I received a call this morning and the woman knew the computer's serial number. Sounded authentic but I hung up anyway. She wanted control of my computer. Seems the scam is getting more sophisticated

I received a message from a Dell representative, on Facebook, thru their Facebook page.  Giving me instructions on filing a complaint about these calls.

I also got several calls from these LOSERS,  When the guy called me, he told me if I was aware that my computer was infected with a malicious  file, I then responded by telling him are you aware that I DON"T have a computer ! ( In reality I do)  In short,  one lie deserves another lie !

Same crap. Two. Three times a day. I have cussed him like a dog. Still calls me everyday. I'm so mad I could [***] nails!!!!  I want him to stir and fall back in it!!!

This is out of control you would think or phone company can trace these calls. It's clearly a scam!

We should sew dell!  They have our tag I'd's. How unless the are ex dell support members running a scam!  Dell should be doing doing the trace them!  They are not doing anything! !!!!  I bought a dell laptop and now I'm being harassed!!!!!  I bet we all file a lawsuit on dell. See if they do something then!!!!

Problem is   How can we trust this is Dell?  I'm not putting my service tag out there. It's been compromised already!  Dell should be responsible for this. They was hacked   They have my name and tag number and all. I bought a Dell and now being harassed!

I think it's a Dell tech gone bad. That's why he can get out service tag #'s

I got 13 calls from this number in a matter of hours yesterday. I had already blocked the first call when there was no answer, but my phone kept notifying me of new blocked calls. When I decided to look into the call log to see what numbers were being blocked, I was surprised to find this number 13 times, every 10 minutes for a while, then every 30 min to an hour. I've gotten the computer support calls before (not pretending to be from Dell yet though) and love to waste their time by pretending to go along with them, then have something catastrophic happen with the PC, just to see what their reaction will be. "You called to help me, so why can't you tell me how to fix my PC booting to a blank screen?" LOL! I've been hung up on and cussed at by these losers. I've been thought worse of by much better people than these fools.

Called 7 times Saturday, and 5 TIMES IN THE LAST HOUR!!! No voicemail, no nothing. Tempted to answer with "westboro baptist church" or "serial killers are us" and see if that makes them stop.

I do not answer the phone, but they call all day long for the last 2 days.

Someone has called me 6x in the last 2 days from this number. When I answer, they don't say anything.  Number is Dell's but can't find a live body to report it to. Doubt it's really from Dell. Finally just blocked it.

Dell will NEVER contact you by phone for ANYTHING unless you purposely call them and schedule a call with an exact time frame. They will NEVER offer you 1000 dollars for anything other than a refund, and they will NEVER initiate a call that says they see or recognize a virus in their datasphere or whatever crap they tell you.

If they get your bank account information, you're screwed. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GIVE THEM THAT.

i answered a call from that number, and asked the caller if he was wearing any pants.  he hung up.  that takes care of that...

yep.. but it is not dell.  somehow they have figured out a way to use Dell #.  I wish they would leave me alone.  They even call me from other number too.

I filled in the complaint...The only information I gave out was the basic.  I did NOT fill in  my service tag number nor my phone number.  All I gave out was my first name and wrote out the complaint.
