I decided to listen to this "Dell" tech and see exactly what he wanted me to do.  This guy had my name, my email, my Dell computer id # AND knew the model of my computer.  He told me I have errors on my computer that he can help me remove.
He asked me to push the windows key and the letter R.  I asked him if that gave him access to my computer and he said no (liar).  I asked him why Webroot wouldn't have caught the errors and he hung up!

I have blocked their number too. I even stated they were full of s**t. I don't own a Dell computer. And yet they keep trying to call me too. This is ridiculous.

This is a BIG SCAM. Sounds like from India.  Says he is from Dell.  Dell would never call me like this. I know Dell, i call them directly myself.  Horrible man. I told him to stop calling me, as I know he is a scam.  He started swearing at me.  Ever since then, the calls are coming every hour.  I am so sick of this SCAM.

Say They are Del, but NOT del
They called me the other day saying they were from Del and that they were getting reports of suspicious activity from my computer.  They insisted on giving me a service tag number, and deliver date for a del computer.   (I did not check to see if it was actually correct for one of our computers because it all sounded shifty.)  When I told him that I was not interested in his help, he got angry and aggressive about it... acting like I was an idiot for not taking their 'free' help that he kept stating over and over.  Then for the following days I have been receiving calls from the same number.  Some of them with someone on the line, and others with the same guy starting his same speach to me again.  I told him to remove me from their list, that I knew they were NOT from Del and to NEVER call me again.  We'll see if that works.  I'm not holding my breath though.  I am not sure of the purpose of the call.. maybe to get control of my computer and copy information for identity theft?

A Call Blocker stopped my interruptions from robo calls and scammers.  102 individual callers get a rejection message and my r doesn't :)

Since the day I bought Dell which one day stopped working and I had to call Dell which was transferred Indian call center. My name, my call history, my computer's model is with all these tele-threateners. I keep getting calls from an Indian sounding guy calling himself Sam, Steve, or whatever name he can pick to sound American. Tells me in his thick Indian accent that he is receiving error messages from my computer. I kept telling them to stop calling me, I am in do not call list too. But these calls keep coming. Dell has sold my information to the scammers. I AM NEVER BUYING DELL AGAIN.

Received a call from this number at 7:30am and that alone told me it couldn't be authentic. In general I never answer calls from 800- type numbers when a company name isn't included, and wait to see if the caller will leave a message. 9 times out of 10, they don't.

    pissed off!
They fricken called me at 0630 am! Who the hell calls at 630 in the morning, doesn't respond to saying hello 3 times, wake me up when it wasn't time to get up. I'm pissed! I call back and ir says its dell. They have called in the past and have given this excuse that we have a virus. My husband starts yelling in the phone stating they are liars and to shove it up their ass! If we do have a virus, let us deal with it ourselves! Idiots!

Asked to speak to me by name. Introduced himself as "John" (heavy indian accent). Stated that he's from Dell and is calling about my "computer". Stated that they were receiving many error messages from my computer into their "database". As soon as I said "please take my phone off of you calling list" hung up before I finished the phrase.
