I started getting calls on or about Friday, August 10th (I believe it was much earlier).  Called once or twice a day, would hang up with I'd answer.  Received a call 8/14 in the morning -- even though I wasn't sure if there was someone on the other end of the line I explained that I had not done anything with cars nor furniture (both have been mentioned on this list) and to please not call again.  Right around 7 pm on the same day (8/14) I received a call and the person actually talked to me.  He was calling on behalf of Earnheart Toyota (local LARGE set of dealerships in the Phoenix area), disguising the call as a "survey" but then went on to say that the dealership was getting a lot of requests for cars of my vintage (2002 Solara) and that they'd be willing to pay above market in trade).  I asked if he was part of DME (mentioned on this list), and that didn't seem to ring any bells.  I asked if he was in Utah, and he replied that no, he was in Florida.  I asked to be remove from their list, and he said he'd put me on the "do not call" list, which would take 24 hours (but then he said it might take up to 30 days officially to be removed).  I didn't have the presence of mind to follow thru and ask for supervisor, his company name etc.

It disgusts me that this thinly veiled telemarketing call is being presented as a survey.  

Earnheart Toyota has just permanently lost a customer, and I'm going to see what kind of havoc I can wreak with BBB and with the main Phoenix newspaper and possibly other media outlets against them for employing these inexcusable and underhanded tactics.

This number keeps calling me for the last week.  I answer and nobody response.   If I don't answer and it goes to my answering machine, they don't leave a msg.

received 13 hangups in 4 days.called the number and got "customer interaction agency".  they are representing a car dealership, Earnhardt Toyota and wanted to sell me a car.  told them i wasn't interested for five years.  now, will they leave me alone?

Several days ago I received a call from this number.  The man on the other end of the line did not give his name, said he was sorry, and that it was a wrong number.  Since then I have gotten the same frustrating hang-up calls that seem to be plaguing everyone on this list.  When I called the company, a woman named Karen answered, confirmed my information, and said they were calling on behalf of Crown Dodge in North Carolina.  I told her that regardless of the reason for the calls, the point was moot, since I have recently moved to the West Coast, and just haven't changed my cell number yet.  She said she would update my record to reflect this.  We'll see if it works.  I'd still like to know though, what was up with Wrong Number Guy.

i got a call at 11:34am on aug 18 from 800-364-4092....i did not answer and no message was left...it must be a scam

They called at least three times today trying to give me mortgage information.  I said no and they are still calling.

I didn't answer but called the number back. They were trying to reach a previous owner of our phone number. They answered the phone with something about consumer something Pontiac. I told them I was the wrong person and they said they would add me to their do not call list.
I am already on THE do not call list.

Been receiving calls on my cell phone twice a day for the last 10 days from this number - 800-364-4092.  Nothing when try to answer. Very aggrivating.

Called every other day for three weeks by that number. Silence on the line when answered. No voicemails. Called back couldnt get anything until today, they asked if the phone number I was calling from was the number from which they called me. Asked for my last name, I said no, I wanted my number removed from their list and that I was annoyed by the calls. The operator said she would go ahead and put it through so it should take 12 to 24 hours to take effect, but that legally they could keep it in there for thirty days.

Put yourself in our shoes and realize that these hang up calls are costing us money on our cell phones. And costing us money to call you guys back when you don't answer, and then again when you finally answer... and then you try to sell us something after we're already upset about spending money on ZERO. You can be yelled at. You are getting paid for this. We are paying money for something that we don't want to happen. If you get no response after 21 calls, maybe you should take a hint and take the numbers out of the computer. You are an a**hole for insinuating that we are not validated in being upset. Everyone has to make money. If you don't like being yelled at, FIND ANOTHER JOB.

I get two to three calls from this number everyday... very annoying. I havent even been to a car dealer as others have. FRUSTRATING!!!

I used to get upset when I got these type of phone calls, but now I just see it as a game. I'll sometimes answer the phone and talk in jibberish (I just invent a language), or I'll put the phone down and have an imaginary argument with my kids or spouse, or ask the person to hold for a second while I answer the door and never return. I just love coming up with new things to try. I sometimes even hope for a telemarketer to call!

This is a marketing firm that does telephone marketing on behalf of several different companies, Chrysler included.  I received a call from them to see about trading my Jeep in for a new vehicle where I bought it from.
