 2 - 6 times daily 7 days a week. This is harassment!

This call came in at 9:25PM.  So I did the one thing I could and reported the call to the FTC.  Hopefully, if enough people complain to the FTC, they'll be able to do something about it.

I get at least one call a day from this number. I never answer it, and no one ever leaves a message. I don't have any debts, and have no idea why a debt collection service would call me, unless they were looking for someone else. These calls are totally annoying, though. I'm tempted to answer.....?

Answer the phone as "Sheriff's Department"....... They will pause, ask to speak to someone..... tell them they have reached the local Sheriff's Department and tell them to remove this number. Most times that works.

Called at 6:27 am. I usually never answer 1-800 numbers, or any number that I don't know, but I didn't want them to wake up my son. It was a poorly recorded message with a female voice emphasizing that they were a debt collection company requesting me? to call them back about a debt.

Keep getting the same calls as described above.  How can I get them to stop?

We have gotten a call from this same # for 3 days in a row, I tried to call them back but the recording said it was past there hours of business.  We have no debt, it is very irritating, I do plan to report this to the state attorney general of OR.

These people are harrassing me! They left a message re: a debt! I have no debts!

These keep calling. Called two nights ago at 9:00, also a scammer from Vegas with "You have won $990,000, go get me 1% ready when we come by for your taxes on check.  Very scarey...loaded up rifle just in case they come down my driveway :)
