- wiser now replies to SamanthaWhen I called the company, Brooke was the person I spoke to! So the very long post was definitely "in house". How stupid to post such a lengthy reply!
- rich replies to BrookeAnd how long have you worked for this sham company, all it is / is a way to rip off people that are in need
i am not and don't need your services so i called and was told to give your stupid ass rep a client number, how the hell am I supposed to do that when i never hired you [***]
stay in Texas OK rip off a bunch of Texans cause the state of California is coming up your ass soon - duke in OregonI am researching Credit Arbitrators for my friend who is in financial straits and will advise her not to do business with them. By the way, I would like to add yet another phone number to the list. 800-500-9789. Thanks to all who have shared their experiences and I would like to add that I feel extremely sorry for all that are desperately looking for a way out from under their heavy burden of debt. Damn those who prey on them.
- NevadaSenior| 2 repliesActually I got the letter asking me to call 800-500-9640 but everything above was there. There should be a law against such unsolicited letters. They put any amount as money you owe, scaring people as said above. Mine was a little different. By getting this in the mail.....my spouse got very upset believing we owed all this debt and this caused a huge fight and me digging through papers to show we are okay.
Causing family fights with misinformation should put them in prison as far as I am concerned. I had a different one the other day saying FINAL NOTICE. That scared my spouse to begin with but on opening it was a solicitation for a timeshare buy so that argument quickly ended.
Then a couple of days later, I get the one from this LLC company described as people did above. To have your name there with alleging amounts of debts for anyone to really open and read is the lowest. I wish there was a law against this kind of mail solicitation based on lies and causing family fights for no reason.- Caller: Credit Arbitrators LLC -by mail

- Bakermom replies to SteveThanks Steve for the detailed information. The "Final Notice" letter almost scared me into contacting them to see if it was on the level.
- Ella| 3 repliesSame story here. I have absolutely no debt at all. I have NO credit card debt, NO student loan debt, no home mortgage, no car loans, I have absolutely no loans AT ALL! I just paid off all my student loans in one lump sum a few months ago.
I then began receiving these letters in the mail, which look very official, and have become increasingly urgent in tone as time has passed. They are from the scam-artists CreditArbitrators LLC, at 6200 Tennyson Pkwy Ste 200, Plano, TX 75024. The most recent envelope states "Final Notice Enclosed" in large block letters and features a Warning that a $2000 fine or 5 yrs of prison or both are penalties for obstructing with the delivery of this letter!! Holy cow, you think, this is serious!
Open it up, and it says: Activation Final Notice. It lists a phone number of 1-800-500-9640. It states an account number (ludicrous! I have no account with them!) and an "Est. Balance" of $20,001- $30,000, as well as estimated savings in the $8-12,000 range. I suppose they want you to think you can save that money by calling them and enrolling in their "arbitration service". HELLO!! I HAVE NO DEBT FOR YOU TO ARBITRATE!!! I can only imagine how easily someone who DID have debt would be reeled in by this.
The letter asks for my attention re: Your Renegotiated Credit Card Balance Activation Expiration, and warns that I'd better call them no later than Oct 15, 2011 (today is Sept 29th).
The signature is an illegible squiggle, looks like initials in cursive, but no real letters are formed.
In tiny font at the bottom of the letter, it admits that CreditArbitrators LLC is not a lender, creditor, or collector. EXACTLY. So they should stop mailing out this obnoxious junk mail and defrauding people of their money. I hope they get sued out of business.- Caller: CreditArbitrators LLC

- Loren Zina replies to EllaMy mom just got the very same letter. You're right, when you see the WARNING on the front, it sounds pretty serious. How do they get away with this stuff? And how do you get them to stop?
I'm sick of it! - Tired of unwanted letters in my box replies to NevadaSeniorSir,
Please watch zeitgeistmovement.com. Our whole monetary system is nothing but a ponzi scheme with "fiat currency". It is not backed by anything except your taxes (slave labor) and the American people's ignorance to understanding how the whole thing works. You can also google "Project Red Pill" and take an active stance to help educate others. - RandomSignal replies to Patrecia K. McCurdyNo company that uses "hard sell" scare tactics on top of cold calling to solicit business is legit.
Stop and think.
In the current economy, a company that really did what they claim wouldn't need tactics like that. Word of mouth would have people mobbing their doors. - JoGoI've gotten the same letters with the the same personal type of information on the top that anyone could open, read and then act upon. Today I finally called the number and told the @sshole who answered that I was opting out and not to contact me again by either mail or phone. I have some debt but nothing like the outrageous amount in the letters and I always make payments on time and have an 750 credit rating so I am not in need of credit card mediation. There really should be a way to stop such deceitful letters and the companies who seek to prey upon the public.
- Tired of unwanted letters in my boxGot a letter in the mail from Credit Arbitrators LLC requesting that I call the (800) 500-9640. This is a third party solicitating for business. After loosing my job, all of my previous debt's statue of limitations has expired (In California it is 4 years). These people know this but hope that you do not. Please get Kevin Trudeau's books "Free moiney" and "Debt Cures". You may find them on Amazon. If you are experiencing hard times, it is not your fault. The banks (private corporations) get money from the people (Federal government) through taxes and then charge you fees and interest on IOU (fiat currency). This is the biggest scam that is repeated throughout the world. Can anyone name a country that has a legitimate currency that is backed by gold? We used to have a currency like that before Richard Nixon took office and took us off of the Gold standard. Now, we can print as much as we need. When that runs out, just make up some more phoney credit cards (piece of plastic) and give it some 16 cards digits and start charging people "interest" on that bull&^%$! What a fu*&^($ SCAM!!!!! Most people are unaware of this!!!!! Educate yourself! Get the documentary "Freedom to facism" of watch www.zeitgeistmovement.com!!

