First of all, LDDS Metromedia is a billing company.  Companies contract with them to send out bills.  I called them after getting an unknown 39.95 "web hosting" charge on my local phone bill.  I spoke to a very nice lady who asked if I authorized the service from "BestWeb."  I said I had spoken to someone on the phone, but had not authorized any charges.  She proceeded to block any future billing and offer a credit on my phone bill (which could take about two billing cycles.)  This was a no-questions-asked discussion that took about five minutes and reflected well on LDDS Metromedia.  So, just remember this company deals with a lot of unscrupulous companies... it's still a human being on the other end of the line and the one I spoke to was very willing to credit my account and resolve my problem.

Got a bogus $14.95 charge on my AT&T bill from voicemail professionals. Called them up and they said someone made a purchase over the Internet and charged it to my account. They said they would credit my account but it could take a couple billing cycles. I then called AT&T and got them to block this company from billing my account in the future. I asked if I could block all 3rd party chages and was told that they couldn't do it in California. They then proceded to try to sell me more AT&T services. I lauged at them and told them that wiuth this back door open into my account, I doubt I will even have phone service with them anymore.

I have also received a $12.95 call on my landline phone bill, I do not have long distance access on that phone and have no idea who ILD Telecommunications is. Of course this happens on Sunday and AT&T no longer seems to have live customer service on the weekends! Have to remember to cram the call in on Monday during work!

Dam this ILD Telephone Inc is a big scam now from las vegas and said from Texas, I contacted directly to FBI, Texas and FBI, Nevada regarding this scam that happened on my resident phone many times and the best to reported the complaint directly state attorney and FBI in that state to handle this case. ILD Telephone Inc has no federal tax ID and no real station ...they are using computer phone to talk to you so make sure you don't give out any private information that they collect fromy you. Dam idiot scam. God will purnishment they soul sooner.

I have had the same problem too. But this is how it was explianed to me. ILD makes these random fake charges of, let's say 10,000 customers. They charge each an aveage of least $10.00. You call them and they're very helpful in issueing credit but they tell you it would take 2 to 3 billing cycles for the credit to show up on your bill. They take that $100,000.00 and invest it for 2 to 3 months and make money on it whether it be in interest, stocks, or whatever. next time they will charge about the same number of customers. And the cycle keeps going. That's why they do not argue when you call them. In fact, they are extremely nice and helpful. That's becuase they're making money on your money - not because they like you.

i just called qwest and the agent told me to contact 800 433 4518 to know why they charge me, thanks for the info over here. now i know its a scam.
i wonder why no one takes a legal action or why FTC doesn't take any action against those scams ????

Received a collect call from a friend of mine. The AT&T bill had a billing section from Intellicall OP SVCS for $8.50 for Federal Universal Service Fund, $3,79 for USF Administrative Fee, and then a charge of $59.05 for 28 minutes for the collect call. This is a complete scam

This scam still seems to be going strong.  Had a strangely large Verizon bill, and they told me what caused the difference.  I have no idea how they got me, but had 2 x $12.95 = $25.90 in additional charges.  ILD Teleservices - as I said to the woman I talked to there, "I don't know what kind of scam you are pulling"

Had a charge for $12.95 on my A T & T bill from ILD Communications Inc.  Called their number, 1-800-433-4518 to dispute the charge and was connected to a company called Itech P.C.. They claim that they provide remote computer services.  I told them I did not order any such thing and demanded VERY LOUDLY that they remove and credit the charge and cancel any further contact or charge to my number.  They promised it would be taken care of within 2 or 3 billing cycles. You have to be firm with these people as they will try to get you to sign up for whatever crap they are peddling.  I got a confirmation number in case I need to follow up.  Tomorrow I will call A T & T and inform them to be on the lookout for this credit and to block all 3rd party charges from now on.  We'll see how that goes (they are closed today).  I will post an update when things settle out.  I will also tell A T & T that my account with them, which I have had for nearly 40 years, (phone and internet) is in jeopary of being cancelled if they don't assist me in getting these Itech clowns out of my life.  A T & T knows that they have competition and I WILL go elsewhere if I have to.

This is a major scam.  I just received my AT&T phone bill and discovered a $12.95 charge from ILD Telecommunications, with 1-800-433-4518 shown as their customer service line.  I called the 1-800 number and a voice prompt asked me to enter my home phone number.  Fearing additional consequences and unauthorized charges, I hung up immediately and called AT&T.  The AT&T representative contacted ILD Telecommunications and stayed with me on the line while I talked to the ILD representative. The ILD rep asked me if I'd ordered their services and when I said "no," she then asked if someone in my family had entered my information!  I said my family would never do anything of the sort and to remove the charge immediately.  The "services" were for computer tech support and assistance to prevent issues with viruses, spyware, etc. Talk about ironic!  ILD agreed to remove the charge and cancel "my account" with them.  The AT&T rep was super nice throughout the process and has blocked this company from being able to make any charges on my AT&T bill in the future.

I got billed by these people  after a scam called our house OVER AND OVER claiming to be from the men's central jail.  they want you to take a collect call then the bill your phone for that. we don't know anyone in jail and never pressed the button to take the call

I just opened my ATT landline bill and there it was.  ILD  $7.87.  Less than everyone else here, but still.  I never heard of these people.  And I see this has been going on since at least 2007.  How is this allowed to continue?  I'm just glad there are sites like this that allow people to complain for all to see.  It helps when you see what others have done to remedy these scams.  I'll be making my calls to both ATT and ILD tomorrow.  They didn't call me, but they billed me for what?  I have no idea.  Just ILD and 800-433-4518.  I see it could me any number of different outfits.

Same thing is happening to me.   I am reporting them to the FCC.  Also reported them to the Office of the State Attorney General -- not much there.

just figured out on my FRONTIER Bill in Oregon, got scammed by ILD as well.
Frontier will only help with current monthly invoice, and the next month. But the do NOT help their customers
in refunding more than one month...Yet they let the scammers bill it?!?!?!
all amounts billed before i have to contact ILD and ask for re-imbursement.

All Frontier is doing:  Put a  BILL BLOCK on your number so no future scam billing can happen.( supposedly)

I never received a call, application or info.  Since i had no physical paper bill i did not see this until three months worth paid!
