Got a call to try to complete my number change to their service. NO WAY. Spent several hours yesterday with T-Mobile support as some tried to get into my account. I got a text that my PIN was changed so I called them, as I did I got a call from T-Mobile - the tech was calling 'me' back as the service call was dropped. Figured out someone spoofed my number, called T-mobile to get access, so they could port my number  to another phone. All those two-step verification's on my accounts call back to that number. Identity theft in the making.....
After this call, I contacted T-Mobile and had a "porting block" on both our numbers. Unless they have a call from me and my verification pin.
As I am typing this tract service called me again......

Late yesterday afternoon we received TWO messages from this number 800-353-1842.  The caller ID said "Cell Provider".  We ignored the calls.  They left messages.  The first message was a man's voice saying they had received our order to transfer our phone number.  The number referenced was our landline.  We did not "order" any kind of a transfer of this line.  We ignored the message, suspecting it was a scam.  The second message about three hours later was left by a woman with an Asian accent, saying our number had been transferred and not to worry if our phone didn't work, but to just turn it off then on again and it would work.  Again, we ignored the as a scam.  Today our landline did not work.  We contacted our landline provider and they were able to get our number back.  Note:  both of the messages left told us to call 800-806-1840.  THAT number was a number offering us a medic alert system.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

There are a few posts in this thread with similar themes of "they made a mistake and straightened it out", and that is odd, seems shilly to me. Add in that there are a good number of pure Shill Posts in this thread.  Also odd that Straight Talk, TracPhone, Verizon and T-Mobile are all mentioned. I would be very careful about calls from this number, the number might be spoofed or might just be linked to a pure billing scam.

A robocall from UN-known - at&t rewards scam - A search shows this number to be a toll free number. They keep calling using a different new number after being told to remove my number from their call list and blocked.

Still posting the same worthless nonsense for a simple missed call you have no clue about like every post you make.

Keep getting calls from this number. Figured it was a scammer but wanted to check. My fiancee and her son recently moved off of StraightTalk to Mint Mobile. After reading the pages on here I figure they are trying to win back their service after my fiancee left a particularly unflattering message on the FCC website regarding Straighttalk's absolute garbage Number Porting experience. I blocked it as I have no interest in what they have to say on the matter. Straighttalk Service, customer service, and Cellphone experience are all garbage.

While I was dialing Verizon total and or Verizon wireless it connected me to this 800 this 1-800-353-1842 I'm not sure if this is really total Verizon or a scam person who set up my phone had me text my own self just seemed kind of fishy because it showed total wireless but it called supposedly straight talk which I am not straight talk I'm total wireless which is total Verizon

They just called me 6times in a row back to back. When I finally answered he said he was with straight talk and asked if I was the same person he was just talking to. I said I don't have straight talk and no in my house does. I'm not sure why you literally just called 6 times in a 2 minute period and he hung up on me.

Scam sight from wally world and never was able to get internet on my cell phone that was purchased from wally world.Totally azz hole when you contact the cell phone company in iran.

Received call from 800-353-1842 claiming to be from Straight Talk. Heavy accent Indian woman insisted on 'verifying' my account details. This is a known illegal phone number porting scam. Do NOT provide any personal information. Hang up immediately and report to FCC or Straight Talk.

Rang me SIX times.  I think this may possibly have to do with Safe Link Wireless, but I am unsure.
