A guy called who is dumber than a rock.  Claims to be from Publisher's Clearing House and that I won $285,000 plus a $50,000 bonus if I act quickly.  Wanted me to go to Wal-Mart to send him $90 via Wal-Mart's Money Gram service to secure my prize.  Asked for my address (I gave hime the address to the Anchorage Police Dept.  Then asked me for the 9 digit number from the Money Gram receipt so he could confirm I sent the money (I gave him a 9 digit number which was his phone number backwards).  Claimed he would drop off the check at my address (the police dept).  Shortly after I got a call indicating that he couldn't deliver yet due to car problems and the the Money Gram number didn't work.  I told him he can pick-up the receipt when he drops off the check and hung up.  He called several times.  Finally, I used a version of the Leeam Neeson speach from the movie Taken (e.g. I don't know who you are - but I know I can find you.  I have a particular set of skills.  Skills that I can use to find you in any country.  Any location.  I can find the bed where you sleep.  Leave me alone or you will find out exactly what I mean."  Funny ... haven't heard back since.  The guy is from Jamaica and calls sometimes with his number masked and other times accidentally reveals his number.  They do this though because some people fall for it.  Don't fall for it, but it was fun letting him think I was going to be more stupid than he is and send him money.  Oh, they want the Money Gram made out to Shannon Moore so listen close to the name he gives.

Received a call from this number, rang one time and went to voicemail and the message was from "the Fraud Center" regarding fraudulent "business" on a credit card. Called the number back, automated message stated my phone number was not recognized and could I please give the number I was calling from. Gave a bogus number and was put through to a "fraud counselor" Sondra who requested my card number (no specific card like Discover, American Express, she must have been a trainee). I explained her script had too many weak spots and it was easy to recognize that this was a scam. Also explained she had called a Military Affairs office and she did not want to talk to me any longer.
