Company has been calling me three days a week for 3 weeks now.

Just got a call from this number. Usually I don't answer when the screen says unknown, but, for whatever reason I answered. Pre-recorded. Debt collectors are supposed to send you snail mail and/or call you directly. It's obviously fake, but annoying and are probably making money off the innocent and the gullible. They have no conscience.

These guys are tricky. I blocked this number on my phone so now they call with "unavailable" number to get through. Unrelenting jerks.

These scammers are calling again using 800-618-2247.  The Caller ID says "Unavailable" and they are able to get past any blocks to leave a threatening message.  These criminals should get the death penalty.  Our government should be ashamed of itself for not protecting US citizens from unwanted, illegal spam robocalls.

Keeps calling our business and hanging up.  Originally the lady said she was calling regarding a check they received and wanted to know what the check was for.  Since she never said she was calling from a collection agency, I automatically assumed she was trying to get our accounts payable department.  Ever since that call they hang up, when I called back I found out they were calling for someone that is not at our business and the lady told me she would remove the number from the collection list.

Received a call from the number this morning. It was a robot call stating that our business had an outstanding balance. Was immediately suspicious as our legitimate invoice calls always have a specific company that we have an account with named. The message just stated that they were Focus Receivables Management and that we should call them back at 866-618-2247 regarding an outstanding balance. After repeating that message twice, the call ended. Legitimate calls we've previously received from companies we have contracts with instruct us to press a number to be connected with an operator to discuss the amount due.

I called the number back, and it went to a message stating that the call center was busy, and gave an option to press one to leave a message. I opted to wait for an operator. After approximately 3 minutes, it automatically sent me to a voicemail. I hung up and called back. This time it automatically sent me to a voicemail after the initial robotic greeting. I am now writing this off as a scam.

A call from John Williams at Focus Revenue Management or something like that calling for Roger Christian. I need them to stop calling my number. 9725523880!

They have been calling my house phone for the last several months saying someone owes on a account . Now they are calling and saying another name for the company with the same number.

They called and a pre-recorded message said it was about a outstanding business debt with Synergy which I have no idea what or who that is.  Nothing about this seems legit.

Got a phone call from this number today and did not answer it. No voicemail left either. I have zero collections accounts. Glad I read all the threads on this site as it helped me avoid a scammer. Whew!

This company keeps calling my parent's number and they say that my LLC owes them money.

This company calls my home number stating that my son's LLC owes them money.  This is a scam.

The FDCPA does not apply to business debt.  However the calls to you probably would unless you are a partner in the LLC.

You need to send them a certified, return receipt "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

A lady called in from 800-618-2247 wanted to speak with a Business that was out of the State of Washington and I told her that business had been closed for years  as I have received calls from them in the past and she became rude and hung up.

Received original call from 833-296-9817 and requested to call back at 800-618-2247.  This was a recording and the recording referred to SEQUIUM to clear up a past due account.  This is a work number they called and there are NO outstanding bills/debt due.  Refused to call them back after reading other remarks about this number.
