a few seconds agoThese replys by so called PI's are just collection agency representatives using more scare tactics.  They can not legally access your banking or financial or asset information.  Only through formal litigation, either by court order, or through the process of discovery in the course of a formal complaint, can this information be obtained, which means they would first have to initiate a complaint in your judicial district and have you served with said complaint.  After being served with the complaint, you would need to answer the complaint.  Then after multiple hearings and discovery, they MAY get to a point  where you have to disclose this private information.  Please everyone, do not be scared by these collection agencies.  Also, you need to notify them in WRITING to cease contact with you.  Verbally communicating it is not legally sufficient.  Also, make sure to write in your letter that you dispute the debt and to cease communication with you, includling telephoning you.  Also, make sure to keep a copy of your letter to them and be sure to send it certified mail so they can not dispute not having received the letter.

Got that phone call from a certain Paul Gurber from Profile Investigation. The call came from a 917-292-1605 local NY cell # and said he was hired this morning for an Asset Liability investigation by Scott Norwood from CNA incorporated. Any questions should be directed to Scott at 1-800-509-6060 xt 243 and gave a case number to refer to. The funny thing is that CNA is our insurance company... smh. Must be a different CNA. Weird.
Any validity to that CNA incorporated that is not a well known insurance company?

Received several letters and faxes from these guys about a disputed trash pickup bill.  There letters are illegal and misleading.  Anyone interested in starting a class action lawsuit against them?  I have two attorneys willing to start this action.  Send email to masspector@aol.com.

Lets put an end to companies like this that try to intimidate small business owners.

Rubenstien thinks he's a tough guy but he's just a telephone tough guy. I'd like to meet him in person some day and see if he is as bad in person as he thinks he is on the phone. Coface and Rubenstien didn't have their facts straight, but that did not stop them from threatening me. Stand up to them and don't let them push you around.

private investigator are hired by collection agencies to track down dead beat debtors. this is not a scare tatic it's a fact. also keep in mind, if the debt is valid and you choose to ignore and request a cease and desist, a judgment can be filed and funds (check/savings or property sale) will be awarded to the agencies client. ignoring your responsibilty isn't alway the smartest thing to do. staying calm and acting mature will get you further in the long run, than acting like a 10 year old.

no but what he can do, is state that you owe his client money in front of your customers. do you really want your customers to know that you are unstable? remember the collection agency is going after a business, not a person so the collection rule and laws apply differently.

Dunning letters are always sent. so this attempt at ignorance is what pisses people off. if people would act like th adults they claims to be then you wouldn't have these problems. and before you get all crazy with"you must be lucky to be able to pay all your bills." i don't and received these calls myself, the only difference is i answer the phone and treat them the way i would like to be treated. then we discuss what i'm able to afford and thats what i send on a monthly  basis.

Rubenstein is a punk and a coward. Coface employees are real tough guys on the phone or on-line. I was told "We have your address and know where you live". Well grow a set and come get me Rubenberg!  I'll break my foot off in your a**. Before you threaten somebody, you should get all of your facts straight. But you don't really care about the facts, because you're paid to be a rude, crude, obnoxious jerk. You would never make it in the real business world because that takes brains and common sense. You all are clueless without a script. I feel sorry for your kids, they will probably end up losers just like their no talent loser parents.

Any calls from this number are all scams (Jeremy Clement and gave his # as 713.589.4274). These are con artist trying to pose as bill collectors. Immediately file a complaint with your local Attorney General's office should you ever receive a call from these people. My aim is to shut these guys down.

Remember, they must fully comply with the laws regarding collection activity. Going forward, if the phone calls continue in a rude or demeaning manner, write the collection agency a "cease and desist" letter stating they are not permitted to contact you by phone and can only do so by mail. Anyone have an address for these posers?

You are so ignorant replies to Mrs.Brown
There are mitigating circumstances that have can affect a person's ability to make good on a debt. There are business owners who have had a chain of circumstances beyond their control that brought them down. They are not all dead beat losers.

Oh Great, John Rubenstein is the guy who keeps calling me.  I don't even know why he's calling! I'm an individual, not a business and I have absolutely no outstanding debt.  I haven't tried calling him back yet though so I'll try later and see what it's about.  Thanks for everyone posting information about this though, now I know for sure it's a scam.
