I just received a call from 800-542-1048. This is the third time they've called me at work this week. I never answer & they never leave a message. How do I get them to stop calling?

This company called me at work and left a message on my private voicemail AS WELL AS the main office voicemail for everyone to hear. It was pretty embarrassing. I have never heard of this company, but I looked them up online and sent an email telling them not to call me at work again. They called my cell phone and left a voicemail "This is Heather. I received an email from you and need to talk to you." The only way I knew it was this company was by googling this number. The other number they call from is "not in service" when you call it back.

I am fed up, these people called me, repeating my soci sec number , Dob etc. on the message. for who ever would listen in to hear. for starters, claiming that I got a loan, for $250 in March of 09, from IE advance  a company only Meta Bank uses for debit card holders, a card I did not get untill july 09.  and telling me, that I needed to pay them $4,000 , for this $250 loan. or else I would be sued and they would take my house, which I rent, and everything else I have. that I was to emediatly submit a list of my assetts, I just went through divorce. after 14 years of being married to a monster, who was my payee rep on my DI before we got married, who frauded SSI benefits on my kids, being sent to colorado, when we were living in kansas. he stole $24,000 in child suport from my son. and embessled $128,000.00 from fort riley national Bank, by giving his brother 2 blank check books on my DI account in 98, which I reported stolen, so in 2000 his brother started writing and cashing those checks, when he was arrested for forgery in arizona, my ex husband tried to convince me I made a $10,000 math error, when he used my money to bail his brother out. I believe he is involved with this number 800-542-1048 , it is an elaberate scam, also if any of you get a call from 620-664-6032, be aware it is a satalite number used to elegaly tap your phone. so they can listen in, certain officials call it probable cause, everyone else knows it is invassion of privacy.

i think this number is a scam the company says is a debt collector and they have turn my debt over to another debit collector and when i pull their number up i get the same complaint.

This has to be some kind of scam! This VERY rude person told me I owed money to a company from 1993, and they are gonna pursue legal action if I don't pay the money. He would NOT give me the name of the company or any other details regarding this issue. He kept demanding my SS# and other personal info. This is absolutely a SCAM and I have reported them to the BBB. They have many claims against them pending on GOOGLE. Look up Stevens & Michaels law firm, it is NOT a law firm it is a collection agency practicing hoorible and fraudulent practices. BEWARE!

I keep getting called from this National Credit Adjusters company.  I have yet to talk to them as they always call while I am at work.  Basically if they call you several times a day and they leave automated messages then look into legal arrangements against them.  I am currently building the info up to seek legal arranagements against them and the company who sold the account to a fradualant company.  This is the third company that has gotten my account and all have used the bullying, and threatened to contact my work and start taking money from my check in which they have not had approved by a court.  It is time the consumers acted back towards companies like this.  If they didn't have us they would all be out of business.

This number just called I told her I didnt know who this person was she was looking for and tht was the end of that so we'll see if they call back. It was me they were looking for but under my married name I am now divorced so  Isaid no wrong number.... so I looked the number up and found all this! Nice to know!! Some people are just unreal at  times!  So I hung upand called the number back it said something like if I had recieved a letter or some sort basically a letter that im being sued to stay on the line I didnt though I hung up again.

I have been receiving calls from this company on and off for 6 months.  they say i owe 1500 on a credit card that i was told my the credit card company was resolved.  My daughter was really sick for 2 years and we had to let a lot of things go so we could pay for her treatments and doctors visits and i was upfront with the people we owed money too.  i explained our situation and a majority of them understood and went above and beyond to help up except one and they have harassed us for months now and i told them to refer it to our lawyer and a month later it was in collections with this company and my lawyer has done everything he can to get a payment arrangement set up but they refuse so i told them they could take me to court and once the judge found out about their horrible treatment and harassing phone calls the debt would be erased and there would be nothing they could do about it.  the person i spoke to called me a few bad names and hung up now they just call 10 times a day and hang up and when i call back and give my name they call me a bad word and hang up this has been going on for months now. hopefully we will get something settled i am not a dead beat and that's what these people keep calling me   i have tried to set something up personally and threw legal means and they refuse.  I hope everyone else being harassed by these people have better luck getting rid of them then i am having.

I am pissed this company from this number 18005421048 called ppl I have never listed as a reference on any applications...and said there was fraud on my social....I called back the man quoted the bible...wanted me to pay without giving me paperwork...this us ridiculous...