I knew it was a SCAM from the start, I trust my own instincts! - RozSo happy to read all the comments. I, also, concluded that this was scam and did nit reply. However, when I received follow-up notices, I decided to look into this "FINAL NOTICE" and concluded that there were still smart people alive and well.
- blpSteve
Thanks for taking time to reveal the true identity of the scam artists. Interestingly, today I received a letter described exactly as you depicted, and this was not the first one from "Credit Arbitrators." I shred and discarded all previous correspondence, however today, I decided to call the number. After listening to the individual, I explained to her that I would not need their services, basically because I am not experiencing any problems paying my bills. The young lady insisted that I give their company a try because doing so would allow for me to "get out of debt faster and allow me to save money." I explained that I had not done any research on this company and before committing to anything would need more information on the company. Well, she sent me a brochure that served to further confuse me. It wasn't until I conducted my personal research was I able to find out what they are truly about.- Call type: Debt collector
- TravCourt Finds Defendant in Contempt for Violating Prior Court Order That Prohibited Him from Making Credit Repair Pitches to Consumers
Responding to charges by the Federal Trade Commission, a U.S. district court has found a credit repair seller in contempt for violating a previous court order that required him to stop promoting worthless credit repair products and services to consumers. The contempt order finds Rick Lee Crosby, Jr. in civil contempt for violating a permanent injunction against him, requires him to reimburse consumers, and imposes a fine against him for each day he continues to violate the permanent injunction.
Despite a final order issued against Florida-based RCA Credit Services, LLC and its principals Rick Lee Crosby, Jr. and Brady Wellington, the court found that Crosby continued to market and sell credit repair services, including e-books, videos, and counseling sessions advising consumers with poor credit how to improve their credit score by using websites such as www.creditambassador.com and www.legalcredit.com. Also, by referring customers to other credit repair services, he violated the final order’s prohibition against assisting others in offering credit repair.
The contempt order stems from a complaint the FTC filed in October 2008 as part of the agency’s crackdown on scams that target consumers in financial distress. According to the complaint, until they were ordered to stop, RCA, Crosby, and Wellington ran deceptive online advertisements that claimed RCA could “Boost Your Credit Score Into The 700s in as little as 30 days,” and could remove “ANY or ALL Negative Accounts From Your Credit Report.” They further stated that a credit expert would “coach you on ways to remove negative remarks and unpaid debts from your credit report while adding new positive reporting accounts to your credit file.”
RCA Credit charged from $500 to more than $3,000 for its “services” and required at least partial payment up-front. In many instances, the FTC charged, the defendants provided consumers no services at all. The FTC also charged them with violating the Credit Repair Organizations Act by failing to provide, before contracts were signed, a written statement of “Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law;” failing to include conspicuous statements in their contracts about consumers’ right to cancel without penalty or obligation within three business days; and failing to provide a written “Notice of Cancellation” form.
On October 15, 2010, after a trial, the court issued an amended final order permanently shutting down RCA. The order bans Crosby and RCA from providing any credit repair products or services, prohibits them from making false credit repair claims, bars certain misrepresentations, and requires them to pay more than $350,000.
The order against Crosby finds him in civil contempt for violating the terms of the court’s final judgment and permanent injunction issued last year. It requires him to pay $7,935 and will allow the FTC to use the money to provide refunds to consumers he defrauded. Finally, the order imposes a $264 fine for each day that Crosby fails to comply with the terms of the amended final order, with the fines continuing to accrue until he has proven to the court that he is complying with its terms.
The civil contempt order was issued on October 5, 2011, by Judge James D. Whittemore of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.
