This number is a fake. The guy said I owed money on my express view and just wanted my credit card number. It sounds legit but it isn't I promise you. I just spent an hour on the phone with the real bell people and they had no clue, my accounts were all at 0 owing. I have 4 accounts with bell, this was scary cause they almost got my card number out of me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he refused and asked why(clue number 1). Also after he was going to transfer me to express view and I was hung up on. Be careful, he even asked me if I was interested in some different packages after he failed to get my number. They seemed legit but as I discovered it wasn't.

Everyone is talking about the 18004779205 # not beeing legit.. Let me just tell you guys that if you have a One bill account # meaning you have services with bell and all your services are bundles under one bill then that is the number to call if you have an outstanding balance on your account ... I do work for the collection agency for bell canada and that is the number i give my clients to take arrangements. The reason why so many departments tell you that the number is not one of their departments is because Soon enough Everyone will be transfered to the new bell billing system which includes One Bill. If the department in which you are calling says there is no balance on your account it is because the information that was on your account example bell wireline, Sympatico or bell tv is being transfered to this new billing system. Take for example your home phone bill The yellow bill represents the old billing system and the Blue bill represents the new billing system. As technoligie advances so do our systems. Even if you only have one service with bell you will still get transfered to the one billing system. As for the number on the caller ID marked as 000-000-0000 the reason why there is no number attached to it is because its a dialer calling and not a actually humain dialling every number. Can you only imagine how long with would take us agents to dial every number. And being the dialr calling if we associate a number to each dialer their wouldnt be enough numbers to go around. So on behalf of Bell Canada the 1-800-477-9205 phone number is lgitimate.

Don't believe anything this 'Bell Collections Senior Agent' said.  I got a voice mail from someone claiming to be from Bell Canada looking for "Eddie Long" (no, that's not my name) and asked to call 1-800-477 9205.  In addition to the fact that the voicemail was not professional, I had the same (one) service with Bell for the last 8+ yrs. If the call were indeed from Bell Canada, wouldn't they at least know who owns the number?    

Try to Google 1-800-477 9205 and see how many occurences of this scam.  There's even someone (called "Relieved") going from one website to another claiming the number is ok.  I wouldn't be surprised if this number is a collection agency outsourced by Bell Canada, and a number of people at this agency is running a scam.

To 'Bell Collections Senior Agent': post your name and employee number. I'll check with Bell Canada if you actually work for them.  Considering the number of typos in your posting, I would guess you're running a scam from Quebec.

the 000-000-0000 phone number.person claims to be BELL CANADA.  I made a payment of 200$ last week ever since they call me every single day.I am not late on my payments.  Last night i spoke to this rude guy and i told him tha t i will make a payment in 2 weeks. and not to call me back .. The next day a woman by the name Alicia starts talkgin to me rudely about the same thing  and i told her to stop calling and refused to connect me to her supervisor She says my supervisor isnt here at the moment, then i replied well do you have a supervisor she said she has to end the call. Thse Pople are robots and they are programed to do there job in that order. All they care about is making there calls because if they dont make enough calls per day they get pressure from there boss.

Try not to get offended , just dont pick up your phone, because all they do on the other end is put a note saying. " no answer" and they schedual a call back . BELL canada is a aggressive and they schedule there call backs everyday instead of every 2 days . I know this cause i used to work collections.

BELL CANADA has millions if not billions of dollars unfortunately have to power to ruin your name over 12 dollars.

solution:
Stick with a company not so big if possible or growing.

Collections is a emotional draining job and has the highest turn over rate. Dont belive me , check for yourself. they get paid over 13$/hour
and you only need 3 years of experince sometimes even less .

1. They are programed robots
2. they dont see you
3. All they care about is making there calls because if they dont make enough calls per day they get pressure from there boss.
4. the faster they get you off the phone the better

The reason why we called you on saturday was as the compagnie grows we decide to have longer hours. I was working morning shifts but then needed to go to school. Bell did see that there was aloy of people who can do night shift and just decided to open the evening shift. As for me its convinient for me because i get to go to school and work.

CanadianSoldier is correct. This is indeed a scam. If you call the number back you will notice clearly, that the message that plays says "Bell Billing and Credit" and not "Bell Canada Billing and Credit". I would suggest someone call Bell and tell them about this number. You must put an end to it... In fact I am going to report this guy to police.

