Possibly "Bell Canada Collections"

recorded message saying this is important, regarding my bill, but then no message.

Caller says Bell credit services...  number shown up on phone as 000-000-0000, told my daughter it was important i call. I tried calling the 1-800-477-9205 number and immediately didnt feel comfortable leaving any personal info to it. (they tried to get me to make a payment).

I went  on Bell.ca  website and used the telephone number listed there and told them about the call.  they said my account was fine and the person i spoke to did not know about the 1-800-477-9205 number. My payments were up to date and there was nothing wrong with my account... Very Strange!!

I also received a pre-recorded message today asking me to call Bell Canada immediately regarding my account and it gave the number 1-800-477-9205 as the contact information - I had a suspicious feeling about it and came online to search if it was a scam, which from the looks of it from other peoples' experiences on this site, it is.

I got a call form this 800-477-9205 regarding an urgent billing matter.  When I called that number I was immediately asked for my number, I hung up.  I called Bell and told them about this number and call.  Bell checked the number and advised me it is one of their departments and my account is in order.  Bell transferred me back to that number but they did no respond for so long I hung up.

I also received a call but it was from 1-866-296-1718 and it came up bell canada and the phone number it says to call back is 1-800-477-9205 but i am not sure i should call back. Seems alot of people are getting this call and i just paid my bill so things should be fine there. Anyone find out if its just a scam or is it really bell canada?

I got a call and there was an automated message saying they were from Bell Canada and it was not a sales call, and to clal back that number. I did, and the opening message is a credit collections department. Sounds legit to me...

I am also received the call of 1-866-296-1718, tell me they will charge a long disdant call, it is not right, when I was recall them, they let me call the 1-800-477-9205, and nobody answer me.
I think maybe a trick, that, not long ago, simpatical mischarged me some money, and be tracing back by my TD bank, I don't know if they have more trick.

I too had a letter with this phone number the sympatico account number on the letter is not the same that the  truths... CALL RCMP ! GRC !

SAme phone number to call. When I spoke with someone they told me that I have outstanding bill and that my one bill has a balance since Sept even thought we do not have a one bill and discontinued our internet service as we were paying for high speed. They said it was for satelite 1-800-477-9205 which we do not have. Called the 800-477 9205 and someone answered and then hung up. Must be the bottom of the barrel if it Bell Canada. I only have basic service with them,

I got the same phone call today as what you did, and I got put through to the credit thing right away.  Funny thing was Bell Canada dude told me that I wouldn't have to give information again as he would have past it thru with my phone call, but the guy that answered the phone, was first off quite rude, and second off didn't have an answer for me as to why my information wasn't put thru.  Bell Canada frustrates me completely.

I had that happen, there was this weird guy who was calling me and some weird girl laughing in the back, so it was so weird.

It indicates that this is indeed a Bell billing department.

Shelly called 18662961718 asking ot phone 18004777205 requesting $2.99 in charges. They  said they were from Bell.

Got a call from 18004779205.  After a very aggrevating phone call I hung up.  They wanted to know where I worked, and a pin number(I did not give any information).  I told them to contact me through the proper channels.  I asked for a supervisor they refused.  I had a bad feeling and did not give the information they were looking for.  When I checked my bill, it said it was up to date.  The phone number on caller ID said PRIVATE NUMBER.  Bell usually says BELL CANADA.

I've gotten 2 calls from the number 0000000000 within the last 2 weeks on my cell phone. I didn't answer the first time but the second time it was answered and no on was on the line. This morning  get a call and the number is "withheld" so I don't pick up. I get a message on my voice mail to call 1 800 4777 9205 but the lady leaving the number spoke so unarticulent that i could barely get the number let alone anything else she was saying. Looking at all these messages about this number it seems very suspious, also Bell is ot even my service provider, I don't know how they would get my number.

On the bell website that also has this number listed to call for those in ontario, the business hours are 8-5, mon-fri...they called me today and its saturday

I have been getting this call a couple of times a month, last month was a different variation on the same number, same voice.  I was quite concerned last month, as I almost gave too much information.  When I called Bell today, they said my account is in order.  There is no reason why they should be calling.
I don't like this.  Bell gave me an e-mail to their head office, and told me not to give out any information as my account is in perfect order.
