If you have charges on your account under TLG TRVLADV or TLG SHOPPER (followed by a series of numbers) it's a fraudulent charge. I was being charged $16.99 twice a month for who knows how long. I blame myself for not catching it sooner, of course.
Had to cancel my debit card, stop payments on the old and new card plus dispute the charges only to get back 90 days worth of them.
Live and learn... pay attention to your statements...

This TLG Shopper has been taking monthly charges out of my acct...when I did not receive anything about it.
When I called to cancel this there was 2 additional charges on my statement.  Contacting BBB  this is a rip off !!!!

I just printed out last years 2012 charges on my bank card and noticed that from Jan 2012 to July 2012 I was charged $14.99 by TLG*TRVLADV7775977, location number 800-548-1116 for what I don't know.  This is a scam of some sort.  Shame on me for not catching this sooner.  Unfortuanately the time limit on protesting charges has past but I will pay more attention to my monthly statements from now on.

"TRVL ADV 800-548-1116" has been billing my mother-in-law's credit card $12.99 every month for god knows how long. Makes me sick to think of what we will have to do to get this cancelled and to know she will never see anything back in return. How is this legal?? How do we stop it??

Hey I saw everyones posts and went to cancel my TLG Shoppers account the number they gave me was 1-800-526-4848 And the Great Fun number was 1-877-488-9480 they will try to make it so that you keep your account open but if you tell them at the end NO I SAID CANCEL they will cancel it or say they just canceled it

Unsolicited $139.99 charge on credit card.  Am trying to remove charge.

its so funny because when I called them with this number you all posted i told them my information and they said oh we dont have any record of you being a customer her... then i pulled up my bank statement and told them the title thats on there then shes says"ooohhh tell me what you first name is".."oh is this your address and phone number" im like yea it is i thought u said you didnt have any records of me in your system, well not for travelers advantage..hee is the right number for TLG.. and she gave me 1800-526-4848. Im like smh ok then she says are you not happy with this plan we can reduce it for you.. im like no i just want yall to stop taking money out of my account. i never recieved anything in the mail about this service then she starts pulling up my history about when they spoke to me and when they emailed me.. Im like i dont recalect NONE of that so just take me off this [***] and stop taking money out my account now... then she said ok its done whould like your confimation number? im like yea... and your name too [***]! sike naa i didnt say [***] but oh man i wanted too.. i just asked politely for her name and the confirmation and hung up. its prolly a fake name for all i know..lol

Over a month ago I was on the phone booking a hotel room and they transferred me to these people saying I would get $40.00 cash back on my hotel room, yeah never got it.
Does anyone know how else to get rid of their $16.99 a month scam without having to get a totally new credit card?

Did you get a refund or did you just cancel your subscription with Travelers Advantage?  They scammed me and am thinking about cancelling my credit card and applying for another card if I do not get my money back.  I have not used their offers or services so it is money out the door.   Please email me at specialist1008@yahoo.com and put scam in the subject line.  Thanks.

Hi I signed up with them after a Credit Cleaning company and have already cancelled the credit cleaning co. I just called the 800 number and they were more than helpful to cancel the account. I think maybe over then internet might not be the right way to do it, they always say it takes up to 48 hours and that the longest 48 hours I've ever seen with a lot of companies. Just thought I'd let everyone know to call them and they are helpful with a case number and everything. All you have to do is give that to your frauds dept with your bank if you get a charge and they will cancel the transaction

Did you tell your bank to stop paying?
Did you call your cardmember services- if you have a debit card and that's where they are taking the money from?
Do it quickly, because you can only get back 6 months  worth of charges (usually).

I had the same problem , called VISA as soon as I noticed, but got back only the 6 months, I mentioned.

I called in November 2013 and ask that this be canceled and I have noticed where I have been billed 16.99 for November and December 2013. I want this to be taken care of now
