Got a call from them May 28, 2015 at around 8pm central time.  Number showed up as 1-800-613-1545.  Searched it and I am glad I came across this.  I don't know who these people think they are...but CLICK!!!

These people keep calling me, whenever I do answer no one says anything back. I just ended up adding them to my reject list. Now my phone won't ring when they call. I'm okay with that.

Scam pre-identity theft just trolling for information.  They claim I own money to an immigrant for lawn care.  I don't owe anyone and live in a condo, no lawn to maintain.

    GORUCK rep
Someone who said their name was Alonzo called my work numbers and claimed my company owed ~$4k in outstanding payments to FedEx, something about discounts that were no longer valid. I asked him if he was calling directly from FedEx or on behalf of FedEx, he said the latter and did I want to go ahead and pay those amounts now? I told him that I was not the correct person and that I would let our finance department know. Probably his biggest tell was that he seemed way too elated that I did not just hang up on him. Beware of this scam.

The order generated by an attorney would be called a cease and desist...not decease. No one has to prove anything to the person calling, especially since they call looking for other people. You have to prove they do owe whether that is on the phone or court. No cha-ching in your pocket.

Received a collection letter, also.  They are bill collections, for various companies, the one I got was from the energy company.

$25.00 owed for early disconnection from the community aggregation utility service.  It is a LEGIT company.  RMS in my area is for The Receivable Management Services Corporation located in Columbus Ohio. It has a claim # and a ref. # listed, I just called the company that was listed in the subject referenced and discussed the issue.  SOLVED!
I believe they use different phone numbers, too.

I will develop a report on these crooks so check back in the next day or two.

Lots of complaints on this criminal organization including several FTC lawsuits.  Do not pay them a penny and make them follow the letter of the law.  They are now required to do this:

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

At which time you must do this:

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

They called looking for a person we have no association with at all! They wanted to ramble on knowing I am recording them as I do all calls from these type of calls. They are bill collectors, looking up last names and calling anyone who has the same last looking for information.  Just another way for innocent people being harassed over someone's bill you do not even know!
