this is not a Dell call, this is a fake call.  Report to FCC

i received 12 calls from from 800 624-9897from 5:15 to 7:09 pm I called back and nothing.  this Calvin guy gave me another number to call him back on Wednesday 408 659-4283. I in the meantime called Dell and they have no record of me calling and talking about any issues. The last time i call was February 2015. this is a scam.

I read above the caller " guessed" info re: your PC.  Same happened to me but in more detail.  I theorize that some alleged scammer had some info himself allegedly or an allegedly employed outsourced Dell employee gave it to him in some alleged country located in the alleged Far East. And allegedly these alleged persons allegedly feel the US is one big ATM machine for them who deserve to be the vicitims of their alleged criminal activity due to Colonialism and the current economic /imperialistic practices of the West.  I get alot of alleged scam calls of various types but with  similar motives from persons with an alleged accent from these mythical countries alleged to be in the Far East.  NOTE:  I did not have to use the word alleged in the described practice of the" evil West" because mere mention of same is universally recognized as an absolute truth.  Also concurrently, accepted as a rule of God and nature that these victimized  non-Western people would all be millionaires and rocket scientists if not for the historically evil West, its' people and its' Culture.

I have received a call from this number 4 times already this morning and each time I pick up no one talks I would appreciate you not calling me again.

Received a call from this number over a dozen times today, ignored with no message on the machine. Finally answered took 4 seconds before someone said it was Dell tech support calling. Told them to stop calling since I know tech support lines will not call unless you make an appointment.

Type in 800-624-9896 on this site.  Read the comments on this number and realize this is a Dell # but is sometimes used
in several ways.  Note both numbers -800-624-9897 and 800-624-9896 are off by the last # only.  Both are Dell #s if you call them back.  But persons unknown are using them for other purposes.  I hope that the scam calls are just impersonations  of the genuine Dell #s.

This number is constantly calling almost TEN times a day.  Tired of it.  Wonder if anyone calling from this number acknowledges me saying "stop calling!".  Stop this number from calling please!!!/

this number has called over 10 times today, they are calling about every 10 to 15 mins.  They are spoofing Dell Tech support number, and posing as Dell Tech support saying they are getting reports of error codes coming into them from my computer and that I have a virus and want me to give them access to my computer.  This is a scam, do not do it, hang up on them.  Dell is aware of this, but I guess has chosen not to do anything about it.  Starting to really piss me off.

BLOCK!! This is DEFINITELY not Dell--it's some people in India spoofing Dell's number, claiming that you have virus on your computer & it's sending malicious files to Dell's server... Then he offers to access your computer remotely & kaboom, they run some bull-[***] diagnostics to show you that your computer is REALLY infected, and if you pay $299, they will clean up your computer for you! STOP!!!!  Dell does not call anyone--if you have an issue & you have warranty, you call them. Dell does not call you on their own dime offering to clean up your computer for a fee. Sounds legit but IT IS A SCAM!!!

Received several calls from 800-624-9897 but they would never leave a message.  I finally answered the call and it was a woman with a strong Indian accent telling me that Dell has detected malware on my computer.  I was traveling at the time and told her was not near my computer and asked why was Dell monitoring my computer?  She explained it was my Dell Support program reporting the malware.  I told her to call me back tomorrow (Sunday).  She said they were closed on Sunday.  I said call back Monday.  I won't be answering the call.

Do not answer or respond to this caller.  They claim to be Dell but they are not!!

Someone has somehow hacked Dell, as the people from this supposed number had my Dell service tag number.  But was clearly a scammer due to strong accent and desire to take over my computer.

This is the incoming number for Dell Customer support. However, if you receive a call FROM this number, it is most likely being spoofed (a fake caller ID), and is a scam purportedly coming from Dell about an "issue" with your computer. If you receive a call from this number, do not answer it. Legitimate calls from Dell typically will have the actual caller ID of the technician calling you, not the 800 number.

They have called me for over a month now. I have put them on reject list and today, it has been 4x since 11am and it is now 230. These people are relentless and think everyone is dumb. Wont work with me! It is a SCAM. IT IS NOT DELL EVEN THOUGH THEY SAYS THEY ARE! They are trying to gain access to you computer but saying your pc has sent error reports to "DELL" and that your pc is in danger of crashing so they try to get you to grt to your pc so they can "fix it". They act as Dell tech support. Dell will never call their customers for anything especially tech issues. Thats a waste of money, Dont fall for it. I told them if I have a problem that I will call Dell tech support and they hung up on me.

Getting calls at least every other day sometimes everyday from many different phone numbers.  All say they are from dell. All have an east indian accent.    I am told it is a scam to try and gain access to your computer.   Have tried to contact dell and their customer service is the worst i have ever experienced.   Am being harrassed by these people and was told to download an app from the app store to block numbers.  So far it is  the only recourse i have to stop the calls.   The other numbers are  800-695-8133   800-822-6031   sometimes it comes up as +1(669)9   i know their are other numbers but the 800-624-9897 is used most often

These are criminals that work for Dell in India. That is how they get you information. There is no Dell in the USA anymore and this is what you get for helping for foreign countries. They victimize us with there criminal acts. They spoof the number because it is spoofed at the Dell office in India.

Person on the phone claimed to be from Dell Tech Support but according to Dell was not. This person wanted access to my computer.

Guy with heavy accent from India called himself "Mike" and says he's from Dell technical support and he was notified that there was a problem with my computer.  I knew this was the usual and common "Dell" scam (similar to the "Microsoft" scam) and I immediately cynically asked him if he wanted to load his scumware on my computer to vacuum up all my passwords, personal information, etc., so he could raid my bank accounts and open credit cards.  He was surprisingly candid when he replied "Yes".  And then I hung up on him.  This is a SCAM.

Just keeps calling after i have blocked.  May be Dell but i want nothing to do with them. Harrassment.

I received a call from a foreign guy claiming that he was from Dell and that they were receiving messages that my computer was infected with a virus. I have always had McAfee and never had a problem with my computer. It is a scam! This is the send time they've called.