Someone by the name of Kory Seals called my at my place of employment.  She gave no company name wanted me to call her back and asked for our fax number to verify employment.  I also called the number back and got the automated messagae that does not give a company name only that if you have recieved a court summons please speak to our legal department.  I can not recieve calls like this at work or I will lose my job.  What can I do??

I just got a call from this number too..some guy named Dane....he kept asking if I was Sarah which I am but I didnt tell him that..everytime I asked who he was he kept asking if I was Sarah so I just hung up on him. this was like 5 min..no call back so far.

I received a call from this number at my work, they left a name, phone number, extension and reference number for me to call back.  I have to say after reading these posts I was a little leary of returning a call, but I did so that I could find out exactly what it was they were calling about.  I got through to the person that actually left the message, she identified the company, herself and the debt and it was one that I did owe.  She did not ask for any personal information before she identified herself and the debt and she was very friendly and helpful in letting me get this resolved in a manner that was easy for me to do.  Maybe she was one of just a few friendly people that work for NCA, I can't honestly say, but as someone who DID owe the debt, I was glad to be able to work it out to get it taken care of and not in an intimidating or threatening way as some of these posts described.

They will not stop calling for a person who does not own this number!

I hav been getting harassing calls from this number over and over. They dont leave a message. I answered today and the man threaten to have me arrested if I did not give him my ss number. I hung up and he called my work, I explained to him that he could not be calling me at work I would lose my job, he stated so!

I didn't get a call from them. I woke up today to see that $500 was missing out of our account. After talking to the bank and putting out a $30 stop pay on it I was able to get this number from the tracing records at my bank. So I started calling at 8am, for them thats 7am. So I had to wait an hour. So I get to speek to a person who did not give his name. He tells me there is only ONE person out of the whole building that can speek to me and she is bussy. They just opened and shes bussy?? Ok. So i leave a message on her voice mail. 2 hours later no reply yet. I call back, speek to the same no name guy who says the same thing. I leave another message. Another 2 hours later, no call. By this time I am heated. I call back and get now a no name girl who says the only person who can talk to me about this has left for the day. Whatever. They never got my permission to be in my account, and I never got any papers telling me I have any judgments pending or a court date or anything. I have no idea what or who they are trying to collect for. Now I need to go close the bank account I have had for the last 7 years over this. And I AM getting a lawyer and suing them.

Got a call at work from 404-220-7495 came up on caller ID as Atlanta.  They left a message for someone to pass a message on to me to call Atlanta back 800-542-1048 xt. 1366.  Seems like a scam, but scared since they are calling my work...

I recieved a call from these people also at my place of employment. I was threatened and told that if I did not pay, that it would not be good for me. I told the man to not call me anymore and that he could contact me through the us postal service. He had a very heavy accent and I could hardly understand him.These people are rude and intimidating. He also never said where he was calling from or stated that this call was being recorded which it probably was, and that is illegal for them not to disclose that along with all the other bogus things these people say. This is stressing me out and if they continue to call my work, I will lose my job.

I TOLD TO NOT CALL ME AT WORK ANYMORE AND TO CALL MY CELL PHONE SHE STATED THAT SHE DOES CALL MY CELL PHONE AND THAT I NEVER ANSWER. I ASKED HER WHAT NUMBER SHE HAD AND SHE GAVE ME A CELL # I HAVENT HAD IN OVER 2 YEARS. I TOLD HER TO MAKE NOTE THAT THE ONLY TIME SHE HAS SPOKEN TO ME WAS ON MAY 11,2011 AT 3:15PM SO HER NOTES SHE WAS REFERERENCING WERE INCORRECT
SHE ATTEMPTED TO GET LOUDER WITH ME ON THE PHONE. MY PHONE LINES AT WORK ARE RECORDED AT AL TIMES.

We had a company like this harrassing a co-worker. Awful!! So one of us blew a wistle in the ear of the caller everytime they called. Thies went on for a few calls. Then they stopped calling. Literally blowa whistle in their ear...worked for us.

I got a call from this # 443-863-4624. LaWanda (ghetto) left me a voice mail stating she was from National Credit Adjuster &to call her back @ 800-542-1048 x 1122. Not sure what this is regarding but based of the posts i have read here I WILL NOT be calling these scammers back.
