robo call for a charity. I am blocking!

FAKE CHARITY CALL! Called spoofing a local business so I answered. It is obviously a scam if they have to spoof another number in order to trick you into answering. Woman said it was Veterans of America and gave number to donate car, boat, or other vehicle, 800-669-0250. Internet data says this is a well-known scam.

Received call from Janice Davis at 11:30 am, 7/3/17, asking for donations of cars and real estate. She gave as a callback number 800 669-0250, already identified as a scam call.

Please be advised. This is fraud and a scam. If you receive a call or voicemail from this number send us the information support@Veteransofamerica.vet so we can build a case for the FTC. These people are pretending to be from Veterans of America and soliciting for donations. As the VP of Veterans of America I am very disappointed to have to share this. VOA will never ever call you for donations. We build tiny homes for homeless Veterans. And bothering people at home, work or via phone is not something we support. Please share this with others so we can put a stop to this mess. Thank you for your understanding.

We called to address the situation and they hung up and were rude. We did contact the FTC and they told us to build a case, which is why I mentioned if anyone has a recording or info to email it to us support@veteransofamerica.vet. It would help. Thank you for being understanding.

Repeated phone calls with messages left from these folks. Tried to research but found no info. Am fed up with charities using folks sympathies for Veterans to get money for themselves. Feel bad for the charity that has registered as a non profit with this name as they are not associated with these calls.

↪ Today, I received a call from 248-397-0079. The caller left a recorded message leaving this number as the callback number for a supposed charity named Veterans of America.

I called in response to phone solicitations asking if interested in donating vehicle consider donating to Veterans of America. Caller called from 805-426-6140 and requested to call 800-669-0250. I donated a car May 3rd & was told that state would send tax deductible receipt in 3-4 weeks. I had called to follow up due to no receipt mailed. Same guy answers & he said his name is Terry. I called several times inquiring after waiting different time frames. Now it has been 3 weeks & after calling again, this time Terry hung up the phone. I tried calling back & it went to voice mail. That is when I began to research & found number online for Karen informing me of this scam. I am to blame as I should have researched before i donated.

Correction on original post. I called after waiting 3 months. My post indicated 3 weeks. I waited 3 months after being told that delay was for different reasons. This time I called with details of the numerous reasons given to me by Terry & still no receipt, Terry hung the phone.

The phone# is legitimate enough as I called them back & asked them to stop  calling me & the guy was rude & yelling at me & hung up on me so I called again to say something to him & he said for that, we will call you 25 times next month.   I called back & left a message telling him who would donate to a charity with such rude people & he must be mental & I have reported him to the Federal Trade Commission.  I have dealt with him several times this year.   I believe he is a scammer & he is mental as he always yells when you ask him to stop calling

I looked up the name in several websites (charitycheck101.or; hipaaspace.com; guidestar.org; nonprofits.findthecompany.com) and found them listed with an address of 1320 Via Margarita, Pls Vrds Est, California 90274. They list a Rasahid Malik as the contact and an EIN 330808119 showing them as a 501(c) (3)

Called to have my phone number deleted from their call system and the individual hung up on me.  Called back and he hung up again after telling me that I will get another call because I called him!  Extremely rude.. spam?

Called 3 times in less than a week  This happens weekly, asked to be removed from call list and have blocked number, somehow they still keep calling

I called them back and asked to me taken off the list.  The guy answering the phone called by name and said he'll make sure I only get called me.  Scum - this is total harrassment!

Why don't you take action.  This is a horrible, harrassing organization that people of confusing with yours.  File an official complaint with the FCC.  If you sit back and let this happen - you deserve it!

Here is what I have discovered so far: The number that called me is (702) 560-6084. According to the reverse phone number lookup this is registered to Linda Milford and the address given is "S Hyman Pl" in Calico Hills NV. Google Maps says this is an unknown street. Spokeo.com says there is only one Linda Milford in Nevada and her address is 4673 Bersaglio Street, Calico Ridge NV. Now it is entirely possible that someone is spoofing Linda Milford's phone number and that she has nothing to do with this at all. I have received this same recorded message originating from several other numbers, so I'm going to report my findings to the Federal Trade Commission and see if they can investigate. Interestingly I reviewed the last three phone numbers I am blocking due to this Veterans of America scam and the number Cox is blocking is NOT the same as what showed up on my caller ID.

They ask for donations of cars, realestate and whatever.
Checked on Charity Navigator and there are too many to list.
