They have called my cell phone many times over the last year. I don't answer telephone calls from 800 numbers. They rarely leave a message. when they do leave a message they won't say what they're calling about.

Today, for the first time, they called my place of business, both to the switchboard number and to my private line. I don't know how they got those numbers but I am very annoyed.

If you are legitimate business, tell me who you are and the nature of your call. "An important business matter" is not specific enough. There are too many scammers around for me to be bothered with things like that.

    Dear Sam
Debt companys dont leave you alone.  Debt companies, after being paid, sell your information to other debt companies, so unless the person gets a written letter from somebody stating that their debt is paid in full the debt company that supposedly will leave you alone will continue to sell your debt down the road, this dear was reported on an investigative news show. You absolutely need proof on paper from these debt companies or the company itself that is inquiring payment or your in for a world of constant harassment.

As far as I know, we don't owe any money for anything?  We had some bad tenants in a rental property we own and I wonder if they gave someone our number?  Lovely.  No message left and this is the first time they've called.

These people have cost me $9 in cell phone fees (so far). I have a plan that charges per day when used. I would gladly spend $1000 to give someone a $9 ass kicking.

They call my cell phone but I never pick up 800 numbers. They only let it ring twice before they hang up anyways.

If I do answer, I'll give them the standard response I give debt collectors: if you get it before I do, send me a receipt. Otherwise you'll get it when I get some money. *lol* That usually shuts them up.

I have received a number of calls from this company on my cell phone. The past two times they have refused to even tell me the name of their company. Finally, speaking to a "Miss Prevost" today, I asked the question twice and that was the magical formula. She finally revealed the name of the company but wouldn't discuss the nature of the call. If you want to speak to someone, you should divulge information about the nature of your business first. The charming part was when she told me that we were "supposed to be adults" and that I "wasn't really doing that". I don't accept condescending phone calls from people that have nothing better to do than play phone games with busy people.

I received a few calls from this company with just music playing.  I called back and the call was answered immediately.  I told the lady on the phone that this was a company phone and they said so your name is not "XX" I said no and she said i'm so sorry to have bothered you, I'll make sure to make a note on this number.  They were very polite.

    Owe no debts
This number repeated calls, about once a week. We have paid all of our bills. When we call back it goes to gives a number to call for dating singles. Putting on blocked call list. If someone thinks I owe them something they can be an adult and call themselves.

Sam don't be a prick. Not everyone who gets calls from collections agencies are bums. I work in the collection field and half of the collections we do are medical collections which I bet if you check your credit you have a few. Simple typos in Dr. offices or people moving and Dr.s sending bills and they do not get forwarded. So with out you knowing or ever being made aware you have a collection for $100 or less. So quit preaching you arrogant [***] and leave people alone until you know the story.

This pissed me off! I'm in the middle of class ( I'm in 8th grade btw ) and my phone starts to vibrate. My teacher takes my phone and answers it in front of the whole class only to find out it was an 800 number with a recording that says ALL THE OPERATORS ARE BUSY! Then how the hell am I getting this call?!?!?! I've only had my phone for 12 days and already I'm getting calls from these people. Wow. Somebody please kick their [***] for harrassing us!
