- LI work in Accounts Payable. They said we had an unpaid FedEx invoice from February turned over to collections. The invoice number does not match FedEx's invoice number format. I gave them a general email to send the invoice, but nothing in 2 days. They gave me a claim number, but what does that mean? Think they were expecting a payment over the phone.
- Caller: Inaudible
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigheadThey called me about 9:30 this morning. Have no clue who they are, I was kind of curious so I came here. Reading all the complaints, I recommend not answering.
- Anon replies to TimThey literally called me at 10:37pm yesterday. Didn't answer.
- Me| 2 repliesThis is a debt collection firm. It is legitimate.
- Caller: RMS
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to MeYou are absolutely right! This is legitimately a criminal enterprise that never follows the law and steals money from people.
- Ned replies to MeMe, who are you really? Do you work for these people? They are in fact a real business, operating internationally, but legitimate? I think not. The FTC has imposed sanctions on them for violations of the US-EU Safe Harbors Framework. FTC has also ruled against them for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- NedThey have been calling several times a week throughout August. They didn't leave a message the first time, so the number was blocked. They keep calling but of course can't get through.
- NedThey are still trying to call every few days or so, but can't get through. They are nothing if not persistent.
- SamI got a call saying I needed to pay 140ish dollars for my waste management bill that I keep on top of. I immediately went to my account online and it had a number that was half of what this person said. I told her that and she was trying to set up me paying my number and i told her "hell no, I will pay through the website." after she hung up i talked with someone from waste management directly and there was no overdue balance.

- LJWe have been getting a call from this number at our office at 8 am daily (we don't open til 9, so no one answers of course). We don't have any unpaid debt for our company, we are debt free and don't even use credit cards.
- Brent| 1 replyBE VERY CAREFUL! This phone number is for a legit debt collector. However, someone is spoofing their number in order to scam you. If they call, don't answer. Call the number back to see if the company has an actual debt collection on you.
- Caller: Scammer
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Gunnar replies to BrentDo NOT call them back! A legitimate debt collection agency will make itself known to you BY MAIL!
The process of valid debt collection doesn't start with mysterious 'phone calls. When a person owes a legitimate debt he, or she, is almost always well aware of it. Letters will have been received & credit reports will show the fact. Fraudulent debt collectors & bottom-feeding Junk Debt Buyers (JDBs) will start their scams with 'phone calls. They won't mail out the required validation notices. They won't mail out anything!
Frauds & Scammers have little fear of meager civil penalties. Crossing the line in to the realms of mail fraud is something they will NOT do! The thought of being caught leaving a "paper-trail" is something that leaves them using a lot of paper themselves. Toilet paper!
If anyone is foolish enough to actually talk to a "debt collector" on the 'phone, remember one thing. Tell the minimum-wage clown to MAIL you the required validation notice within the MANDATED 5 business days of initial contact. When the fool starts stammering, blubbering, issuing threats & trying to sound like he actually knows something about the laws in place governing the lawful collection of debt...HANG UP!
Know your rights under the FDCPA & look in to the Statutes of Limitations regarding debts in your state. Once that's done, you're well on your way to being able to deal with any vermin that try to bilk you of money.

Gunnar - Veritas replies to ninjaFile a complaint with FBI at www.ic3.gov as FBI said to file a complaint there even if it is not an internet but regular fraud complaint.
- CindyRMS - asking for AP. I have no idea who Rosie Coleman is or RMS.

- Carol| 1 replyI have gotten two calls two days in a row. I don't owe anything to anyone that would be in collections. My question is to those who say these are legitimate debt collectors. IF they are then WHY don't they leave a message? Anyone who is not professional enough to leave a message WILL NOT hear back from me.
- Gunnar replies to CarolRead through this thread. All has been explained. My post from Nov. of last year is quite clear & several others are as well.
Rats don't only dwell in sewers & vermin are known to sometimes drive nice cars. It all depends on how they play their game. Frauds & scammers all pay the piper but, sadly, some don't do it soon enough. They're all failures, they all know it, none of them care. They live for the now, they care only for themselves & greed is their only motivation. When caught they cry like babies, claim bankruptcy," find Jesus" & throw themselves on the mercy of the court. THEY ARE VERMIN!
Be Safe. Be Aware.
Gunnar - ChrisSCAM. R.M.S is a fake company trying to get money for some fake bill. Just ignore them. They are not a real company. In fact they are associated with fraud from India.
- LisaThey call EVERYDAY twice a day. Once while I'm at work and 1:30pm everyday. It's to the point that if the phone rings after I get home, I don't even bother silencing them anymore. I know who it is now.
