Got a call from 1-800-542-1048, 4-5 times a day! Aren't they violating the law by calling more than once a day? They even called family members and telling them that I owe a debt I do not even know about. They will not state where they are from, and threatened that a law suit will be against me.

They have called me I told them if you my my info then mail what you have to me they refuse to.

Receive numerous calls and no message. Must be terribly important to not leave a message. I'm sure with credit rating of 825 it probably isn't me.

I received a call today twice from 1-800-542-1048. The caller didn't leave a message. I personally don't answer telephone numbers I don't recognize. There are so many scam artists out here looking to use scare tactics to scam people out of their money. Please know that no one is going to call you to either arrest or sue you via telephone concerning a debt. You can report these awful people to to the Federal Trade Commission. Anytime, I receive calls from numbers I don't recognize I just block them from ever calling me again.

It’s not always scum. I’ve gotten a call from the Humber multiple times staying I owed money to a hospital.... a hospital that I had all the paperwork and bank statements showing that I had paid off almost a year before the calls started. I offered multiple times to send them the information proving that it was paid and I was told If I didn’t make a payment then I would be sued. They wanted no part in looking at any information. After requesting to speak with management multiple times, I was either hung up on or told that I didn’t need to speak with management and that the person on the phone I was speaking with “knew what they were doing”. I contacted the hospital that they said I owed money to and was told I had no outstanding bills with them, nor was anything ever sent to collections. Yes, collection agencies have a job to do, but they’re are plenty of “scum” agensciea that will lie and threaten. There are also places that claim to be an agency and it’s a scam.

What do you mean "It’s not always scum."?  What is a "Humber"? The law says that you do not need to do anything to prove that you don't owe the debt so why would you offer to do so?

This is actually illegal and a scare tactic they try because many people don’t realize the legal issues behind it. They can not and do not have anything going.

Yes! They're rude and professional at all be asking for you give your personal information over to them ,They only stated their first name no Business name.

Well I have gotten two calls from this National Credit Adjusters (or so they say they are legitimate) but did not answer; I go on break and I call the number 1-800-542-1048 they give the option to press 0 to wait for an operator or just stay on the line; so the representative comes on and he says his name is Lane or Lame and I ask why do they keep calling me and all he said "It's a personal matter" and ask for my name and I hung up,,,,,,,,,,,,,don't like give out my information to people I do not know

Everything you need to know about the company has already been posted.  I don't know why you are posting in this number if you received a call from that phone number but since you are in the wrong thread, your post is being reported.
