Received notification from my call filtering app that a call from this number was blocked. Checked here and see that it is First National Bank. I don’t have any card issued by them, so I’m my case it is a scam. The other folks instructing others to always call the phone number on the back of their cards is solid advice.

I got a call from this number and it was legit.  I called the number on the back of my card and verified the 800 number.

Then why did you look up the phone number? Do you often look up known phone numbers?

Called twice - back to back.  Left message about fraud alert and a reference number.  I do not have any accounts or credit cards for First National Bank.  EARLIER TODAY HAD SAME TYPE OF CALLS (again x2) FROM ALTERNATE NUMBER SAYING FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF OMAHA - never heard of them!

Yes, it was legit. But I called the number on the back of my card to verify.  It Was from First Bank.  It was to verify an online purchase from a small company the day prior, which was legit.

Bank numbers get spoofed by scammers impersonating them all the time, so the only thing that makes sense is to call the number on the back of your card to ensure you are not talking to a scammer. Is your "legit" story supposed to help reassure anyone who gets one of those spoofed calls?

I called number on my bank card instead of calling their number and was told no unusual activity on my card I got 2 more calls and they call at wired times so I’ve blocked them

I did not call back as I never trust these calls

It's amazing how many people look up known phone numbers to assure others this is "a legitimate call". Then again, that is typical of shills.

Yes it's the actual number for the bank.. I called the bank back directly with the number on the back of the card and was directed to the fraud department.
