Almost all of the new Panasonic phones offer call blocking - built right into the phone.  There is a limited number, depending on what model you buy.  The phone rings once (that's the time delay all call display names and numbers take to show up) and then blocks it. It still shows up on your call display with a blacked out X beside it.  You can remove it from being blocked at any time.

Damn PC. One easy way to avoid that is never answer a strange number if it doesn't leave you a message. This means you wont get on their live list.

This number is calling me twice a day and driving me crazy.. Of course I never answer and there is never a message left.

This message has been calling me every day for the past 2 weeks. If you call then number back you have an option to remove your number. Make sure you stay on to correct the number because it starts with a random number.

Rogers wireless seems to be the underlying source... Either someone is printing lists or selling them.

gemma commuications calling on behalf of pc mastercard.  some sort of promotion that i would be very pleased to hear about.  a couple weeks agao i made the mistake of answering the phone i had in my pocket when i was up on a ladder hanging christmas lights on the front of my house. (yeah yeah, i know.  but i keep it handy in case my son's mother needs to reach me)
anyway, they have been calling daily for a couple of weeks and at varied times. ranging from 8am to almost 10pm
i finally called back to 800.391.9462.  pressed 1 for english, pressed 1 to have my number removed, and pressed 1 again to confirm that was my number the system read back to me.  apparently it will be removed within 24 hrs.  we'll see.  but it was easy.

I had the same problem. just call them back, press 1 for english, and 1 again to have your number removed. i just did it, they've been calling me for like 2 weeks now. but make sure you stay on the line, or they'll give you a random number that's not yours to remove, just press 2 and then enter your own number.

I just received a call from 800-391-9462, as soon as I picked up the phone, it hung up, to my curiosity, I called back and without any sort of introduction or greeting, a computer voice said, "For English, press1", "Pour Francais, appuyez sur le 2", I hung up.

I suspect that this might be a new phone scam technique, they know that these days, most people have call display and they are challenging people's curiosity by calling people's numbers and then hang up. People then, if have call display, will be at a good chance to call back to the number just to find out the source that the call came from, then if people initiate 1 for English or 2 for French, that's all they need, you have just initiated an action and perhaps, an authorization of some thing.

I think this type of scam technique initiates 2 actions, action 1 is to randomly call any number within a same area code, if someone picks up the phone, the number is legit, then action 2 is if the person calls back and initiates the next action by pressing 1 for English and 2 for French, it's done, the person has just authorized something

I hope I am wrong but I just want to cautious everyone to be very careful with this type of call since we don't know the source of the call, DO NOT initiate any action as you might give away your authorization for something then you become a victim of some crimes.

I got at least one missed call on display"Toll Free Serv" from 800-391-9462 per day for several weeks.A lady called me today when I was in home. I told her no more calls for new business sales of credit card and hung up.

Please check your phone setting if it has a call block function.

This number has been calling me NON-STOP for over 3 weeks!!!! I've NEVER answered and they've never left a voicemail! Now they are calling me on the weekends!!!!!
They better be ready because the next time they call, I'll answer and the person on the other line will NOT like what I have to say!!

It looks like everyone got off better than me.  They direct debited $79.95 twice from my checking account using my ABA and Account numbers.  I called and they claimed I subscribed on-line, providing my info. for a Health care and Prescription savings plan.  BS!!!  I work for a fortune 150 Company and am very well insured.  Some Vendor I wrote a check must have given them my info.  In speaking with my bank, they advised they would refund the funds, but I should close my account.  The Associate at my bank advised there is no way to protect yourself from such theft.

BE WARY OF WHO YOU GIVE A CHECK FOR THEY MIGHT BE FUNDING FATWAS ON DAVID LETTERMAN, AS I BELIVE MY CORNER STORE HAS.

Keep getting calls.  Can it be deleted?
