The biggest give-away of anything being junk mail is the fact that it is sent via Standard mail in the postage area.  No bill or any truely important correspondence is sent via standard mail.  Always First Class.

Yes, please! With the social media we all now can protect over selves better!
These people have to be investigated as soon as possible. They told me that they obtained my information from my bank. I called my bank, of course not. Then they told me from a credit bureau. No way, you can not get a credit report just because you are DA:). Finally they told me from public records.  Your credit card balance is not a public record.

I would like to ask everyone who cares, we should please ask Regulators to investigate this bold scam.
Office of Attorney General -Consumer Protection is one of the places.
    Also
    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/
    http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
    http://www.usa.gov/topics/consumer.shtml

With enough of our voices they will send these scampers where they belong!

I got a letter and my credit cards are both paid in full. I have a $45,000 credit limit on one and $13,000 on the other.  I have not checked my credit score lately it has been 830 at times. I find this letter insulting. I guess what they are telling honest people to do is to go out and borrow a lot of money and Jew the lien holder down?  It sucks if you ask me.

Yes, they are scam letters. They want me to buy another warranty for my car. It makes me angry, because the best solution is to trade in the car for a new car after it gets to be 4 or 5 years old.
