- Caller: bell??
- CarsonWe have received this phone call they speak in French first then tell you an angent will speak to you shortly. Its almost like they want you to think that you called them not the other way around. so madding. I am trying to write exams they do not care about that.
They want thier money even if you have already paid the bill they continue to harrass you.- Caller: Bell Canada Collections
- Call type: Debt collector
- RickInOttawa replies to KaThe call limit (once per 24 hours) only applies if they made successful contact (if you answer the phone and speak to them). If there is no answer, or they get your voice mail, they can call back as often as they wish. It is unfortunate, and annoying, but that is the regulation.
- Don Langevinthat phone number always call on my cell
- Caller: don t now
- English Speaker replies to bob| 4 repliesThat IS English. Perhaps you could study a little harder?
- ElaineThis number 1800-4779205 calls me about 5 times a day or more.I don't care who it is I am sick of their calls
- Caller: unknown
- ElleThis number calls numerous times a day/night, never leaves a message and hangs up on me whenever I answer.
It's Bell Canada's automated system. I only discovered this by looking it up online. I finally called the credit department even though my bill isn't very overdue and I was assured that my account is "in good standing".
I've been with Bell for 20 years but after the harassment of these phone calls I am switching providers.
Crank calling is no way to treat loyal customers.- Caller: Bell Canada

- Mickael| 2 repliesYes that is a legitimate Bell collections number. But because of this, telemarketers spoof that number when calling outbound, so either you think it's Bell and will answer it, or you'll blame Bell for it when it isn't, which is exactly what you're all doing. How else to explain all these people here with accounts in good standing, or no accounts at all with Bell, getting calls.
And today things got worse. I have Bell Call Screen (where you can block 12 numbers) and have this on my blocked list. Before I added it I would get 5 calls a day from it. This morning that number is no longer blocked despite still being on the list,so it rang through twice in an hour, and if you try to use #01# to reject last caller, it says "The number of the last calling party is not available." BS it isn't!- Caller: Pakishit Call Center Inc, Bangalore
- PO'dThey've called me on two different numbers and I don't have Bell anything
- YouyuDec.18 2012
Recieved call from 1-800-477-9205.
Heavy foreign accent, kept asking for Mike (last name sounded like Reechy).
No Mike here.
He then asked if this was 1-633-????.
I said no, then he gave another number which is mine!
He kept saying he was from Bell.
I hung up. - Reasonable Person replies to ANTHONY| 2 repliesyou are all ridiculous
- Dr Anglais replies to English Speaker| 1 replyThis, and your response are both poor english.
- Bell Sucks| 1 replyIf these robo calls and harrassment is coming from Bell Canada collections I would suggest customers just quit and go with others companies as nothing else seems to work. This used to be an excellent company with there customers interests at heart but no more!
For twenty years Bell has been going downhill caring less and less about there customers, in past years you could actually contact the corporate office of either the president or vice president but now get shuttled to special department for unresolved issues. Needless to say this these guys are not empowered or care about customes as the corporate office used to, many years ago.
The excuse is that they have so many customers it would be impossible to field the calls at the corporate level, actually the reason is the service and customer care is so bad they have far more people calling to complain. Normally they shut these customers up by offering a reduction in costs of service for a short time.
Bell employee's I have talked with near retirement cannot wait to leave because they see all this crap and it bothers them. Many younger people working for them have told me they switched to other telephone companies and horror stories with Bell. Linemen have also mentioned really funny stuff with Bell.
Quitting Bell will send a signal but they seem almost deaf to the fact they are losing customers. I don't have sat tv with Bell and may cancel my landline service with them. Matter of fact I turn off the TV stations they own as its about 50% commercials or 30 minutes program to 30 minutes program!- Caller: Crappy Bell I think!
- Rogers Sucks replies to Bell SucksAs if Rogers is any better, come on...
The issue here is that 1-that number can't be blocked by Call Screen, 2-telemarketers take advantage by spoofing it, so if you get a call from that number you don't know if it's actually Bell, or a telemarketer.
Here is the way to tell. Let the call go to voicemail or your answering machine. If it's actually Bell they ALWAYS LEAVE A MESSAGE and will give you a real Bell number to call back. If it isn't, no message will be left and the [***] will just hang up.
But that doesn't avoid the problem of 5 calls a day, and the problem of so many numbers unblockable by Call Screen (numbers with phony/impossible area codes or exchanges -- like 999-123-4567). Best solution for that -- buy a Panasonic cordless phone that has the call block feature (most of them do now). Program 800-477-9205 into the blocked list. Next time it tries to call the phone will ring once, then the Panasonic will dump the call (and send them a fake busy signal). I get almost no telemarketers since I bought that, since I can block almost all the duct cleaning and cancun resort [***]. Has a 30 number capacity which sure beats the 12 of Call Screen. - Jan replies to brzThey call me 4 times a day. and i don't deal with bell. and i don't owe anyone money so i'm not sure why they are calling me 4 times a day. and i can't answer my cell cause they call when i'm at work. they should put me on thier do not call list. stupid people. i hate 800 callers they are either looking for money or it's creditors or stupid phone surveys. i don't answer them anyway.
