- RingletGot a letter yesterday from 6200 Tennyson Pkwy Ste 200, Plano TX, 75024, telling me that I had credit card debt and that they would help me reduce it! What a bunch of baloney. I don't have any credit card debt.

- Ringlet replies to MMRegarding the Debt Mediation Notice from 6200 Tennyson Parkway, Suite 200, Plano, TX, I saw that the Vermont Attorney General is suing this company...they sent me a scam letter, too.
- pinkfloyd| 11 repliesI got a letter from Credit Arbitrators, LLC with a catalog. Big rip off! I don't even have any credit cards at all. When I called the number and gave my name, they asked me info like social security number & mothers maiden name for security purposes to prove who I was. I told them to drop dead (actually I used profanity) as it sure sounded like an identity theft scam and I was going to report them to the BBB.

- Randy replies to SteveThanks Steve. This is just the kind of info anyone with a credit card needs to know. It looks like you went out of your way to provide detailed information to the general public and it is greatly appreciated.
- carol replies to Stevethank you for the information, I don't know why I received it in the first place. I had inquired about any consolidations recently by mail or online.
- Skye replies to Steve| 1 replyThank you for all the info on this company. My letter from "Credit Arbitrators" came yesterday and I knew it had to be a scam because of the amount the letter stated I owed. My sympathies to those who think it is legit and actually call them. Texas must have lenient laws regarding telemarketing scammers since they seem to be based there. How sad that they are preying on people with a letter that can appear somewhat legitimate.
- Brooke replies to pinkfloyd| 10 repliesWow so many of you are so ignorant. You really should learn how to read all the way through the letter number one so that you are informed about what your talking about. Number two, i gaurantee that all of the companies that any of you work for do some kind of advertising..thats what this letter is. I recieved the letter and it never said i owed the debt to their company or that it was an attempt to collect any debt at all and it certainly did not say i was obligated to do anything, including respond to the letter (see i know that because i read all the way through :) ). Number three if you do your due diligence on the industry they are operating in you will realize this is 100% legitimate, although it may not be for everyone.
First of all, when i called someone very nice answered the phone and didn't ask for any of my personal information. (no social, no address, not even my name) The only thing the girl wanted was the reference number on the letter. She then proceed to explain to me what it was all about. My first question was why i had recieved it in the first place (ie how had they selected me). It turns out this is based on my demographic. The area that i live in has a high percentage of people who are struggling with debt ( i know this to be true because it seems like half of the people i know have either lost their jobs or are having to file bankruptcy). The letter was sent with an "estimated balance" that reflects the average amount of debt PER household in the area in which i live. I have a little more than what i showed actually. After i knew why i had received it, i wanted to know how it works.
This is a hardship debt relief program designed to help those of us who used to have "A+" credit but unfortunately have lost our jobs with this horrible economy and have been put in a position that we can barely afford to keep up our mortgage payments and utilities, let alone afford to make the payments on our credit cards. As i understand it, any type of specific financial hardship qualifies you for the program if it has made it more difficult for you to pay your bills. I had been making minimum payments (not getting anywhere) for 6 months or more on my accounts and tried to call my creditors to get them to help me and they flat out REFUSED even though i have been a paying customer for 15 years. When I received the letter from Credit Arbitrators i had actually already fallen a month behind and really needed someone to help me because i did NOT want to go bankrupt.
They are reducing my total debt of $35,000. Before i fell behind, i was spending $800 A MONTH on minimum payments that did nothing but go toward interest. I have one payment in their program that will pay ALL of my credit cards off in 3 1/2 years for $493 a month. INCLUDING what i pay them, the total cost for going this route will be $20,711. AGAIN that covers both my creditors and what they charge. Thats a HECK of a lot better than what i was looking at before (20 more years of MINIMUM payments and paying my "debt" off 4 times). Once i decided to move foward, my representative sent me all of the paperwork and even went over it with me line by line (there were several pages) to make sure i completely understood it. You do not have to come up with ANY extra money up front... you just have one monthly payment to keep up with and that covers everything. There wasn't anything questionable in their paperwork and I actually really appreciated having everything in black and white. By the way, they also provide a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE and there are NO class action lawsuits or goverment actions against them ( i'm anal about details and really dug up everything possible on them).
I hope my reply shows those of you who KNOW you need help that it is okay to call them and at least see what they have to offer.. even if some of the previous posts have scared you. It is a scary world that we live in, but theres no need to hide under a rock and be weary of everyone or everything that comes in your direction. Their program may not work as well for you as it is for me but it may at least be worth looking at. They never pushed or pressured me...in fact the girl that i spoke with urged me to make sure i was completely confident in the process before signing up. I just settled my first credit card and I'm very excited about my future now that i FINALLY have a light at the end of the tunnel and i didnt have to file bankruptcy. This is saving me. Good luck to all! - shill alert replies to Brooke| 2 repliesAll your reply shows is that you scammers are getting desperate and this site is working.
If even one tiny thing you write were true, you would have no reason to look up the number on a site like this, and you would have nothing to gain from trying to convince your potential victims that it's not a SCAM.
Your post means this: It is a scam, you are one of the scammers, and you're getting desperate.
Now be a good "happy customer" and let us know you're monitoring this site by insisting I'm , wrong. Go ahead. We're waiting for the next installment of DESPERATE SCAMMER AT WORK! - Malibubarbi replies to Brooke| 1 replyNo matter how thoughtful and informative "Brooke" may have posed her post to be, it is just plain BS! Let me point out the glaring mistakes in "Brooke's" argument. $493 x 3 1/2 yrs is NOT $20711 and there ARE GOVERNMENT ACTIONS against them in Conneticut, New York, Vermont and Colorado. The only statement in "Brooke's" post that is 100% legitimate is that "Brooke" is anal.
- Julie| 2 repliesLike many others listed here, I received a call and letter from this scam artist. BEWARE. I'd also recommend reporting them to your state's Attorney General. I will be reporting them not only to the Texas State Attorney General, the New York State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. I've already reported them to the USPS for mail fraud for the letter I was sent.

