Debt collector...keeps calling with message...no one at this number is in debt...I'm on a no call list but the calls continue

For the last 4 days have received message from this number to collect a debt. Don't have a debt and when I returned call just got canned music. No info.

After way too many calls from these people, I finally answered. I said, "I don't have any outstanding debts, and you need to stop calling me." They promised to take me off the list. Once you tell someone they are not allowed to call you -- they are not legally allowed to call you anymore! Of course, they keep calling anyway.....

It is April of 2012 and I am also getting phone calls from this number with ID of "Allied Collections" but the two firms with this name identifiable from google deny my phone is on their list.  I get calls every day.  They cannot be answered, they are just a "debt collection" announcement.  I owe no debts.  The return 800 number does not pick up.   I am notifying the FTC, but this is very annoying.  I am a consumer law professor and these folks are violating the Fair Debt Collections Act ... clearly.

This number has called our phone about 20 times in the past few weeks. It is so annoying! It is always an automated voice saying that we need to call them right away about a debt and they never use any names.

I am getting several (recorded) calls a day from Allied Interstate saying they are contacting me to collect a debt. Well, I have *NO* debts with them or anyone else and I am really getting annoyed.

My guess is that they are calling for my son, but he has not lived with us for 5-6 years and we only occasionally hear from him. I am trying get in touch with him to have him call them and stop these annoying calls to my home. In the meantime, this has become an incredible nuisance.

I actually got an answer when I called back.  They said they were looking for someone I had never heard of and that they will take my number off of the list.  We'll see.

This company is calling me once or twice daily. I added a call blocking service from my provider but it does not work. I am still getting calls. Any ideas on how to stop them?

this number calls me also several times a day leaves no message when i answer its the the same story as the rest of you. A recording. Can't get ahold of everyone.  just hit the ignore button

Keep receiving these calls, dead silence on voice mail. Call us 3-4 times a day. No recording no information. We have no idea who this is. Apparently not too important if no message has been left!

I keep getting unwanted phone calls from this number. How do I get them to stop harrassing me? When I try to pick up the call, nobody is there. I want this nonsense to stop NOW.

Keep getting calls from 800-258-8074 on my cell phone.  I do not put up 800 numbers. Please make them stop

They call everyday. I don't have any debt. I don't want to answer because it will likely make the problem worse.

These people have called RELENTLESSLY!!  Asking for someone named John, who is no one who lives here. I finally changed my number, and guess what? I was sooo furious. I yelled at the person to stop calling, this is the wrong number, and take me off their list.  Stupid bit** says  "We don't  have a list, M'AM"...

I doubt if they stop calling.

I too get calls from 800-258-8074, three of them yesterday alone.  Thank you all for your input as I now know what it’s all about.  Perhaps what I do will help some of you.  First go to https://donotcall.gov and register your phone numbers, land line and cells.  Takes about 30 days to process. And you can register complaints as well.  Second, I only have a cell phone and all incoming calls from people in my phones data base will display who is calling.  All others it displays the incoming number. If it is an 800 or out of state number I do not recognize I simply hit the ignore or silent button, depending on wither I want to give them the opportunity to leave a message.  I figure if they need to talk to me bad enough they will leave a message about why they are calling and how to contact them.

got the same message as the rest of us.  To the Enforcer is that there real address and info, cause I would love to send them a certified letter from my wife's law office, demanding that they pay me for wasting my time and energy to answer the phone $10, internet research $65, posting comment $20, placing them into collections priceless.

I keep recieving these calls daily and can not hear the message they leave.  I am on a do not call list so I need these calls to stop.
