- FancieKeeps calling our house too ... obviously a marketing company or something of the sorts! Annoying indeed ... and we have an unlisted number!
- DeepSightPresident's Choice Master Card - Marketing Database-Computer generated call to establish when the best time to call the customer by when you pick up the phone. Program being used also, able to disinguish if routed to Voicemail. Sort of like doing recon work.
Won't be long until you are contacted by a telemarketer. All you do is ask the rep. to be removed from there call list, when they call. Problem solved. If not call them yourselves and speak to privacy department.- Caller: President's Choice Master Card

- Illona824Same thing as everyone else, it's been happening for a few weeks now - they just call, and there's no one on the other end.

- Brian TorontoI'm glad I found this site.
I just got a call today from 800-391-9462, on my Fido cell phone. It only rang twice before I picked up... but they caller hung up.
I'm a President's Choice customer, and I only have deposits with them, no credit. I've received calls from PC before for their insurance products.
You can always tell when a bank is not doing well... because they start increasing the telemarketing calls. BMO is bugging me to switch my brokerage account to them... and CIBC is pestering me to switch my GIC from RBC to them. Therefore avoid TSX:BMO and TSX:CM, their profits are under pressure.- Caller: ?

- Orillia, Ontario| 1 replyWe've been getting calls form this same number too 1-800-391-9462 .... I don't have call display but used *69 to call them back
I got a reocreded message saying I could remove my number from the calling list by pressing 1 then 1 again.
The weird/funny thing is I used *67 to BLOCK my number when I called ...... BUT the recording/automated operator STILL knew my number and read it back to me- Caller: Gemma Communications
- t from to replies to Orillia, Ontarioi live in toronto ontario and get calls from this number a couple of times a week. the number shows up on my cell so i called them back and it was gemma communications. i listened to a recording which told me all about how great gemma was as a solution for fortune 500 businesses, then all of a sudden read out a phone number to me and asked if it was the right number. i pressed the button for "no" (since it wasn't my number - go figure) and then was prompted to enter my number, which i did (i figure, they're calling me anyway, if i give them my number it doesn't really matter). the recorded message said that they would remove my number from their calling list within 24 hours. we shall see.
- vYep, it's definitely Master Card President's Choice. Some guy in a suit working at Loblaws told me they were giving away 20$ coupons for free groceries to their customers and all I had to do was give him my personal infos (name, address, phone, birth, work...) and that I'd receive the coupon by mail. Meanwhile, he gave me a coupon for a free 2L PC softdrink and the coupon said (I read it once I was out of the store) something like "thanks for choosing the PC Master Card" and I then figured out what just happened. As expected, I received a brand new approved Master Card (with a $7500 limit)by mail that I've never asked for but I immediately got rid of it. The "coupon" was actually 4 individual ones of a $5 value each and you had to spend a minimum of $50 dollars with each purchase to use one coupon AND pay with the PC card. A week or so later, I've received a secured PIN number for the card by mail and the call was made the same day on my cell (the number I gave the guy at Loblaws). I didn't pick up but I called back from another phone and it is a marketing business. The good news is that I actually saw the guy again at Loblaws and gave him serious [***] for their dishonnest marketing tactics because he never mentionned anything about a credit card to me or else I would've refused. I don't need another freakin' credit card! I even told him that I could sue them for using my information on false purposes and doing a credit check on me without my knowledge or consentment. I'm never puting foot in that store again.

- SBH| 1 replyGemma communications has been calling me for YEARS and, every time, I have called to remove my number from their list. BUT THEY KEEP CALLING.
Does anyone know how I can get a hold of a human being at Gemma so that I can give them a piece of my mind???- Caller: Gemma Communications
- David LettermanI got the call. Returned it and got one [***] up message.
They can go to hell. Along with all the other telemarketers. - sqd314| 2 repliesi'm from ontario with telus.
once they said they were from PC mastercard, i don't owe them any money though, it was an account protection thing, another time it was an automated message from gemma communications.
not sure exactly how to get off their list, but they call me EVERY SINGLE DAY, it's been 3 weeks now.
ugh! - Vjust got a call from this number and I live in the Toronto area. It called my cellphone and my provider is Telus.
- TodI'm getting the annoying calls from this number for about 3 weeks now. I've got the PC mastercard and called em as suggested by DeepSight above. The CSR was selling me some BS that I opted in for soliciting, damn right I did...I bet all their customers are on that list til you call and [***] at them. We shall see if they remove you from that list indeed.

- RebeccaI have recieved several calls from this number over the past couple of weeks but since I don't really like talking to telemarketers I don't answer 800 numbers so I don't really know who is calling. I figure that if it is someone who needs to speak with me then they will leave a message! They never do leave a message from this number. I am in the Toronto area, with a Rogers phone and I am a PC Financial customer so I'm sure that's probably who it is since everyone else on this list seems to have come to that conclusion.

- cyclonut from Burlington ONWe also get this annoying call, on our unlisted phone, and would like to have it stopped. This is no different, than when a thief is scoping out a property to find convenient time to rob people. Police should start protecting us against these kind of questionable practices, and I would welcome any legislation against this. No, instead they catch you for speeding 5 km/h while trying to get by in life... Maybe government is afraid of pissing off media people whom they use to bolster their images?!
Keep up the pressure! Cheers.
