It's the Sprint Account Services Dept, they call you if there's an issue with your account that you are not happy with.

They called me for a Job interview with Sprint in Las Vegas. Not a scammer.

i received a call from this number as well for a job but the number that was left which was 702-879-8239 was not valid would you happen to have a better number to return the call.

I happened to have gotten a call from this department that actually did send me new phones for my account for .99 ea. The rep was very kind and helped me to get my bill lower each month and helped me to get new phones for my workers. I was able to make the switch to new motorola renegades for 6 employees and the phones are great. They would have cost me 119.99 ea. I was hesitant at first and search the information provided. The rep that I talked to informed me that Sprint is trying to assist the long time customers to get into better phones and save money. I would like to see all my utilites do that. I have been with them for 10 years and will continue to be with Sprint. I was able to get the phones without signing new contracts which made us very happy as well.  It is a shame that others in Sprint where not able to confirm for you the rep that you dealt with was not a scammer. You missed out on a great deal. :)

I got a call from 800-639-6111 and Rebecca left me a voice message stating she was calling from Sprint and that I needed to call 866-877-7137 to discuss my recent move and plan with Sprint.

I pressed *2 on my cell phone and talked to a Sprint Customer Service Rep. who verified my address and had idea why I would have gotten a message like that, but there were no notices or red flags on my account.

I have received at least 5 calls from 800-639-6111 and they ask for a name that is hard to understand.  I told them my phone number is on a "Do Not Call List" and I would appreciate it if they didn't call again.  A couple hours later the call showed up on the caller ID and I didn't answer, so a loud screeching sound was made until I answered and ended the call.

Just received a call from this number.  They left a message and it was just a courtesy call from Sprint asking about our recent change of address and our new service area.

I got a call from this number and then called Sprint. This is NOT one of their numbers! Originally, the woman said it was but when my complaint went to the supervisor, she told me that they are aware of this # and it isn't from them. They took my complaint and told me they will trace the number.

BTW, anyone one this board saying this is a REAL number, are probably part of the phishing scam.

i never got a call from them but this number has charged about 52 dollars out of my checking account

This is a scam. What type of respectable business calls people at 1:00 AM?!? I don't even have Sprint!

This is a BOGUS SCAM!

My checking account was hit for $1046.52 from Sprint Wireless. With the phone number 800-639-6111 from COLORADO.
They hit me 24 OCT
25 OCT and 26 OCT after my debit card was cancelled already.

Sprint Customer Service did not authorize etc. and I do not owe anything on my bill.

BEWARE!

Call your BANK and File a fraud claim.

You will get your money! I did!

This number calls me about 13 times a day. Starting at 5am EST up until about 11pm

So far I've received 5 calls from this number.  3 were hang up's and two were recordings saying I should receive a refund check in 10-15 business days.  The funny part is, the number I have now has never been with Sprint.  So I'll be ripping this check up (if one actually arrives which I doubt) so that it can not be traced to my bank account.

Received a voicemail on my cell phone. Caller identified herself as being from Sprint, mentioned the message was for "Chantall something unintelligible," apologized for "our" call being disconnected and requested that I call back at 1-800-639-6111. I don't have Sprint, nor do I know "Chantall something unitelligible." Won't be calling them back.

Wish I could bill the perpetrators of all the bogus calls I receive. At ten cents per call I'd be a wealthy man.

Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I work for the Sprint call center in Lexington, KY.  I called myself and it did in fact come up as the 800-639-6111 number.  Not really sure why though.  I work in the change of address department and we do call Sprint customers when we get a change of address notification in from the post office.  When we call we leave a voice mail and the call back number which is 1-866-877-7137.  I don't know about other call centers but we are only aloud to call people between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM in their respective time zones.  So if you get a call from that number outside of those hours in your time zone then it is definitely a scam.  It is against Sprints policy to call at any other hour.  Just thought I would let you all know.   Also agents can get fired for calling and hanging up so if that happens call *2 and report it.  Anyways just thought I would throw in my 2 cents.

I just received a call from this number but did not answer.  I googled the number and was able to read through these posts.  I ussed to have an account with Sprint, but I moved to AT&T in February of this month.  I hope this isn't a scam!
