alberta girl... someone in your house or office must have given your shaw, telus and office tel number to ROGERS for their rogers cell, tv or internet services... check it out..
so the only way for these calls to stop is for them to cancel all their rogers services... or else nothing else will work except Cancelling All Their Rogers cell phone or tv or internet.

talking nicely & gently to rogers telemarketer is useless... they'll agree to stop BUT they'll pass or sell your number to gemma corp to harass you... AND gemma will then sell/give/pass your number to everyone else ... other telemarketers, spyware producers, virus makers,  email scammers who want to steal your identity and credit cards ????

Well didn't this number give me a scare. It called on my TELUS phone (which happens to be my boyfriends number), because it is on my account as an alternate number to contact me by. My boyfriend picked it up and said that this number called about my Rogers bill going to collections.

Scared the piss out of me until I realized it was an 800 number. I never answer anything that says 800 on it, but he does.

Been to Rogers about the problem (my call list populates 14-20 800 numbers, and some oversea's numbers, out of 50), and they blew me off saying they couldn't help me. I resigered for the National Do-Not Call list. Doesn't work. Man those people must be making a fortune selling our numbers.

Yeah, you're right, Cassie. When any family member or anyone signs up with sneaky ROGERS and gives to crooked ROGERS the number of your TELUS cell phone, or gives greedy rogers your shaw home phone number, or your office number to use as a contact number, then ROGERS will telemarket the contact number given to them.  When you tell them to stop, they may or may NOT stop BUT will give your numbers to Gemma corp to harass you... asking you to buy ROGEERS "new" this and "new" that ... internet stick, new cell phone plans, etc.
Since ROGERS don't want to help you, I guess the only solution is for your bf to STOP and CANCEL his ROGERS cell phone.  Then when he is no longer a Rogers customer, they cannot call you anymore because it becomes illegal under the Do NOt Call List to call a non-customer... a report to the National Do Not Call List can get them stiff penalties when he is no longer a ROGERS customer.
Right now, you cannot do anything because he is still a rogers customer and the do not call list allows companies to call their customers.
So what are you all waiting for?

CANCEL ALL ROGERS services.

Call came in yesterday but it's a 800 and I don't answer them.  Did a redial of the number and a recording comes on and says "Please press one" .. I ain't doing that.

Received first-time call. Wrote to gemma and threatened legal action which is what you should all do. Will see if i get more calls. Will call rogers tomorrow. I don't recall giving rogers permission to give out my number. Really pissed about this. Is there a cell phone company that doesn't give out your number ?

I have reported the people who call from this number to the authorities.  So if you, crooks, are reading this,  I hereby let you know that I have recorded your voice (which I got by calling you back and it went to your machine HA- HA) and I have provided this and your telephone number to the department that is on the road to catching you.  So, please keep calling me -- the more you call me the more information I will have on you and the easier it will to find you.  So bring it on, guy.  I know that you are operating out of Quebec.  So please keep doing what you are doing.  I also know that you have someone on the inside at Rogers who is providing you with the cell numbers to call to try your criminal scheme on.  I know that this is Canadian scam as well.  Good luck escaping being caught now...

A lady called from this numbers and said '...on behave of..., Can I talk to....'.   But, she did not leave any phone numbers or the company name.
It is quite disgusting and annoying to receive such phone call.

The number 1-800-395-8813 is Gemma Communications LP.  They give you this number 416-850-9357 so you can have your name removed.  Looked up 416-850-9357 and saw that this number belongs to The Healthy Way, 250 Carlton St. Toronto,ON  M5A 2L1  416-850-9357 (Dundas St. & Parllament St.)????????  I tried other reverse look-ups and could not trace this number.  Shady, very shady!!

Called the 416 # and I'm off, thank you son!

They have been calling me non stop for a while now.  I just followed the directions to be "removed" from their call list.  We will see what happens in the next few days.

I have a question, on my LG shine TU720, when one of my friends on my contact list calls me, it always says ''Unavailable Number'' is calling. How do you fix that?

They have called me SEVEN TIMES within the past few days.

SEVEN. How do they think that is at all appropriate!!

I blocked them using Shaws blocking system.

But I want to call and give them a peice of my mind! SEVEN TIMES in the past few days! Really!?

I have been getting calls from this number most days in the last few weeks. I am getting really fed up with this so I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call List service: https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng

I recommend that others also file an official complaint and hopefully Gemma will stop harassing us and others.

im going through this too. was everyday for a while. slowed down to every couple days or so. today they just called for the third time.

im always paranoid to pick up calls to get added to lists..

Just to verify for the umpteenth time (!), this is a call from Gemma Communications.  I didn't answer (for the 100th time this week) and then called it back.  Voice prompts you through a "deactivate my number" list.  I then called Rogers and was told (politely) that there was no way off of the internal Marketing list.  I told her that I was disappointed I'd have to cancel my entire account with them just on principle, when she asked me to hold, came back and clarified that there IS a way off of it, and that she just took care of it.  To be sure, I thanked her, hung up and went to the Rogers site to do it myself (see instructions posted earlier by others).  It should be effective within 5 days.  Imagine!  No more contact on behalf of Rogers!  Yeah...right ;-)

Just call back the number and press 1 and then 1 again.. it explains how to take your number off.. should be back to normal in 24 hours..
