Called and said Comcast service is not working and for me to immediately get to my computer.  I said impossible now but I can later and call you back.  Guy said his phone no. is 320-400-0331.  My TV, PHONE and NET were working fine so no way was I going to give him whatever he wanted.  QUESTIONABLE IF it's comcast even calling.  Name could have been spoofed on caller ID

A woman with heavy Chinese accent left voicemail on my unpublished cell phone saying I have to call them back concerning an open ticket on my account they want to discuss.  That’s weird, I NEVER use my cell phone number for any accounts or vendors.  Only my home number.  Perhaps someone wants to steal my identity.  Be careful folks!

Called to tell me that their main server is going to go down and we will lose internet for 15 days  and could I get in front of my computer told them that I can not get in front of the computer at this time. He told me in a India accent that oh well if the Internet goes down to call us ( if he was Comcast he would of known my home phone is Comcast. )

Some guy in an overseas "boiler room" just called (7/17/20 around 3 PM.)  I couldn't understand half of what he was saying because the line was so bad. After about 30 seconds of trying to decipher his speech, I just wished him a good day and hung up.

called on cell phone, caller id said Comcast.  I answered, stupidly.  This foreign sounding person with a whole lot of others talking in the background. said he was from Comcast about our account.  I asked him how he even had this number for me.  Comcast does not have not need my cell phone number.  He hung up SCAM

This number was not Comcast at all. Someone from either Asia or India. I couldn’t understand a word she said. Basically said there were towers in my area and that third parties were trying to gain access to my internet. She said it will work for a while then stop working altigether(lie as it’s been working fine). She asked if I was from a certain city. I said no and she hung up-so I knew it was a scam! I’m just wondering if she wanted access to my computer or money or both?!

I don't know why people are saying this is comcast.  Yes the caller ID says comcast, but it is 100% a scam.  They tell you something is not working on your computer and that they want you to enter a command so they can take a look at it.  First of all I do not have comast, and they would NEVER call people to tell them something with their computer is not working.  THAT IS A LIE.  They are very persistent in demanding that there is something wrong with your computer, so I finally confronted him as being a scammer.  I went on about how he is a liar trying to get people's information and financial information.  DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, THEY ARE LIARS, HANG UP THE PHONE, DO NOT DO WHAT THEY ASK, NEVER GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  THEN CALL COMCAST AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE SCAM.

I think it's a scammer spoofing the Comcast phone number. Kind of like those fake bank account emails. They figure that enough of the random folks that they call will actually have Comcast accounts (and therefore answer the phone) to make this worth their while. Throw enough poop against the wall and some if it will stick...
