I also got hit with two 9.99 charges (I have a family plan and two grandsons with cell phones on it). They said they don't know how it happened, but regardless, by PredictoMobile's on terms of service, the boys who are under the age requirement, didn't have my consent, or their parents consent. When I called I was told they would stop the service but not give a refund. I strongly persisted and asked to speak to a manager. She said same thing but took my info and said she would pass my comment on to the corporate office and they'd get back to me. Never did so I called again. Was told SAME thing and I explained I would report them to Attorney General of NJ/Consumer Affairs, etc. She said I would get a call within 24 hours and actually had the nerve to ask me if they could call my cell phone number. WTF are they smoking? So I did file a lengthy complaint. Please do the same: http://www.state.nj.us/lps/ca/comp.htm

Try calling your cell phone company and see if they can help u stop the calls. I called Sprint and ask them about them. They told me to reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to stop the fees, and I had them block all texts that charge on my phones.  See if this helps you out.

    Good Luck

Shows as Text Message 654654.  This is a racket!  They get your cell phone # and claim that you verified this subscription over the Internet but will not give you the IP address from where the subscription approval originated. Cell phone provider gave me the 800 number.  Block premium text messaging and tell your cell phone provider to refund you the data charge! I filed complaint with FCC for what it's worth.  This type of billing should never be allowed!

She is a single mother with a prepaid phone that is used for emergencies.
She had $12.00 credit on her phone, but when she picked it up to make a Doctor appointment for the baby she discovered Predicto.com had taken $9.99 for some kind of a game. She called the company to find out what it was about and to try to get a refund, she was left on hold for more then 5 minutes. Like everyone else, she did not request or accept the charges in any way shape or form. Her phone company, Virgin Mobile gave her one free minute but refused to reverse the charges. The company has not only stolen $9.99 from her they have also put her and her son's lives in danger because she does not have the money to recharge her phone. There
was a 5.4 earthquake centered about 10 miles from our house this morning, fortunately there were no injuries, but there could have been. This is no longer about the $9.99, it is about child endangerment.

Complaints will be filed with the STATE OF NEW JERSEY, THE CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSIONS, and THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION against both predictomobile.com L.L.C. and Virgin Mobile........

I have been on the phone screaming at these people for the last hour!  I plan to scream at Cingular tomorrow.  The day that Predicto says I signed up for their service - I was in the hospital !!!!!  My cell phone was turned off all day!!!!  Furthermore, my cell phone records do not show any outgoing text messages, so it is clear that I did not reply to them!

This is a total scam.  What can we do?

First, report them to your cellular phone serive so they can not be paid.

Second, report them to your State Attorney Generals Office, Consumer Protection Division.

I also was charged $9.99 for this unwanted service.  I called Alltel to cancel and ask what it was.  They told me that by simply opening a text message it subscribes you to their service. Alltel said they'd send predictomobile an email requesting we be removed.  Alltel also said to text the 6546545 number and type in STOP.  This was done with a message received that the subscription was cancelled.  Ok.  Jump ahead to today (one month).  My Alltel bill came and low and behold there's that $9.99 charge.  I called Alltel and told the lady I wasn't going to pay it since I never signed an agreement and don't want the service and it had been cancelled.  She informed me it's a third party billing and if I don't pay it, my account will be arrears.  She also informed me that in order to sign up for this service you do it online.  I called her on that one!  She gave me predictomobile 800 number.  She said she'd send them another email asking them to cancell out number.  We text the 654654 number again with the words STOP to which they replied that we are no longer subscribers since our subscription had previously been cancelled. Currently I'm waiting for our Alltel sales rep to call me to see if she can straighten it out for us.  It's wrong a company can just charge you without your consent!

I also had this charge on my Sprint Cell Phone bill. I had no idea where it came from and I disputed the charges with Sprint and predicttomobile. Low and behold,  after reviewing my account with my girlfriend, I found out that the application called Mobsters on Myspace has a thing where you can earn "mobster credits" if you do a favor for your mob boss. One such favor involved a cell phone pin code that had to be entered on the site. From what the predict to phone rep said above, this sounds like what happened. SO, IN OTHER WORDS, WATCH OUT FOR THE MOBSTERS APPLICATION ON MYSPACE, IT IS MAKING PREDICT TO PHONE A LOT OF $9.99 CHARGES!!! do not ever enter a PIN code on any site!!!
