Yep, I just got a call today -
I didn't answer (I rarely do when I don't know the number) and looked it up here.
makes sense it's something to do with PC Financial.
I do have a credit card with them (never carry a balance in 10 years - always pay it off the day I get the bill) but they've been bugging me for months to call now and up my credit limit.
What the heck do I need with a credit limit that's like 3 times more than I already have?
    I keep telling them "no".

As many posters have stated, these idiots are relentless!

They always call me on my cell after 5 pm on weekdays, because they figure someone is home (and they probably can't differentiate between a land line and mobile number).

First they called me once every evening for 3 days in a row. I blocked the number on my caller ID after their second call.

I know they keep calling even AFTER your caller ID hang ups on them, because unanswered numbers are stored for calling next day by an auto-dialer machine. So guess what happens next? They called 3 times on the same night, so I know there was a HUMAN BEING involved, since auto-dialers are set up to jump to the next number on the list and don't persist in calling the same number. This hints of malicious intent, because someone is trying to get back at you for blocking them. And machines aren't malicious (yet).

Years ago I once got persistent calls from a company (which I shall call B.B.) on my answering machine. I phoned back and told them to stop calling because I was using the line for a home-based business, and they were chewing up my answering machine tapes, not to mention keeping my phone line busy for customer calls or faxes. I put them on call block as well, but some enterprising young telemarketer who worked for this organization decided to use accomplices to call from other locations in different cities. I phoned many times for each new number, and pleaded with them to stop, stating I had nothing to donate. Finally, in desperation, I phoned this organization's head office, and threatened them with legal action. The calls stopped immediately.

Got 3 calls today from PC Financial wanting to talk to my wife, I asked about what and they said it was an marketing call, I told the one guy we don't want marketing calls and he hung up on me. I phoned back after the 2nd call and told him to take me off their list and he hung up on me. A third call from them and I answered the phone and talked like someone who had trouble speaking plainly and he hung up on me also. 1-866-246-7262. I found out that it really is PC Financial and they're trying to get me wife to up her credit limit through telemarketing.