- aeo replies to SteveThanks so much for your detailed and informed response. It's people like you that help dishonest companies like them at bay! You're awesome:)
- possum20 replies to Patrecia K. McCurdy| 11 repliesIt is not a scam. I received the letter, called Credit Arbitrators, enrolled in their debt relief plan and graduated in 12 mos. completely debt free and my credit score is now on its way to being better than ever. And I owed a lot. I had been paying the minimum payments for years and could never get ahead of the curve. I am so glad I responded to the letter. You are so wrong. They do help a lot of people.
- beachcrab10 replies to bob| 2 repliesLow life bottom feeder. And tell us about the company you own and operate. I'm sure you have helped thousands of folks get rid of their debt and get a fresh start in life, too. I'm sure you'll die in debt, just like your parents did, then your kids inherit your mistakes like you did and so on generation after generation. The debt relief companies can fix your debt but they can't fix stupid!
- beachcrab10 replies to Jake T| 3 repliesGood credit. Yes, of course, that good credit is what got the debt you're in in the first place. The only purpose of a good credit score is to get more debt.
- jojojo676 replies to BrookeI have been receiving these letters for some time now. What a joke these companies are. If you take the time to call all of your creditors and negotiate you can do exactly what these companies are doing. The only difference is you are doing it for free instead of paying some company to do it for you. I have done this with all my creditors. I have reduced all my credit card rates from high 20 percents to 4 to 6 percent. I have cut my payments in half and will have my debt paid off within 24 months. If you just take the time to call all your creditors you can do the same. This also works on phone, cable, internet etc......
- Cathy replies to SteveThanks Steve, I received a letter a few weeks ago regarding this crap, and today I received another letter on a pink paper with the Bold Header "DEBT MEDIATION NOTICE" from this company Credit Arbitrators, LLC. They made it look like I had to respond to this letter by a certain date.
I how ever do not trust anything I don't know who it's from and always check the internet for reviews on things like this, and as I suspected it's another scam. Jerks, praying on people in hard times. My credit is A. That's why I suspected it as a scam.
I hope this helps some people from getting scammed. Another things who is this creep leaving messages on this post, who sounds so vicious. They must work for them I suspect. - Cathy replies to SteveAnother thing Steve I would like to ask, where are they getting your address from?
- nobama2012 replies to Jake TOf course it looks 'official'.
