- Laney| 3 repliesMan called from India. Said my computer was showing some problems. He wanted me to to to my computer and press the Windows key and the R Key. I am not sure what that would do but I believe it might give him remote access to my computer. I have never owned a Dell Computer so I did not do this.
- Caller: Said he was from Dell

- E| 1 replyCalled twice in the past half hour. I checked here after the first call that I'd ignored, answered the second call. No one responded to the three times I said "Hello". As I was saying "Okay, you'll be blocked" a recorded voice soft-spoken voice said "goodbye". Indeed!
- j replies to ECalled three times today. STOP!
- Laura| 3 repliesThey've been calling me several times a day for 2 weeks, saying they've detected a malicious file on my computer (creepy that they could tell that - and btw - no weird stuff happening on my PC). When I tell them I don't want their help and to stop calling me, the guy just continuously asked "but, why, this is very important". I asked to talk to a supervisor and he just changed his voice to pretend to be someone else. Then he threatened me that he's going to call me every hour, on the hour every. The number is the same number on Dell's website for customer service. I called to complain and was on hold for 40 minutes before someone answered. I asked to be forwarded to a supervisor and no one answered. VERYYYY MAD about this.

- Totally FrustratedI have received numerous calls from this telephone number over the past couple months. I have continuously let the calls ring until they disconnect. Today, after the second call, I blocked my phone number and called it back. It had the Dell Support message. I hung up and went about my day. When it called me again for the second time today, I answered. The man, a foreigner (no offense to any nationality, just stating the facts), says "Mame! I never let him get a word in, I went straight in on him with my question as to why I was receiving a call from Dell. He abruptly hung up. I am going to invest in an umpire's whistle and blow their ear drum out the next time they call.

- Orlando,FL| 2 repliesThis is a scam! Callers act just like Dell and state that your hard drive is in danger of crashing and that "Dell" has received "error reports" regarding this issue and they need you to get on your PC asap to let them fix it. Lol, Dont fall for it. I do own a Dell laptop and so I called the real Dell, and they said they would never call their customer's with an issue to fix and that it is a scam to gain access to your PC. These Dell imposters want remote access to you pc. I told the scamer "Dell" guy that if I have an issue with my PC, I'll call Dell for assistance and the man said "right" and hung up. Im no fool but BEWARE!!!
- Caller: "Dell"
- uslawman replies to Orlando,FL| 1 replyYep same thing to me today. Dell's number is being spoofed. In my case they actually guessed my Dell Model number. That said it is a popular seller. The caller said I had downloaded "software the the internet" which would damage my hardware if not removed.
Software can not damage hardware that is totally Hollywood nonsense. Of course bad hardware can corrupt software but that's no relevant.
I called Dell they had the exact record of my calls to them and they confirmed that they will never call a customer in this manner.
Dell security division will have to look into this spoofing or they will need to change their phone number as it is valid for calling inbound to Dell but can not be used by any Dell for outbound calls. - JDKosterIt's Dell. I am up-to-date on my billing account. I did NOT order any items from them in over a year now. I have been getting calls every day, every hour or so on my cell phone. I have answer they call a few times with no response on the their end. Sounds to me their phone system has been hack!
- Caller: Dell
- KatiThey say they are with Dell Computer but the calls are fictitious. I no longer answer any call I don't recognize the number of. If it's truly a legitimate call they will leave a message. These calls have been going on a long time.
