For autopay they will place a $1 hold at n your account to process the autopay then it'll drop off and your actual bill will be charged to your account--however the $1 takes a while to fall off

That phone number showed up on the print out of my bank statement with Sprints name where
They  have withdrew over $1000.00 unauthorised and they are saying that the money has been returned to the bank so I go to the bank and the bank says no they have not returned my money it's been like this for 14 days so now I have filed a police report I recommend that that everyone does this.

Here's a new one.  My wife was called on her Sprint phone and I am the primary on the account.  Gave correct name, but I couldn't understand what he was trying to talk about or sell.  The only clear part was a call-back number (855)504.0157  I smell a rat.

I received a call from my banks fraud department today. This number is listed along with it saying it was sprint. We switched to them a week ago. Also got a charge for $1. However it was followed up by an attempt to charge $151 to my card. Our first bill isn't due til next month and that is not the amount due!

Just saw on another post that they own Virgin Wireless. Virgin tried to charge almost $600 to my card this morning in addition to Sprint charging 151 to it. I'm beginning to question my decision to switch to Sprint.

Watch your CC!!  I am being billed for a phone bill from Sprint*wireless 800 639-6111 for bills I am not responsible for.
I paid a bill for someone back in Aug. 2016 with my credit card and now in 2017 I have already been billed for 2 one 1/18/2017 $163. and then 1/18/2017 another one for $494.08.  Cc co called to inform me my card they thought might be being used by someone without my authorization.  They were Correct and thank MC. What shows on the bill is sprint*wireless KS. I am a Sprint Customer and have been for over 20 years, pay by check not cc and have had no problems until this.  Let's find the employee that is doing this or whoever. Co. was informed not to bill this cc after the first one, were notified after the second, cc co. called after the third and now they won't do it again. Whoever you are get a job, I worked for my little bit of fixed income.

Picked up phone thinking was another company. Nobody said a word, so I hung up. There are so many ways to rip off someone if you really want to. I don't know if it was Sprint, or some other individual utilizing that numberas their cover.

Don't answer your phone + go hide under your bed... guess that's the only safe space...?Ridiculous. We need to get our "leaders" to come up with ways to protect us...from ourselves. We invent a bunch of 'smart' products, because we like all those nice toys. Then when our privacy and peace of mind are compromised because these gadgets have glitches or imperfections, then how happy do all these technological wonders make us?

Look at what's going on with all these senators, governors, and other civil servants--being dismissed, fired, quitting, being accused of sexual misconduct, and our president tweeting through garbage every day.

Wake up!  Protect yourself, your ID, and don't answer calls you don't recognize. Eventually maybe some of these idiots will get a real job, but if we don't make changes in what we're doing, the lazy people are going to continue going after the low-hanging fruit.

I just received a charge in my bank account from Sprint Wireless 800-639-6111 KS this is a fraud!  I did not make these charges nor do I even have a Sprint account.  My bank account is working on noting this as fraud and declining charge and changing my card.

Just received this call.  I didn't answer but called back.  Routed to a Sprint rep.  No records of me ever.  Always been Verizon.  I contacted my bank and set alerts on my online banking to flag anything that remotely has Sprint in the transaction title.  I created various alerts using the common transaction titles on this thread to make sure that whatever is used, I'm notified immediately.  I contacted my Visa Fraud line as a heads up.  Currently there are NO charges EVER.  I combed through my bank account and nothing. I am trying to be proactive on this.  I can see most here didn't know until after seeing the charges.  Nobody has time for this [***].  I am risking not closing my card and account and reopening a new one just yet because I have SOOOO many accounts used monthly to change this info with.  Not worth it just yet.  Been through this with my card twice.  That process to change everything was painful and daunting.  Just throwing this out there.  I hope more google this number if they miss it and catch it before [***] happens versus after.  Good luck!

SPRINT Mobile steals money from your account even after you close the account.  Cancel your bank account.  Do not trust SPRINT Mobile.  If you use SPRINT Mobile, only use a pre-paid debit card account card like Green Dot, or other with only the funds needed, otherwise they will take more than needed. Do not connect this prepaid debit card with any viable account.

They emptied my bank account. I have not had an active Sprint in quite a few months. I have no money to pay my monthly car payment, nor utility bills.  I am a disabled senior, mid 60s with traumatic brain injury and volunteer with homeless and veterans when I am not in therapy and doctor appointments. I just called my bank to cancel my account and now I have to reopen a new account.

Straight Talk did the same thing.  I'd call in my payment and they took more money out than they were authorized to take. I switch to a different company.  I used Service Cards with Straight Talk.  Their scam was that... I purchased my service card and called in the day before as not to have an interupt in my service.  Then, unexpectedly... my service did not work. I called and asked what happened to my service considering that they had my money a day early. They said that I had to pay a reconnect fee and late fee to have it turned back on.  So, I had to buy another Service Card more than I needed to get my phone turned back on. They said that this was my fault since I did not call and tell then to use the money in my reserve for my service plan starting that day.  Excuse me?  I called in the day before to give then my payment due the next day to avoid interuption. So then, I did autopay... then the real problem started... they kept taking double payments and payments of more than authorized.  I quit them only to end with with a more expensive nightmare with Sprint.

My Sprint bill kept increasing with each bill and I  could no longer afford it with my limited income.

It pays to only use prepaid credit cards like Green Dot when dealing with companies like Sprint, Straight Talk.  Then they can't take more or any unauthorized money.  This is why I switched to a company that uses Prepaid Service Cards.  That is it.

Sprint, should have a class action case bought against them.  Giving the your debit card info gives them access for future withdrawls.  Unethical.

Um, why did you feel the need to share your life story with us? And what does it all have to do with this number? Did you get a call from it? If so, who did they claim to be and what did they want? If not, why did you pick this particular thread for your rambling post?

I think your just very mistaken, since a web search of this number consistently displays "Sprint" in most of the results. You most likely mis-typed the number to get that name in the results.

It seems to me your just very unhappy with them and ranting about it won't change anything nor will it help anyone here to know your personal opinions.

Are you with Verizon or other phone service? I was chatting with Verizon & within seconds of ending started getting phone calls from Sprint!  11 of them so I blocked the call!  Am on Do not call list!

One, that post is from over 8 years ago, they're not going to see your reply.
Two, stop thinking scammers are going to give a rat's tail about the DNC-it's not a call blocker (never was), and you should do some reading into what it does and does not cover.
Three, are you even aware of how these numbers are dialed? With a computer.
Four, highly doubt it was actually Sprint: most likely a scammer spoofing a legit number
