- NinaThese people claim to be Citibank. They will have your last payment amount and date but they are not affiliated with city. I called the number on the back of my card and spoke with a representative and was informed that this number is in no way affiliated with Citibank and they did not have any record of any calls being placed to my phone from them at the dates and times that I was called by these people. Citibank placed a note in my account saying that this number had called me saying they were trying to get a payment from me. Because of the account type that I have with Citibank I do not have late fees for any penalties for paying after the due date. That's why it raised my suspicions when I receive the phone call. Also the gentleman on the line who originally called me said good morning at 1 o'clock in the afternoon my time. The actual representative from Citibank warned me not to give these callers any information whatsoever and to just hang up on them should they call me again or to block their number completely.

- David replies to JeffIt is most definitely their number—I just called it. They keep calling me to go through the hoops to make sure some fraudulent activity is not going on with my account.
Granted, it's a pain in the a•• but it's definitely Citi and I called the other number on the back of my card to verify this. - Nick replies to WillyCitibank has called me 2-3 times per day for over a week.
The pre-recorded message told me to log into my account online or call their number.
I finally got fed up and called.
First the bot asks to enter my card number.
Oh hell no.
I kept pressing zero 0 until I got to a person.
Sounded like she was from India.
She needs my card number. I said No
She asked for my name.
I said You tell me! What's on your computer screen?
She goes on to tell me that if I won't give my name, they would need the last 4 of my social.
I told her No
I will give you my last name so you people will Stop calling me!!! My account is not past due, I am in excellent standing so, This call to show me how much you appreciate my business, is bull.
You called Me, I'm not telling you guys a damn thing. Take me off your call sheet Now! - NoWe set our clocks by these jerks. Every morning for months they call; then in the afternoon, then in the evening. Sometimes they call as late as 10 pm. Sometimes they slip the afternoon calls to an hour later to fool you, or whatever. Thanks to these sites, I'm blocking them. Use to unplug the phone, but missed a job interview call-back. Maybe we can have some peace and quiet......and a nap.

- RichardNever give any information to an incoming call.
This is a legit number, but that doesn't mean that when someone calls you that the number isn't being spoofed! So, really, there is no way to know who is on the other end.
The best course of action is to hear out what they have to say, but never confirm or deny anything to them. Never agree to anything.
If they want money from you, tell them that you do not have access to the payment information (such as bank routing numbers) at the present time, but that you will call them later.
At that point, you call the number on the back of your card. If they say the same information, pay your bill!
Never. Ever. Never ever ever. Give any information to an incoming call. - missyI have told these jerks to stop calling..today I told them to F OFF... yes I did...had it

- SteveReceived a phone call that a credit card I have is past due over $3,000.00. They knew my name and what type of card it was. They wanted to take a check over the phone. Knew is was a scam in that I had received my statement the day before and it showed less than a 20.00 balance. Told him I would call the number on the card and he hung up.
