- Alfalfa replies to john fisherSure thing. Want that order with fries?
No one here at 800notes can make the calls "stop" for you. You are going to have to be proactive and do it yourself. The next time they call, demand a legitimate, physical mailing address in which to send a cease communication letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested. This is your right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If they refuse, let them know your attorney will get this information for you and see them in court. - JD StrawSounds like the recording said Pine Point, debt collectors. I didn't stay on the call after I heard the name. I don't currently have any debts that would require a debt collector to be calling. I have debts but I pay them on time every month. I do know from what I've read about these debt collecting maggots that sometimes they buy old debts from somewhere and once they get their nasty, grubby fat hands on the information, they have the nerve to try to resurrect it and use their bullying, nasty, rude tactics to collect. Happened to me once, long time ago, back in the 1980s. This debt was well over 7 years prior to last time I had being bullied for payments by the original debt collectors, I was out of work when it went into collections so I couldn't pay them then and I didn't pay the new debt collectors and since the debt was well over 7 years old I refused to be bullied by the "Johnny-Come-Latelys."

- Charlie replies to debt collectorMost "Debt Collectors" don't pay their own bills. They are the lowest form of life that exist in any industry. Most of them have been unsuccessful at anything else in life and would rather be doing something else. For hire, they oppress old people, disadvantaged people of all sorts, and generate stress and misery on people until submission to their request.
- Roo| 2 repliesThey called me, asked me my name And I confirmed (not thinking) then they asked me my DOB, I simply asked who they are and what they are calling about. They responded with we are first point and they need to confirm you are who say, and that they connot give out anything else for the protection of their clients. And I then said well if you can't tell me a reason for your call I cannot give you anymore information. They hung up.
I called back got a different person. I asked them who they are. First point, they say. What is it that you do? We do lots of things here, whats your name, they asked? I said well can you list some of the tings you do, so I can better understand why you need my personal information? Ma'am I have alot of customers waiting to speak with me, so I'm going to have to end this with a I hope you have a wonderful day good bye now.

- Heinz57 replies to RooYes very sketchy...You made 2 mistakes... confirming personal information to a total stranger over the phone and secondly you called them back (twice). Now they have some information about you and you also verified your telephone number for them. (*67 does not work on toll free numbers like 800). Do not answer unknown calls and do not call them back. Protect the rest of your personal information...no matter how mundane it may seem to you, somebody else wants it.
