I love this, debtors telling debtors how to not pay bills. It is no wonder how our country got to where it is today. If you extend credit on product, service, etc. pay your bill. Why do you insist on being a deadbeat?

OK... so tell me how I get them to stop calling me and leaving messages.  I have perfect credit and have never been late on a bill in my life.  I am getting calls because they are trying to find my sister.  I am on the Do Not Call List, which makes these calls illegal and they are calling my office and misrepresenting themselves.

I can't find a email address that works to file a complaint, so I will just keep filing DNC list compliants I guess.

I am very interested in class actions lawsuit. They left a message CNA Incorporated 1-800-509-6060 x 225 Paul Gerber is "supposedly" conducting a asset and liability investigation and to call a Kara Kimble. I asked if they were a bill collector and they said no, but if I did not cooperate they would give my information to an attorney down here. I hung up on them.

I believe doing that in front of customers without validating the debt, could be considering defamation of character. He could claim a monetary loss due to this act and sue both the PI and the company which hired the PI.

I am a former collector, the fair debt collection practices act or title 8 came about because of wide spread abuses by debt collectors, caution in dealing with them is the course of wisdom not a simple desire to avoid a legitimate debt.

Various  studies have shown that a more professional approach actually collects more money.

Acttually most collection people are reasonable profesionals, unfortunately idiots like these guys make a more lasting impression

Are you serious.  Please have someone proof read your posts before you post them.  If you are representing Coface, you should at least be able to form a sentence.  Hard to believe that anything moves from your desk to an attorney.

Criminal charges can only be filed by the creditor and it has to be for a criminal action.  A bad check, intent to defraud, or something along those lines.  However, the collection agency can assist the client in processing criminal charges is they are warranted.

I agree, you bogus posters trying to cover your butts and steal from people are just a riot.  I laugh each and every time one of you calls me and gets an air horn blast in the ear.  It's just hysterical, especially when you hear them drop the phone, or pull off their headsets and swear.

Too bad crooks like you can't get your chuckles elsewhere; really rather pathetic and sad.  

A legit collection agent is a professional.  You are, unfortunately, a total loser who is trying in their own feeble, tight-a$$ed way to make people fall for your scams.

I just received a call with caller ID showing "Thomas Brenan" from phone # 917-292-1605 who stated that he was hired as a PI to conduct an investigation beginning tomorrow of the company assets and liabilities for a client named Mr Mike Ryan of CNA Inc at phone # 1-800-509-6060 x1220.  The PI stated his name was Paul Gerber at # 917-254-3279.

So apparently they have updated some of their phone numbers to be different, but their scare tactics are all the same.

They don't even have the right person in this case.

I also recieved a call today at my office asking for me.  My receptionist answered and took a message.  The guys name was Paul Gerber, a liscenced private investigator hired to do an asser and liability investigation against the business.  If I had any questions call the client directly, which is CNA, Inc.  Keith West  800-509-6060 ext. 1214

Ouch Nikki.  Maybe you should first think about using proper grammer and full sentences before attempting to throw a threat out.  It is a full on scam.  They cannot visit your place of business unless they have a warrent or subpoena.
