Payment was due on the 15th, today is the 19th and they are calling me looking for $. Had they checked their own online system, they could see a pending payment scheduled to process on the 21st. I'm not even 5 days past due.... really Chase?

I strongly suspect some deadbeat bought a car he didn't plan to pay for.  He lied on the loan application, giving your phone number instead of his own.  Explain that to the caller next time they call, ending by saying " you have GOT to stop calling me".

I had a different car loan company calling me looking for a deadbeat named "Michael".  That's how I got rid of them.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

You can also send them a cease & desist letter via snail mail, certified or return receipt.

Each state may be different; in MN legally a company you are currently doing business/have an account with they can call you up to 5 times per day until you resolve the issue of the call. They have no idea when is the best time to call; although in MN companies cannot call before 8/9am or after 9pm.

Tip: 'Do Not Call List' does not work for companies that you currently have business with; so don't try for those reasons. 'Do Not Call List' is for Telemarketers/Solicitors, there are some expections such as nonprofit organizations are exempt. If you do register with the National/Local Do Not Call List; this can take 30 days - 3 months becuase I believe these are updated quarterly so it all depends on the cut off when you register.

I can say my experience so far has been great with CHASE; they have been noting but friendly. Ever have a problem; remember to always request/demand to speak with a supervisor or management. Good Luck!

Phone#'s change; could they had an old phone# on file?  Whatever the case, normally its not that easy. I am surprized they did not ask for more information to determine you are not who you say you are. ANYONE can say they are not the person on the loan/account and falsify.

Glad it worked out for you.

Once you pass your due date, you are considered past due on your loans, late fees apply in most states at the 10 day mark for the majority of them with seval having a fifteen day peripd before they apply. Additional daily interest is assessed once you pass your due date and in a simple loan would have to be paid before principal is paid down. There is an important point called the saturation point where a payment will no longer go towards principal but instead interest carries forward. In a sub prime loan this starts at 7 or 8 days, but it gets later and later as the principal remaining gets paid off.

the thirty days you talk about is for credit reporting, because of the sensitivity of the information, it is only transmitted once a month, at the end of each month,  it takes a snapshot of your account and tells the agencies how many payments behind every account is. Every company is obligated to report, withholding it from other lendors is a serious infraction.

They can call as much as is deemed reasonable by case and statute law. The only time they cannot call you more than once is if they spoke previously with you that day.

Agents love pending payments and go wild over them if they see one. Because the bonus system is so broken, they try and scramble for easy kept arrangements.

Best solution is answer and tell them about the arrangement, ask if they have a confirmation number. Arrangement set and both parties are happy.

During the last three days I have received 8 calls from phone number 1-800-510-8106. I have understood after research on Internet that they come from Chase Auto Finance. I have never had a loan with them or with any other company. They don't leave a message.

This is CHASE AUTO FINANCE collections. IF you got a call they are legit. I called JP CHASE NY and that 800 number is out of Houston. IF they excessively bother you, call the Harris County Clerks office at 713-274-8600 file official compliant also call A.G. Ken Paxton of Texas 512-463-2100 or 800-621-0508. Texas doesn't mess around with companies that FU$K citizens. Trust me, they will take care of the harassment but you MUST document all calls and actions you took to stop the harassment (Record calls -SKype or MagicJack etc). Bottom line its legit, but TEXAS Gov. will take care of them. Can you imagine if you really owed them the money? Warning dont do business with CHASE...this is what you will get!! Lousy computer database upkeep that is why many of us get calls on accounts we dont have!!!!

I've been getting robo calls many times a day from this number.  No one ever identifies himself; there is no one on the line.  Your website identifies this number as from Chase Auto Loan.  I am completely up to date on all my accounts.
