Of course I always run to the internet after getting a phone call from someone I know and tell everyone about it.  Sounds more like you are trying to convince people to hand over their information to you so that you can scam them.

Keep in mind, even IF it is the legitimate company for this number, it doesn't mean scammers won't spoof it to trick victims into givng up personal information.

Every day for over a month I have received a call from this number.  I do not answer their calls but a female leaves a voice message that I can only understand concerns Discover card. It sounds like she is speaking some Spanish. This is unsolicited and I do not have a Discover card.

It is not discover!!! my first clue was all the woman said was her name. She didn't say she was with discover. So I hung up and Googled it.. When you call the number back it sounds legit. But when I called the actual number on the back of my card The discover rep said it was absolutely not them. They log their calls and my account is fine. Don't give out your info!

They left a message.  It was Discover card.

Caller ID was "Toll Free Call" but this IS Discover Card. It's not a fraud. They called me to discuss fraud charges (of which I was aware), and I spent a bit of time talking to several departments. They did not ask for any personal information as everything they needed was right in front of them.

Claim to be Discover with some new 'exciting offers' for someone other than me... I don't own a Discover card.

Scam! 100% scam, do NOT call them back. ALWAYS call the number on your card. Claimed to be Discover, asked me to call them back at 800-762-3051. They'll transfer you to different "departments" to get more and more info, then they'll try to get your bank account info to set you up for an "automatic bill pay". DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!

Discover Card People. Calls almost everyday from 8am on. Harrases me calling at all different times of day with different people each time talking about "An important Business Matter"

Called a business - asked for someone I've never heard of.

It was from Discover Fraud Alert. I had a couple purchases that wouldn't to through. Just had fraud charges on the account and got a new card. Discover has blocked the card a few times and verified with me that they were legitimate charges. None of the Call Types fit a legitimate call.

No one is obligated to make a selection in the "Call type" button's drop-down menu.

I believe this is actually Discover Fraud Division.  I called them back on their regular number and they verified that they had called on the 800-347-0350.  However, if you didn't answer this call, call them on THEIR REGULAR NUMBER for the purpose of verifying your identity.

This number just called me with an automated message that said: We have something very important they needed to tell me and it was urgent that I return the call. After reading the other comments, this has to be a scam as I do not have Discover card.

The number called my cell. It was a real person, saying they were with Discover.
Turns out it was real. Somebody in my family had paused their card and not reactivated it. Not saying scammers could not forge this number but the call I received was really from Discover.

I did call number on back of card and it was a fraud call.  Don't think I am an idiot.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT ANSWER! I got this guy who had called me many times each time from a different number, left the message saying he's from Discover card and wanted to talk to me and assured me it is not a soliciting call. I got suspicious and finally call the number in the back of my Discover card. After talking with the REAL Discover rep she said that there is an ongoing scam people impersonating Discover card staff and trying to phish out personal info. So ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TALK TO THEM. if u ever get curious call yourself the number on the back of your actual credit card and find out yourself.

I received a call, and I know it was Discover. I made a purchase online the other night and put in the wrong expiration date. Received a text to confirm the activity, but forgot to respond.

However, scammers can spoof numbers to appear as anything, so always return the call by calling the number on the back of your card. If you do not have a Discover card, then ignore the call!

This IS the real thing in my case, not a scam. It is Discover credit card fraud department. I scheduled a balance transfer on-line a few days ago, and they called to verify if it was legit. But you should know that right because you are not an idiot like the rest of us.

This IS Discover Card. It is the fraud prevention/protection department. I had had a fraud attempt 2 days earlier on my account. They were calling to follow up and close out the case.