This is actually a call about advertising in the yellowpages!
I asked them if it had anything to do with my phone service and they tried to get my info.  
I asked for a phone number that I could call to confirm the company and they wouldn't give me one...

ps. I don't think it's Bell collections because that phone number says Bell Canada on the caller ID.

On March 12, 2009 I received 2 calls within about 2 hours showing this nubmer. The first caller was a man, the second a woman. Both were asking to to talk to Peter. I told I don't give any information to undisclosed callers. After I asked them about 5 times to provide me their name, company and reason of the call, both hung up. The lady said it is a personal call before hanging up.

I got 3 calls from this number today.  It appears that it came from a cloned dialer.  I also called Bell Canada and Bell Mobility to find out what's going on.  They transferred me to the REAL 800-477-9205.  All my accounts are in order.

So yes.  DO NOT pick up calls from this number.

You know what's funny? I work for Bell and I received a call today on my work phone. They were looking for someone who no longer works here. He had the phone # extension that I have now. They called at 8:30 this morning. I told the dude then that he doesn't work here anymore and he hung up. I got a call at 12:00 today looking for him again. I said he doesn't work here and tried to find out who was calling. They said it was a private matter and that they'll call him on his secondary number. I said don't call here again, because he doesn't work here anymore and you're pissing me off because this is my work number and you're driving me nuts. She hung up. Even Bell comes after their own people. Crazy.

I Received that call too 3 to 4 time the 2 first time they put my on hold then it hang up by it self .. the 3 time that girl finily anser and i ask her why they call me 2 or 3 time befor and it hang up on me by the time i was done talking well again .. no one on the line .. so i had a talk with bell and they can't realy anser to my question and why i never hurd of it befor i got that call .. and why they din't let know ther client ... no anser but they toll me to give a look at those 2 page ...( they are in french but press eng on the top of the page )

I am not even with Bell Canada, never have been! they said I owe and to call back - rude rude people. you "agents" are the reason people run from bell......get some class and manners.........

1-800-477-9205 keeps calling a business number.  there is no-one at the other end of the line.....not even a recording.  Yet they keep dialing.

I just called this number you posted and its bell canada, your bill may be over due. My bill is not, its over billed by Bell Canada at a higher rate. I have told them to correct -the overbilled amount 35.00 and to correct it to the agreed amount of 19.99 they said they would compete with what rogers offered in telephone services and student rates.
I advise everyone to save your rogers info to call bell with and ask them if they will compete with the same rate.

I work nights and occassionally can sleep during the day. We all eventually need sleep, right? Well, today alone that 800-477-9205 number called 5 TIMES within one hour. I finally got up to turn it off and now have to get ready to leave again.

I have never been hounded by ANY number like this. I see varying complaints regarding legitimacy or not of this number. Anyone have solid proof?? I would hate to be woken up for nothing.

The first time i got the call from 1-800-477-9205 was yesterday and i didnt answer because i feel awkward answering 1800 numbers... Anywho, I AM NOT WITH BELL AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN WITH BELL. Soooo the only logical reason for them to call is because this is a scam.

And yes i am fully aware that Bell Canada does have the number listed on their website.... ( http://www.bell.ca/support/PrsCSrvGnl_FAQ_Det ... tent&FAQ_ID=208 )....but frankly i do not care seeing that they could be caller ID spoofing. On the Bell website where they list this number it says customers are to call this number NOT that Bell will call you from this number.

This is a scam, don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

Today I got 3 calls showing this number. Everytime when I picked it up nobody was answering and I only got the busy sign. Finally I was wondering who these idiots are and made a return call. I was transferred from the business line department to the home line department and back. Finally, I had a woman named Katie, ID #EX3326, on the line. When I asked why they called me and hung up, she couldn't give me any reason for these calls. When I mentionned that I don't have an overdue account, she the call could also be an offer for a new service. If these idiots think I'm going to do business with people who have nothing better to do than calling their customers and then hang up, the are on the wrong track. Better would be to look for another provider who doesn't call their customers for nothing. I told that lady, that I'm considering these calls as harrassment.
