- fulsmith replies to Melanie- MichiganI disagree. I get these calls and I don't have any overdue bills. It is a cost they are apparently passing onto their clients.
- Sniper ∆| 1 replyHave you tried Blocking the caller? Should be *60.
Or try *57, Costomer originated trace - Sniper ∆Also, *77 is supposed to reject calls from "Anonymous" callers, or callers who have a privacy feature that prevents the delivery of their calling numbers to the called party.
- ErinI have been getting a call from this number for the past two weeks. Each time I answer, they hang up...no messages so far.

- NancyReceived a call from this number... did not answer due to being at work. After reading these posts I am shocked that I would be getting any collection calls, I am in active BKR status - chapter 7. I have also never lived in Detroit, MI. I will definitely answer if they call again and give them a piece of my mind!

- Rockmom replies to CaitlinI continue to get calls from these people. I've spoken to a couple reps and told them that the person they ask about, I have no knowledge of. I keep asking them to remove my number from their call list, which they said they would. Once again this a.m. I get a call about the same person! Now I'm angry, but I held my composure. However, after telling them again to remove me from their list, this bimbo raises her voice and says "we've removed your number, what do you want us to do?"
I wanted to tell her really where to go, but I politely told her that if my number was truly removed, why did I just get another call? She hung up!
This company needs to train their reps on proper customer servicing. Idiots!! - lana| 4 repliesI have been reading many posts on here about LJ Ross. I am surprised that many people are scared to call them back after a message left for them. They would rather get a call over and over again and whine about it on the internet. What can they do to you over the phone? Nothing. Just find out what they want and go on with your life. I am an attorney that has worked with them on behalf of clients and didn't have a problem taking care of my client's debt because when I said I would have the bill resolved, I did and that was that. People who have a problem with collections are usually people who don't pay their bills. Listen people, this country is in a mess and if you don't pay your personal obligations, then YOU are contributing to the problem, not the collection industry. Collection agencies return 32 Billion dollars back to our economy yearly. What do you contribute to the economy?
- Mich-man replies to lanaThese same bottom feeders keep calling my cell for my wife. As soon as I say this is not her phone they hang up. But call the very next month. Then sometimes I get the automated service and put on hold. Like I will wait for then 60 seconds. They have yet to send any info to my house. All they want is you to pay them a siad amount based upon "their word". No thanks buddy.
- Michael replies to SOMEONE IN MICHIGANThat's a silly guess, Someone In Michigan. It's more likely a sales call. Or, they have the wrong number for someone else they believe owes a debt. If you call back, you will simply confirm that the number isn't just a black hole, and they will keep calling.
- furious from mithis company has called my x husbands phone he has been an x for about 7years now, and called his brothers phone also, what the heck ..asking for me? seriously ... how does this company knpw their phone number and not mine
- Caller: r.j ross &associates
- D in MIEvery time I answer my phone, they hang up! So not being able to leave a message doesn't apply here. Why won't they talk to me when I answer the phone if they're ligit? It's an 800 number, so someone could set up a dialer to ring them back over and over and let them pay for the calls, assuming they answer.

- Chris replies to Kenn| 18 repliesIt is medical collections people. U owe a medical bill to one of the Detroit/Ann Arbor area Hospitals that has not been paid. U need to contact your medical provider, who probably will not pay it now that you have ignored all the calls and been posting on here like idiots instead of finding out who it is. Most medical companies dont pay your full bill and it gets sent to places like this, and you have no clue...........until it ends up on your credit.
- meHad this number for 3 weeks now am old and have health insurance.!!

- energy companysad to say in this day and time im sure many have past due bills,it is hard enough tring to keep the current ones paid and food on the table let alone tring to pay something from the past.as for them collecting on a medical bill,if our medical insurance was worth half of the work we put in for it so many people would not have medical bills. now adays it does no good to even have medical insurance because it covers nothing or no accepts the insurance you have.
- reply to meme replies to meme| 1 replyfirst of all any bill over 7 yrs old can not be collected on,its what they call statue of limitations, and with you being unable to work im sure you draw disability or ssi......they are not allowed to garnish you so i woulda told them you can't get blood from a turnip so get it the best way you can. i would not have agreed to pay anything to them.
